Description
技术领域
本发明涉及一种移动通信系统,更具体地,涉及一种用于在增强型通用分组无线电系统(EGPRS)移动电子通信设备中接收和管理下行链路无线电链路控制(RLC)数据块的方法。
背景技术
全球移动通信系统(GSM)是用于3G无线语音和数据通信的主要全球标准。在典型的GSM通信系统中,在源处对语音和/或数据进行编码,并通过网络传输至接收机。在接收到所传输的数据时,接收机执行信道均衡和解码,以将语音和/或数据返回可识别形式,从而传递给用户。GSM/EDGE(增强型数据业务)表示GSM标准演进的最新阶段。EDGE使用调制方案在现有GSM频谱内实现高达384kbit/s的理论数据速率。
通用分组无线电系统(GPRS)被开发为针对GSM标准的分组数据网络。GSM蜂窝电话使用高斯最小频移键控(GMSK),用于物理层上的调制。GSM规范经历了若干修订,每次修订均使网络得以提升。该规范的一次修订是增强型GPRS或EGPRS,其通过在物理层使用8PSK调制和GMSK提供更高的数据速率,并且通过使用自适应编码和增量冗余提供了无线电链路控制(RLC)和媒体访问控制(MAC)子层的性能改进。物理层的这些改变对于现代GSM/EDGE网络的EDGE组件来说十分重要。
在EGPRS中,网络任一侧的RLC/MAC层位于移动电子通信设备、或者移动台(MS)和基站子系统(BSS)上。对等RLC/MAC实体使用一个或更多个RLC/MAC协议数据单元(PDU)进行通信。每个PDU使用块序列号(BSN)进行编号。在应答模式中,通过发送和接收RLC/MAC实体以允许通过发送附加和增量信息修正出错的块而跟踪BSN,以帮助解码。针对下行链路(BSS至MS)状态,BSS轮询MS以请求所接收的块的状态,并且MS在必要时段内以状态报告(分组下行链路ACK/NACK)进行应答。针对上行链路(MS至BSS)状态,BSS定期将状态报告(分组上行链路ACK/NACK)发送给每个通信MS。
在第三代伙伴计划、技术规范组数字蜂窝通信系统(阶段2+)、通用分组无线业务(GPRS)、移动台(MS)--基站系统(BSS)接口;无线电链路控制/媒体访问控制(RLC/MAC)协议3GPP TS 04.60V8.27.0,2005年9月中提出了在针对GPRS媒体访问控制/无线电链路控制(MAC/RLC)层的无线电接口处使用的过程。
RLC功能定义了用于将逻辑链路控制(LLC)PDU分段和重组为RLC/MAC块、以及链路自适应的过程。定义了不同的RLC/MAC块结构,用于数据传递和控制消息传递。用于数据传递的RLC/MAC块结构对于GPRS和EGPRS是不同的,而相同的RLC/MAC块结构用于控制消息传递。EGPRS下行链路RLC数据块包括用于指示RLC数据块中出现可选的扩展八比特组(octet)的一个或更多个扩展(E)比特。尽管认为E比特是报头字段,但是它在块的数据部分中传输。当E比特复位为0时,可选的扩展八比特组立即跟随其后,其中该扩展八比特组包括用于指示LLC PDU的长度(即八比特组的个数)的7比特的长度指示符(L1),以及用于指示任何其他扩展八比特组的E比特。如果将E比特设为1,则不跟随扩展八比特组,而是立即跟随LLC PDU。因此,当将数据块的E比特被设为1时,这指示LLC帧在当前RLC数据块中结束。然后,移动台(MS)内的RLC/MAC组件将数据传递至上层,在上层执行自身的出错检测(error check)。
在EDGE数据块的下行链路传输中,移动台(MS)有时会错误地对数据块进行解码,但CRC校验仍将通过。例如,如果作为分组破坏的结果将E比特错误地复位为0,则RLC数据块将被误解译为该RLC数据块中剩余的LLC数据帧的长度指示符(L1)。这导致LLC数据帧过早结束。最终,在LLC层内检测到该差错,丢弃整个IP分组并向基站(BS)重新请求该分组,导致时延和数据吞吐量降低。
