焦点的黄斑疾病治疗,尤其是ARMD,代表了一个主要的问题。由于完整的黄斑提供了用于阅读、驾驶等(除了边缘视力)需求的视力,实际上没有有效的用于治疗其变性的方法,这就意味着越来越多的人仅保持边缘视力。

发明概述
本发明基于这个结果的至少一部分,即当ARDM的治疗需要移除水晶晶状体时,代替使用的IOL的聚焦能力可以由传统的透镜来提供,与此同时,相同的晶体也做了调整,使得光线聚焦于视网膜的一部分(健康的)而非黄斑处。本发明考虑到不希望为此而使用棱镜,因为这会导致不必要的笨重,并且一般不会因图像变性而使用菲涅耳棱镜;而后者在如果黄斑无论如何已变性了的情况下,成为了稍微重要的因素。根据本发明的人工晶体包括,作为其中一面的菲涅耳棱镜。
该新的晶体提供了在单一的单元内必须的特征。因此相对于任何具有相同功能的已知的IOL更便于使用,并且相对于任何具有相同功能的已知的IOL来说具有更小的体积。它很薄,而且很轻。尽管其会使图像变性,但这是较小的缺点,而且无论如何,该视网膜也不再具备完好的分辨率了。
本发明的描述
现在通过参照由本发明的晶体横截面视图的附图唯一体现的实施例来描述本发明。该晶体包括传统透镜的基本上一半,具有一个弯曲的表面1和一个菲涅耳棱镜形式的相对表面2。
本发明的晶体可以是通常的尺寸并可以由任何合适的材料制成。这种晶体的一般特征是公知的。该新的晶体可以由刚性或亲水的材料制成。合适的材料是那些用于人工晶体的材料,并包括疏水和亲水的包含丙烯酸酯和甲基丙烯酸酯的聚合物,例如聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯,和硅酮弹性体例如聚二甲基硅氧烷。
如果需要或希望的话,本发明的晶体可以包括一个,二个或多个触点。众所周知,它们可以在其周边与晶体的主体连接,并且可以以放射状或者成切线延伸。
本发明的晶体通常仅具有一种放大率,可以将晶体制成每一个都具有不同的屈光能力。可选择地,可以使用“背负式(Piggy-backing)”,通过使用根据本发明的补充晶体来改变晶体的放大率。
该新的晶体可以在用于眼睛的任一方位,但是其通常优选为,光滑面面对着后面的膜。具有菲涅耳棱镜的这个面,通过用半透明材料覆盖该晶体(该范围由图中点划线表示),从而很光滑。
该菲涅耳棱镜的自身构成可以有任何合适的设计变化。包括平面形(平坦的盘)、圆柱形(弯曲的盘)和球形(弯月的盘)。
本发明的晶体可以在移除水晶晶状体之后用于任何需要改变焦点的黄斑症状的治疗。该新的晶体特别益于ARMD的治疗。其功能可通过将这种晶体代替US-B-6197057中附图25,27,31和33所示的晶状体/IOL附加的补充晶体看出。

Claims (2)

1.一种人工晶体,其包括,作为其中一面的菲涅耳棱镜。
2.一种复合人工晶体,包括权利要求1所述的透镜,以及覆盖所述一面的材料,从而使得该复合晶体具有一个光滑的表面。
