技术领域

背景技术

本发明的各种实施例的一个优点是能够阻止基于从其复制的源的游戏标题画面彼此交互。例如,一些游戏系统允许用户在他/她的设备上创建游戏标题画面的本地副本。由于游戏系统允许创建本地副本,因此通常不存在阻止使用同一源游戏媒体在同一类型的其他游戏系统上获得其他本地副本的机制。这些额外的本地副本可以允许相应用户在还没有购买游戏的情况下进行游戏。因此,本发明的一个实施例阻止基于从其复制本地副本的源副本的设备使用其本地副本彼此交互(对抗游戏/一起游戏)。

信息处理系统的示例
图3是图解根据本发明的实施例的、信息处理系统300的更详细视图的框图。应该注意,信息处理系统300可以是(但不限于)游戏控制台、便携游戏设备、服务器132、台式计算机、笔记本式计算机或个人数字助理。应该注意,为了简明起见,没有示出诸如(但不限于)键盘、指向设备、操纵杆、扬声器、麦克风和显示器之类的用户接口。
信息处理系统300包括计算机302。计算机302具有连接到主存储器306、海量存储接口308、终端接口310和网络适配器硬件312的处理器304。系统总线314互联这些系统组件。海量存储接口308用于将海量存储设备(如数据存储器316)连接到信息处理系统102。数据存储设备的一种指定类型是计算机可读介质读取器,如光盘驱动器,其可以用于读取计算机可读介质(如使用程序编码的CD 318或DVD(未示出))。数据存储设备的另一种类型是被配置为支持例如NTFS型文件系统操作的数据存储设备。
在一个实施例中,如以上详细讨论的那样,主存储器306包括内容管理器116、游戏的本地副本110和可选数据文件144。内容管理器适于管理游戏系统与包括受保护媒体的一个或多个其他游戏系统之间的交互。在一个实施例中,内容管理器116包括适于从诸如游戏系统104之类的远程处理系统接收至少一个唯一标识符的唯一标识符332接收器。所述至少一个远程唯一标识符与诸如本地副本112或游戏媒体上的游戏之类的、远程处理系统上的远程软件包相关联。在一个实施例中,内容管理器116还包括比较器324,其适于响应于接收,将所述至少一个远程唯一标识符和与本地处理系统上的本地软件包相关联的本地唯一标识符进行比较。本地软件包与远程软件包相对应。所述至少一个远程唯一标识符表示远程软件包是可执行软件包的母副本和子副本之一。本地唯一标识符表示本地软件包是可执行软件包的母副本和子副本之一。在一个实施例中,内容管理器116进一步包括交互授权器(interaction authorizer)326,其适于基于比较来授权本地软件包的操作。
尽管图解为并存于主存储器306中,但是很明显,不要求主存储器306的相应组件在所有时间或者甚至同时完全驻留于主存储器306中。在一个实施例中,信息处理系统300利用传统虚拟寻址机制以允许程序表现为好像它们具有对大量、单个存储实体(在此称为计算机系统存储器)的访问,而非对多个、较小存储实体(如主存储器306和数据存储设备316)的访问。注意,在此使用术语“计算机系统存储器”来一般地表示信息处理系统300的整个虚拟存储器。
尽管对于计算机302仅图解了一个CPU 304,但是可以同样有效地使用具有多个CPU的计算机系统。本发明的各种实施例进一步合并其每一个具有用以从CPU 304卸载(off-load)处理的独立、完全程式化微计算机(fullyprogrammed microprocesser)的接口。终端接口310用于直接将一个或多个终端320连接到计算机302以向计算机302提供用户接口。可以是非智能或完全程式化的工作站的这些终端320用于允许系统管理员和用户与信息处理系统300通信。终端320还可以由用户接口和连接到计算机302并由终端I/F 310中包括的终端接口硬件控制的外围设备组成,所述终端I/F 310包括视频适配器和用于键盘、指向设备和其他设备/接口的接口。
主存储器中包括的操作系统(未示出)是诸如(但不限于)Linux、UNIX、Windows XP和Windows Server 2001操作系统之类的合适的多任务操作系统。本发明的多种实施例可以使用任何其他合适的操作系统。本发明的一些实施例利用诸如面向对象的框架机制(framework mechanism),其允许操作系统(未示出)的组件的指令在位于信息处理系统300内的任何处理器上执行。网络适配器硬件312用于提供到网络106的接口。本发明的多种实施例可以适于使用包括当前模拟和/或数字的任何数字通信连接或经由未来联网机制来工作。
