Abstract

背景技术
蜂窝和陆上线路电话网络中使用的很多远程通信组件都被设计为通过语音通信信道有效传输语音信号。例如,数字语音编码器(vocoder)使用线性预测编码技术来表示语音信号。这些线性预测编码器在通过语音信道传输语音信号之前过滤出噪声(非语音信号),同时压缩并估计语音信号的频率分量。
有时希望通过无线远程通信网络传输音频信号和数字数据。例如,当蜂窝电话用户呼叫“911”紧急求助时,用户可能希望通过与用于向操作人员口头解释紧急情况相同的信道向呼叫中心发送数字位置数据。然而,因为这样的信号受几种类型的失真影响,所以可能难以通过无线网络的语音信道传输数字数据信号。
例如,通过无线网络的语音信道移动的数字数据信号可能被由语音压缩算法引起的语音编码器效应而失真。另外,数字数据信号可能被由较差的RF情况和/或繁忙的网络通信引起的网络效应而失真。这些失真引入了位错误,使用诸如前向纠错(FEC)和位序列的重复传输的技术可以克服所述的位错误。
因为有很多种语音编码器(例如,EVRC、AMR等)和很多种可能的网络情况,所以难以提前预测语音信道的质量和相关联的位错误率。另外,语音信道的质量可以随时间而快速改变。因此,难以设计既最小化纠错所需的开销比特数,又同时在低质量信道环境中提供可接受的传输性能的有效FEC方案。例如,具有很少纠错开销比特的FEC方案可以通过具有很少需纠正的错误的高质量信道提供可接受的性能,但是如果信道质量变差,那么位错误的数量可以在将特定信息序列无误差的成功传递之前增加到需要很多冗余重新传输的级别。
发明内容
通过本申请的实施方案解决了上述与现有系统相关联的缺点,其可以通过阅读并研究下面的说明书来理解。
具有时间分集结合组件的接收器重新获得通过数字无线远程通信网络的语音信道传输的数字数据信号。特征提取模块接收编码数字数据信号的音频波形并产生表示该数字数据信号的特征矢量。位序列估计模块分析该特征矢量并产生与该数字数据信号对应的估计位序列。如果该估计位序列包含错误,那么存储器存储该特征矢量。时间分集结合组件通过结合存储在存储器中的一个或多个特征矢量分析第一特征矢量来产生第二估计位序列。

参考图1,无线通信网络12包括从用户23接收语音信号22的蜂窝电话14。在蜂窝电话14中的语音编码器(vocoder)18将语音信号22编码成随后通过无线数字语音信道34传输的编码的数字语音信号31(电话呼叫)。蜂窝电话14将编码的语音信号31传输到蜂窝通信位置(信元位置),该信元位置将该电话呼叫中继到蜂窝远程通信交换系统(CTSS)38。

一个或多个服务器40位于无线网络12、PSTN网络42或IP网络46中的各个位置中的任何位置。每个服务器40都包括一个或多个IBS调制调解器28,用于编码、检测并解码通过数字语音信道34传输并接收的数字数据29。所解码的数字音频音调26在服务器40中被处理或被路由到诸如计算机50的另一个计算机。

在一些实施方案中,数字数据是以约100比特/秒至500比特/秒的范围内的波特率的数据语音信道34上的输出,已发现所述范围是用于防止各种不同蜂窝电话语音编码器破坏数字音频数据的有效波特率范围。例如,在一个实施方案中,数字数据是400比特/秒波特率的数字语音信道34上的输出。在该实施方案中,每个f1和f0音调的正弦波形开始并结束于零幅度点并且继续大约2.5毫秒的持续时间。以8000样本每秒的采样率,为每个数字数据音调26产生20个样本。
图3说明了通过无线通信网络12的数字语音信道34传输数字数据分组70的过程,其根据本发明的实施方案实现时间分集组合。在所说明的实施方案中,数字数据分组70包括K比特的序列,其可以表示较长消息有效载荷的单个分组或帧。可以使用各种适当的技术将消息有效载荷子分成不同大小和格式的分组,所述技术例如是2004年2月10日颁发的名称为“In-band Signaling For Data CommunicationsOver Digital Wireless Telecommunications Network”的第6,690,681号美国专利中所描述的技术,在此通过引用的方式将该其纳入本说明书中。在一些实施方案中,每个数据分组70都包括约100个数据位(即,K≈100),根据所选择的分组协议,其可以包括多个头位,同步模式位、校验和位、分组后同步位等。
方框200将诸如循环冗余校验(CRC)码的错误检测开销位添加到要传输的数字数据分组70。这创建了具有M位的数据序列,其中(M-K)表示错误检测开销位的数目。在一些实施方案中,方框200添加了约16个错误检测开销位(即,M-K≈16)。方框205将纠错开销位添加到M位数据序列,诸如例如,Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem(BCH)码、Reed-Solomon码或卷积纠错码。这创建了具有N位的完整传输序列,其中(N-M)表示纠错开销位的数目。在一些实施方案中,完整传输序列包括总共约186位(即N≈186)和约70个纠错开销位(即,N-M≈70)。

