Abstract

A television system comprising an electronic program guide (EPG) including a picture-in-picture (PIP) window and a means for returning to a last channel viewed full screen in a television prior to entering the guide. The EPG displays a program list (46) including a listing for the last channel displayed full screen (45). A
method and system for navigating between a television viewing mode and an EPG mode is disclosed. Also, a method and apparatus for tuning to multiple channels using multiple tuners is described.