虽然在完全功能性的计算机系统的上下文中描述了本发明的实施例,但是本领域的技术人员将理解,本发明的各种实施例能够经由CD或DVD(如CD 318、CD ROM或其他形式的可读媒体)或经由任何类型的电子传送机制作为程序产品分发。
用于本地内容创建的操作流程
图4是图解在游戏系统创建游戏的本地副本的处理的操作流程图。图4的操作流程图在步骤402开始,并直接流向步骤404。在步骤404,游戏系统102与包括游戏内容的源通信。例如,源可以是服务器132上的在线店铺,或者诸如光盘之类的游戏媒体108。在步骤406,游戏系统102在其存储器中创建本地副本110。在步骤408,游戏系统102还与本地副本110一起存储唯一标识符120。例如,可以存储子标识符130,表示从特定游戏媒体108创建本地副本110。也可以存储母标识符128以识别用于创建本地副本110的母游戏媒体108。然后控制在步骤410退出。
用于游戏系统交互管理的操作流程
图5A、5B和图6是图解基于正使用的游戏软件相关联的唯一标识符、管理游戏系统交互的处理的操作流程图。图5A和5B的操作流程图在步骤502开始并直接流向步骤504。在步骤504,游戏系统102建立与诸如另一游戏系统104之类的一个或多个远程处理系统的连接。在步骤506,内容管理器116从其他游戏系统104的每一个接收一个或多个包202。在一个实施例中,在与其他游戏系统104建立多玩家游戏会话期间接收包202。在步骤508,内容管理器116识别所接收到的包202内的每一个远程唯一标识符(如唯一标识符122)。在一个实施例中,远程唯一标识符与远程处理系统上的远程软件包相关联。

在步骤516,内容管理器116确定其系统102是否正在使用游戏126的本地副本110。如果该确定的结构是否定的,则在步骤518,内容管理器确定其当前系统102和其他系统104两者是否正在使用单独的游戏媒体108。在步骤520,内容管理器116允许其系统102与其他系统104交互。然后控制流程在步骤521退出。如果该确定的结果是肯定的,则在步骤522,内容管理器116将其他系统104的唯一标识符122与正在其本地系统102使用的游戏软件126的唯一ID 120进行比较。在步骤524,内容管理器116确定在其系统102的本地副本110是否是正在其他系统104使用的游戏媒体的子。例如,内容管理器116正试图确定其本地副本110是否从正在其他系统104使用的游戏媒体创建。
可以通过各种方法来确定。例如,游戏媒体可以包括母ID 128和子ID130。只要本地副本110、112从游戏媒体创建,则其与本地副本110、112一起存储子ID 130。在一个实施例中,如果其他系统104正在使用游戏媒体,则所述系统104上的内容管理器118可以发送与所述游戏媒体相关联的子ID130。换句话说,由所述游戏媒体使用以识别从其创建的本地副本的子ID 130被发送在包202中。因此,内容管理器116可以将在其系统102中的其本地副本110的子ID 130和与正在其他系统104使用的游戏媒体相关联的子ID进行比较。如果所述ID匹配,则其他系统104上的本地副本112是从游戏媒体108创建的。
在另一个实施例中,游戏媒体还可以与本地副本110、112一起存储其母ID 128。母ID也可以被发送在从使用游戏媒体的其他系统104接收到的包202中。这允许内容管理器116将用于在其系统102创建本地副本110的游戏媒体的母ID 128和与正在其他系统104使用的游戏媒体相关联的母ID进行比较。如果这两个母ID匹配,则在其系统102上的本地副本110是从正在其他系统102上使用的游戏媒体创建的。
如果内容管理器116确定其系统102的本地副本112是其他系统104的游戏媒体,则在步骤526,其阻止其系统102与其他系统104交互。然而,如果内容管理器116确定其系统104的本地副本110不是其他系统104上的游戏媒体的子,则在步骤528,内容管理器116允许其系统102与其他系统104交互。然后控制流程在步骤530退出。