方框230执行所解调的N位数据序列的错误纠正,并且方框235执行产生的该M位估计数据序列的错误检测。所解调的数据信号的错误纠正和错误检测可以使用本领域普通技术人员公知的各种适当技术来执行。如果没有检测到错误,那么就将该K位数字数据序列传递到其期望的接收方。否则,通过无线远程通信网络12的数字语音信道34将数字数据分组70重新传输。
图4A说明了包括特征提取模块310和位序列估计模块320的传统接收器300。如在此所使用的,术语“模块”可以指的是用于执行指定功能的软件、固件或硬件的任何组合。可以预期,由在此描述的模块执行的功能可以包含在比所述文本中描述的更大或更小数量的模块内。例如,可以通过多个模块的操作执行单个功能,或可以由相同的模块执行多个一个的功能。另外,所描述的模块可以驻留在单个位置或通过有线或无线远程通信网络连接的不同位置。

例如,在实现二进制FSK调制方案的实施方案中,如图2所示,特征矢量包括傅立叶幅度序列。对于每个位间隔(例如,以400比特/秒的波特率的2.5毫秒),特征提取模块310计算每个频率f1和f0的傅立叶幅度。这两个幅度被分别表示为S(f1)和S(f0)。然后数量S(f1)-S(f0)被记录为Xi(第i个位间隔的“软值(soft value)”)。N个软值的序列(X1,X2,X3,...,XN)表示N位数据序列的特征矢量。
在其它的实施方案中,特征矢量可以包括各种其他适当的测量。例如,在实现二进制PSK调制方案的实施方案中,特征矢量包括互相关值的序列。对于每个位间隔,特征提取模块310计算所接收的波形和两个正弦信号(一个具有0度相位,一个具有90度相位)中的每个之间的互相关值的。这两个相关值被分别表示为SQ和SI。然后数量SQ-SI被记录为Xi(第i个位间隔的“软值”)。
特征矢量X被提交到位序列估计模块320,其分析特征矢量X并产生相应的估计位序列。在上述二进制FSK例子中,每个位间隔的S(f1)的幅度与对应位是二进制“1”的概率成正比,并且S(f0)的幅度与对应位是二进制“0”的概率成正比。因此,如果Xi或S(f1)-S(f0)为正,那么位序列估计模块320将估计位序列的第i位指定为二进制“1”值;否则第i位被指定为二进制“0”值。
位序列估计模块320的目的是估计由特征矢量X表示的最可能的位序列。在一些实施方案中,位序列估计模块320应用判定规则一次一位,如上所述。在其他实施方案中,可以利用不同的位序列估计技术。例如,当解码卷积码时,每个单独的位判定都受来自邻近位周期的观测影响。
在一些情况下,由位序列估计模块320产生的估计位序列包括错误,并且该序列不能完成后续错误检测校验。在这样的情况下,图4A中所示的传统接收器300放弃该第一特征矢量X,并等待重新传输N位数据序列。
在时间t2,特征提取模块310接收第二解调信号,其包括原来N位数据序列的重复传输。然后,特征提取模块310产生第二特征矢量Y。因为传统接收器300放弃了第一特征矢量X,所以位序列估计模块320分析与第一特征矢量X无关的第二特征矢量Y。如果第二估计位序列还有错误,那么将重复该处理直到可以通过无线网络12接收N位数据序列的无错误副本或传输时间超时。