发明内容
在本说明书的一个方面中,在处理数据块之前实现对错误地复位的E比特进行检测。如上所述,EGPRS协议规定:如果E比特已被复位为0,则RLC数据块的后续字节是表示在该RLC数据块中结束的LLCPDU的长度(八比特组的个数)的长度指示符(L1)。因此,如果长度之和大于数据块中字节的个数,则该RLC数据块被看作已被破坏,并在传递给LLC层之前丢弃该数据块,从而克服了上述讨论的时延和数据吞吐量降低的缺点。
大体上,这里提出了一种方法,包括:a)接收具有至少一个比特和至少一个值的数据块,其中所述至少一个比特用于表示关联扩展数据的出现,所述至少一个值表示所述扩展数据的长度;b)确定所述至少一个比特的逻辑值;若所述比特是第一逻辑值,则c 1)计算每个所述值之和;c2)确定所述扩展数据的大小;以及c3)若所述和超过所述大小,则丢弃所述数据块并执行步骤a);或者,若所述比特不同于所述第一逻辑值,则c4)执行步骤a)。

具体实施方式
参照图1,提供了移动电子通信设备22的框图。移动电子通信设备22基于微型计算机,该微型计算机包括与包含由处理器46执行的多个应用程序的只读存储器(ROM)48相连的处理器46。处理器46还与随机存取存储器单元(RAM)50和持久性存储设备52连接,RAM50和持久性存储设备52负责便携设备22的各种非易失性存储功能。处理器46接收来自诸如键盘之类的输入设备54的输入。处理器46向诸如LCD显示器之类的输出设备56进行输出。处理器46也与内部时钟58和无线电设备60连接,无线电设备60继而与天线61连接。无线电设备60和天线61共同用于通过GSM无线电通信信道进行通信,如上所述。因此,移动电子通信设备22可操作地用于:经由无线电设备60和天线61,接收并发送包含与远程基站系统(BSS)进行通信的数据的通信信号。
更具体地,处理器46包括用于实现RLC功能的软件,如(1)在LLC层与MAC功能之间传递LLC PDU,(2)将LLC PDU分段为RLC数据块,并将RLC数据块重组为LLC PDU,(3)将RLC/MAC控制消息分段为RLC/MAC控制块,并根据RLC/MAC控制块重组RLC/MAC控制消息,以及(4)用于启用RLC数据块的选择性重传的后向纠错(BEC)。
图2示出了具有2比特报头的EGPRS下行链路RLC数据块,该2比特报头包含FBI比特和E比特。最后块指示符(FBI)比特用于指示当前的下行链路RLC数据块是否是下行链路临时块流(TBF)的最后的RLC数据块。如果FBI=0,则当前块不是TBF中最后的RLC数据块,而如果FBI=1,则当前块是TBF中最后的RLC数据块。
如上所述,E比特用于指示RLC数据块报头中可选八比特组的出现,例如在图3A-3C中所示的EGPRS中RLC数据块定界(delimitation)的示例中。根据图3A的示例,TBF(下行链路)的前两个RLC块描述了LLC PDU(LLC PDU 3和LLC PDU 5)在两个连续RLC数据块上延展(stretch)的情况。将会注意到,仅LLC PDU的最后段需要长度指示符(L1)。在图3B中,LLC PDU正好填满RLC数据块(LLCPDU J+2和LLC PDU J+4),但是最后的LLC PDU不能填满最后的RLC数据块(LLC PDU J+6)。在LLC PDU正好填满RLC数据块、使得向其添加L1会把LLC PDU推入按顺序的下一RLC数据块的情况下,会在RLC数据块中出现LLC PDU,而没有相应的L1。如果该LLCPDU并不是TBF的最后,则其定界通过具有值L1=0的下一RLC数据块的第一长度指示符(L1)来指示。在LLC PDU(或其最后段)并没有完全填满RLC数据块的情况下,将L1=127的长度指示符添加至RLC数据块的最后L1。在图3C中,LLC PDU精确地填满RLC数据块,并且FBI=1且E=1。