返回到步骤512,如果该确定的结果是肯定的,则在步骤532,内容管理器116确定正在其系统102使用的游戏软件是否是本地副本。如果该确定的结果是否定的,则其系统102正在使用游戏媒体108并且控制流向步骤534。在步骤534,内容管理器116将其他系统104的唯一标识符122与正在其本地系统102使用的游戏软件114的母ID进行比较。在步骤536,内容管理器116确定其他系统104上的本地副本112是否是其当前系统102上的游戏媒体的子。例如,内容管理器116正试图确定其他系统104上的本地副本112是否是从正在其当前系统102上使用的游戏媒体108创建的。这可以以如上面关于步骤522-530所讨论的类似的方式确定。
如果内容管理器116确定其他系统104的本地副本112是其游戏媒体108的子,则在步骤538,其阻止其系统102与其他系统104交互。然而,如果内容管理器116确定其他系统104上的本地副本112不是其游戏媒体108的子,则在步骤540,内容管理器116允许其系统与其他系统104交互。然后控制流程在步骤542退出。

图6是图解基于与正在使用的游戏软件相关联的唯一标识符、管理游戏系统交互的另一处理的操作流程图。图6的操作流程图在步骤602开始,并直接流向步骤604。在步骤604,游戏系统102建立与一个或多个其他系统104的连接。在步骤606,内容管理器116从每一个其他游戏系统104接收一个或多个包202。在步骤608,内容管理器116识别所接收到的包202内的每一个唯一标识符122。在该实施例中,唯一标识符122识别用以在系统102、104上创建游戏的本地副本110、112的在线店铺。
在步骤610,内容管理器116将与正在其系统102使用的游戏软件126相关联的唯一标识符120与从其他系统104接收到的唯一标识符122进行比较。在该实施例中,内容管理器116正试图确定在其系统102的本地副本110是否是从与其他系统104的本地副本112相同的位置下载的。在步骤612,内容管理器116确定唯一标识符120、122是否匹配。如果该确定的结果是肯定的,则在步骤614,内容管理器116允许其系统102与其他系统104交互。然后控制流程在步骤616退出。如果该确定的结果是否定的,则在步骤618,内容管理器116确定本地副本110、112不是从同一位置下载的。在步骤620,内容管理器116阻止其系统与其他系统104交互。然后控制流程在步骤622退出。
非限制示例
本发明可以以硬件、软件或硬件和软件的组合来实现。根据本发明的一个实施例的系统可以以一个计算机系统中的集中式方式实现,或者可以以其中不同组件散布在几个互连的计算机系统中的分布式方式实现。任何种类的计算机系统(或适于执行在此所述方法的其他设备)是适用的。硬件和软件的一般组合可以是具有计算机程序的通用计算机系统,当载入并执行所述计算机程序时,控制计算机程序以便其执行在此所述的方法。
一般而言,执行以实现本发明的实施例的程序,是否作为操作系统或特定应用程序的一部分、组件、程序、模块、对象或指令序列可以在此被称为“程序”。计算机程序一般由大量指令组成,本地计算机将所述指令翻译为机器可读格式以及因此的可执行指令。此外,程序由本地地驻留于程序中或在存储器中或存储设备上发现的变量和数据结构组成。另外,可以基于在本发明的特定实施例中实现的应用程序来识别在此所述的各种程序。然而,应该理解,跟随的任何特定的程序名称仅为了方便而使用,因此本发明不应被限制为在由所述名称识别和/或暗示的特定应用程序中单独使用。

Claims (14)
1、一种用于管理游戏系统与包括受保护媒体的一个或多个其他游戏系统之间交互的方法,所述方法包括:
从远程处理系统接收至少一个唯一标识符,其中所述至少一个远程唯一标识符与在所述远程处理系统上的远程软件包相关联;
响应于所述接收,将所述至少一个远程唯一标识符和与本地处理系统上的本地软件包相关联的本地唯一标识符进行比较,所述本地软件包与所述远程软件包对应,其中所述至少一个远程唯一标识符表示所述远程软件包是可执行软件包的母副本和子副本之一,而所述本地唯一标识符表示所述本地软件包是所述可执行软件包的母副本和子副本之一;以及
基于所述比较,授权所述本地软件包的操作。