如果在判定方框455检测到错误,那么重新传输数字数据信号,并且控制返回方框405,如上所述。在一些情况下,发射器可以在接收数字数据信号的无错误副本之前终止该处理。例如,发射器可以在所选择数量的不成功重复传输或自首次不成功传输的所选时间段后停止重新传输数字数据信号。
上述的时间分集结合系统和方法相对于传统方法提供了许多明显的优点。例如,通过将特征矢量存储在存储器中,具有时间分集结合组件360的接收器220可以比传统接收器300从不成功的传输中提取更多信息。因此,接收器330常常可以使用比传统接收器300更少的重复传输产生无错误的信息序列。替代地,利用比传统系统所要求更少的纠错开销位可以实现更有效的FEC方案。
尽管已经关于特定优选实施方案描述了本发明,但是对本领域的普通技术人员显而易见的是其他实施方案(包括没有提供在此阐述的所有特征和优点的实施方案)也在本发明的范围内。因此,本发明的范围仅通过参考所附的权利要求及其等同物来限定。
Claims (13)
1.一种用于重新获得通过无线远程通信网络的数字语音信道传输的数字数据信号的接收器,包括:
特征提取模块,被配置为用于接收通过对无线远程通信网络的数字语音信道传输的数字数据信号进行编码的音频波形,以及产生描述该音频波形的第一特征矢量;
存储器,被配置为用于存储一个或多个特征矢量;以及
位序列估计模块,被配置为用于分析所述第一特征矢量和产生与所述数字数据信号相应的第一估计位序列,
其中所述位序列估计模块包括时间分集结合组件,所述时间分集结合组件被配置为用于通过结合存储在存储器中的一个或多个特征矢量分析第一特征矢量来产生第二估计位序列。
2.根据权利要求1所述的接收器,还包括被配置为用于解调音频信号的带内信令调制解调器。
3.根据权利要求1所述的接收器,其中每个特征矢量都包括傅立叶幅度序列或互相关值序列。
4.根据权利要求1所述的接收器,其中存储在存储器中的一个或多个特征矢量具有约80%或更多的与第一特征矢量公共的位。
5.根据权利要求1所述的接收器,还包括被配置为用于检查第一和第二估计位序列内的错误的错误检测模块。
6.一种用于重新获得通过无线远程通信网络的数字语音信道传输的数字数据信号的方法,包括:
从对通过无线远程通信网络的数字语音信道传输的数字数据信号进行编码的音频波形中提取第一特征矢量;
基于所述第一特征矢量产生第一估计位序列;
检查所述第一估计位序列内的错误;
如果所述第一估计位序列包含错误,则将所述第一特征矢量存储在存储器模块中;
选择存储在存储器模块中的第二特征矢量;
基于所述第一特征矢量和第二特征矢量的结合产生第二估计位序列;以及
检查所述第二估计位序列内的错误。
7.根据权利要求6所述的方法,还包括:
选择存储在存储器模块中的一个或多个附加特征矢量,用于与所述第一和第二特征矢量相结合;
基于所述第一特征矢量、所述第二特征矢量以及所述一个或多个附加特征矢量的结合产生一个或多个附加估计位序列;以及
检查所述一个或多个附加估计位序列内的错误。
8.根据权利要求6所述的方法,其中选择所述第二特征矢量包括确定所述第二特征矢量是否类似于所述第一特征矢量。
9.根据权利要求6所述的方法,还包括:如果所述第二估计位序列不包含错误,则从存储器模块删除所述第二特征矢量。
10.根据权利要求6所述的方法,其中产生所述第二估计位序列包括将所述第一特征矢量和所述第二特征矢量求和或进行平均。
11.一种用于重新获得通过无线远程通信网络的数字语音信道传输的数字数据信号的方法,所述方法包括接收对所述数字数据信号进行编码的多个音频波形;从各个所接收的音频波形中提取多个特征矢量;以及使用所述多个特征矢量一起来取得所述数字数据信号的估计。
12.一种用于执行权利要求6-10中的任何一项的方法的装置。
13.一种用于执行权利要求6-10中的任何一项的方法的计算机程序,或一种存储这样的计算机程序的计算机可读存储介质。