现在转向图4,示出了优选实施例的方法,用于接收下行链路RLC数据块(步骤89),确定扩展(E)比特是否已被复位(步骤91),如果是(E=0),则对扩展八比特组的长度求和(步骤93),并计算数据块中字节的个数(步骤95)。数据块中字节的个数是全部字节的个数减去长度指示符的个数。如果长度指示符(L1)的和大于数据块中字节的个数(步骤97),则丢弃RLC数据块(步骤99)。
这里示出并描述了特定实施例。然而,对于本领域技术人员来说,可以进行修改和变化。所有这些修改和变化将被认为落在本实施例的范围之内。
Claims (3)
1.一种管理下行链路无线电链路控制RLC数据块的方法,包括:
a)接收无线电链路控制RLC数据块,所述数据块具有用于指示RLC数据块中出现一个或更多个可选的扩展八比特组的至少一个扩展(E)比特,其中,每一个扩展八比特组包括7比特的长度指示符(LI)和另外的扩展(E)比特,所述长度指示符(LI)用于指示在该RLC数据块中结束的逻辑链路控制协议数据单元(LLC PDU)的长度,所述另外的扩展(E)比特用于指示任何另外的可选的扩展八比特组;
b)确定所述至少一个扩展(E)比特的逻辑值;
若所述至少一个扩展(E)比特是第一逻辑值,则
c1)计算所述RLC数据块中的所述长度指示符(LI)指示的长度之和;
c2)计算所述RLC数据块中的字节的个数,其中,RLC数据块中字节的个数是全部字节的个数减去长度指示符(LI)的个数;以及
c3)若所述长度之和超过所述RLC数据块中的所述字节的个数,则丢弃所述RLC数据块,并作为响应执行步骤a);或者,
若所述比特不同于所述第一逻辑值,则
c4)执行步骤a)。
2.一种用于管理增强型通用分组无线电系统(EGPRS)移动电子通信设备中的下行链路无线电链路控制RLC数据块的方法,包括:
a)接收所述下行链路RLC数据块;
b)确定所述RLC数据块的报头内的扩展(E)比特是否已被复位为零,以指示所述RLC数据块内存在扩展八比特组,每个所述扩展八比特组包括用于指示在该RLC数据块中结束的逻辑链路控制协议数据单元(LLC PDU)的长度的长度指示符(LI);
c)若所述扩展(E)比特没有复位为零,则返回a),否则
d)计算来自所述RLC数据块中的每个所述扩展八比特组的每个长度指示符(LI)指示的长度之和;
e)计算所述RLC数据块中字节的个数,其中,RLC数据块中字节的个数是全部字节的个数减去长度指示符(LI)的个数;以及
f)若所述长度之和超过所述字节个数,则丢弃所述RLC数据块,否则返回a)。
3.一种管理下行链路无线电链路控制RLC数据块的方法,包括:
确定所述RLC数据块的报头内的扩展(E)比特是否已被复位为零,以指示所述RLC数据块内存在扩展八比特组,其中,每一个扩展八比特组包括7比特的长度指示符(LI)和另外的扩展(E)比特,所述长度指示符(LI)用于指示在该RLC数据块中结束的逻辑链路控制协议数据单元(LLC PDU)的长度,所述另外的扩展(E)比特用于指示任何另外的可选的扩展八比特组;
对所述RLC数据块中的每一个所述扩展八比特组中的长度指示符指示的长度进行求和;
计算所述RLC数据块中字节的个数,其中,RLC数据块中字节的个数是全部字节的个数减去长度指示符(LI)的个数;以及
若所述长度之和大于所计算的RLC数据块中字节的个数,则丢弃所述RLC数据块。
