Abstract

L'invention concerne l'énantiomère (-) du ténatoprazole de formule suivante:

(voir formule ci-dessus) L'énatiomère (-) du ténatoprazole, ou (-)-5-méthoxy-2-[[(4-méthoxy-3,5-diméthyl-2-pyridyl)méthyl]sulfinyl]imidazo[4,5-b]pyridine, possède des propriétés pharmaco-cinétiques améliorées permettant une posologie d'une seule prise de médicament par jour dans les indications pertinentes. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation de cet énantiomère (-) pour traitement de pathologies digestives.

Claims (13)

1. Le (-)-ténatoprazole, ou (-)-5-méthoxy-2-[[(4-métho-xy-3,5-diméthyl-2-pyridyl)méthyl]sulfinyl]imidazo[4,5-b]pyrï-dine ou un de ses sels, substantiellement exempt de l'énantiomère (+).
2. Composition pharmaceutique, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend le (-)-ténatoprazole, ou (-)-5-méthoxy-2-[[(4-méthoxy-3,5-diméthyl-2-pyridyl)méthyl]sulfinyl]imidazo-[4,5-b]pyridine ou un de ses sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables, substantiellement exempt de l'énantiomère (+), et un ou plusieurs excipients ou supports pharmaceutiquement acceptables.
3. Composition selon la revendication 2, caractérisée en ce que le (-)-ténatoprazole est sous forme de sel de métal alcalin ou alcalino-terreux.
4. Composition selon la revendication 3, caractérisée en ce que le (-)-ténatoprazole est sous de sel choisi parmi les sels de sodium, de potassium, de lithium, de magnésium et de calcium.
5. Composition selon l'une quelconque des revendica-tions 2 à 4, caractérisée en ce qu'elle est sous forme de dose unitaire contenant 10 à 80 mg de principe actif.
6. Composition selon la revendication 2, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend le (-)-ténatoprazole en combinaison avec un ou plusieurs antibiotiques.
7. L'utilisation du (-)-ténatoprazole substantiellement exempt de l'énantiomère (+), ou d'un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable, pour le traitement des pathologies digestives.
8. L'utilisation du (-)-ténatoprazole substantiellement exempt de l'énantiomère (+), ou d'un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable, pour la fabrication d'un médicament pour le traitement des pathologies digestives où une inhibition de la sécrétion acide doit être intense et prolongée.
9. L'utilisation du (-)-ténatoprazole substantiellement exempt de l'énantiomère (+), ou d'un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable, pour la fabrication d'un médicament pour le traitement des endo-brachy-oesophages (oesophages de Barrett), des symptômes atypiques et oesophagiens du reflux gastro-oesophagien, et des hémorragies digestives résistant aux autres inhibiteurs de la pompe à protons.
10. L'utilisation du (-)-ténatoprazole substantiellement exempt de l'énantiomère (+), ou d'un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable, pour la fabrication d'un médicament pour le traitement des pathologies digestives, du reflux gastro-oesophagien, et des hémorragies digestives, chez des patients polymédicamentés.
11. L'utilisation du (-)-ténatoprazole substantiellement exempt de l'énantiomère (+), ou d'un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable, en association avec un ou plusieurs antibiotiques pour la fabrication d'un médicament pour le traitement de l'ulcère duodénal résultant d'une infection par Helicobacter pylori.
12. L'utilisation du (-)-ténatoprazole substantiellement exempt de l'énantiomère (+), ou d'un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable, pour la fabrication d'un médicament pour la prévention ou le traitement des récidives de l'oesophagite.
13. L'utilisation du (-)-ténatoprazole substantiellement exempt de l'énantiomère (+), ou d'un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable, pour la fabrication d'un médicament présentant des propriétés pharmacocinétiques améliorées.