2、根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述至少一个远程唯一标识符进一步识别从其下载所述远程软件包的位置。
3、根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述比较包括:
基于所述至少一个远程唯一标识符,确定所述远程处理系统正在使用所述可执行软件包的本地副本;以及
确定从所述至少一个远程唯一标识符获得本地唯一标识符,
其中所述授权包括响应于确定从所述至少一个远程唯一标识符获得本地唯一标识符,阻止所述本地处理系统与所述远程处理系统交互。
4、根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述比较包括:
基于所述远程唯一标识符,确定所述远程软件包是所述可执行软件包的母副本;以及
确定从所述至少一个唯一标识符获得所述本地唯一标识符,
其中所述授权包括响应于确定从所述至少一个唯一标识符获得所述本地唯一标识符,阻止所述本地处理系统与所述远程处理系统交互。
5、根据权利要求1所述的方法,
其中所述比较包括确定从所述本地唯一标识符获得所述至少一个远程唯一标识符,以及
其中所述授权包括响应于所述确定,允许所述本地处理系统与所述远程处理系统交互。
6、根据权利要求1所述的方法,
其中所述比较包括确定从所述本地唯一标识符获得所述至少一个远程唯一标识符,以及
其中所述授权包括响应于所述确定,拒绝所述本地处理系统与所述远程处理系统交互。
7、根据权利要求1所述的方法,
其中所述比较包括确定不从所述本地唯一标识符获得所述至少一个远程唯一标识符,以及
其中所述授权包括响应于所述确定,允许所述本地处理系统与所述远程处理系统交互。
8、根据权利要求1所述的方法,
其中所述比较包括确定不从所述本地唯一标识符获得所述至少一个远程唯一标识符,以及
其中所述授权包括响应于所述确定,拒绝所述本地处理系统与所述远程处理系统交互。
9、根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述可执行软件包包括游戏。
10、根据权利要求1所述的方法,进一步包括:
从所述远程处理系统接收数据项,所述数据项包括所述至少一个远程唯一标识符,
其中所述授权包括由所述本地软件包控制对所述数据项的访问。
11、一种游戏系统,包括:
存储器;
处理器,通信地耦合到所述存储器;以及
内容管理器,适于管理本地处理系统与包括受保护媒体的一个或多个其他系统之间的交互,其中所述内容管理器包括:
唯一标识符接收器,适于从远程处理系统接收至少一个唯一标识符,其中所述至少一个远程唯一标识符与所述远程处理系统上的远程软件包相关联;
比较器,适于响应于所述接收,将所述至少一个远程唯一标识符和与所述本地处理系统上的本地软件包相关联的本地唯一标识符进行比较,所述本地软件包与所述远程软件包对应,其中所述至少一个远程唯一标识符表示所述远程软件包是可执行软件包的母副本和子副本之一,而所述本地唯一标识符表示所述本地软件包是所述可执行软件包的母副本和子副本之一;以及
交互授权器,适于基于所述比较,授权所述本地软件包的操作。
12、根据权利要求11所述的游戏系统,其中所述比较器进一步适于通过以下步骤来进行比较:
基于所述至少一个远程唯一标识符,确定所述远程处理系统正在使用所述可执行软件包的本地副本;以及
确定从所述至少一个远程唯一标识符获得所述本地唯一标识符,
其中所述授权包括响应于确定从所述至少一个远程唯一标识符获得所述本地唯一标识符,阻止所述本地处理系统与所述远程处理系统交互。
13、根据权利要求12所述的游戏系统,其中所述比较器进一步适于通过以下步骤来进行比较:
基于所述远程唯一标识符,确定所述远程软件包是所述可执行软件包的母副本;以及
确定从所述至少一个唯一标识符获得所述本地唯一标识符,
其中所述授权包括响应于确定从所述至少一个唯一标识符获得所述本地唯一标识符,阻止所述本地处理系统与所述远程处理系统交互。
14、一种用于管理游戏系统与包括受保护媒体的一个或多个其他游戏系统之间的交互的计算机程序存储产品,所述计算机程序存储产品存储包括用于执行权利要求1-10中的任意一种方法的指令的机器可执行程序。
