Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明一般地涉及信息存储设备领域,且更具体地涉及信息存储设备的安装系统和外壳。
背景技术
信息存储设备用于为计算机系统和其它消费类电子产品检索(retrieve)和/或存储数据。磁性硬盘驱动器是信息存储设备的一个示例。包括磁性硬盘驱动器的很多信息存储设备对其外部环境是敏感的,该外部环境包括机械冲击、外部施加的力和电磁场、污染物、温度和/或湿度的变化等等。因此,信息存储设备的外壳和安装系统可能影响其性能、可靠性和寿命。
很多信息存储设备被容纳在利用它们检索和/或存储数据的系统内。例如,所谓的“内部”磁盘驱动器被容纳在利用它们存储数据的主计算机系统内,并因此内部磁盘驱动器可以利用主计算机系统的电功率、电磁屏蔽、对流冷却和/或传导冷却、振动阻尼、对外部机械冲击的一定程度的隔离等等。
其它信息存储设备不被容纳在利用它们检索和/或存储数据的系统内。例如,所谓的“外部”硬盘驱动器包括其自身的外壳,该外壳可以提供电磁屏蔽、振动阻尼、对外部机械冲击的一定程度的隔离以及有源或无源冷却等等。
现代信息存储设备的安装系统和外壳通常必须满足挑战性的空间和成本需求。因此,在本领域存在对信息存储设备的改进的安装系统和外壳的持续需求。
发明内容
公开并要求保护一种新型信息存储设备。该信息存储设备包括磁盘驱动器、磁盘驱动器印刷电路板以及第一导电护罩,该第一导电护罩在该磁盘驱动器印刷电路板之上并电耦合到该磁盘驱动器。该信息存储设备还包括桥接控制器印刷电路板和第二导电护罩,该第二导电护罩在该桥接控制器印刷电路板之上并电耦合到该桥接控制器印刷电路板。该第一导电护罩和该第二导电护罩彼此直接接触。磁盘驱动器接口连接器使该桥接控制器印刷电路板与该磁盘驱动器印刷电路板电耦合。第三导电护罩被附连到该磁盘驱动器接口连接器上并直接接触该第一导电护罩和该第二导电护罩。

具体实施方式
公开并要求保护一种新型信息存储设备。图1是根据本发明的实施例的信息存储设备100的分解透视图。该信息存储设备100包括磁盘驱动器110、磁盘驱动器印刷电路板120和第一导电护罩130,该第一导电护罩在磁盘驱动器印刷电路板120之上并通过螺钉112附连到磁盘驱动器110。磁盘驱动器印刷电路板120可以包括磁盘驱动器控制器电路以控制磁盘驱动器110内的主轴马达的旋转以及磁盘驱动器110内的致动器的运动。为了降低加工成本,第一导电护罩130优选用片状金属制作。
磁盘驱动器110包括磁盘驱动器顶表面114、磁盘驱动器底表面116和磁盘驱动器外围118。磁盘驱动器110定义出Z方向(与磁盘驱动器顶表面114正交)且磁盘驱动器110定义出在Z方向从磁盘驱动器底表面116到磁盘驱动器顶表面114测得的磁盘驱动器高度115。磁盘驱动器110可以具有各种形状因子且该形状因子基本上确定磁盘驱动器高度115。例如,磁盘驱动器110可以是形状因子为3.5”的磁盘驱动器,并具有大约为25mm的磁盘驱动器高度115。再例如,磁盘驱动器110可以是形状因子为2.5”的磁盘驱动器,并具有大约为9.5mm的磁盘驱动器高度。

在图1的实施例中,第三导电护罩170附连到磁盘驱动器接口连接器160,并且在组装后直接接触第一导电护罩130和第二导电护罩150。例如,第三导电护罩170可以用不锈钢制作。在图1的实施例中,第三导电护罩170与第一导电护罩130之间的直接接触是由从第三导电护罩170延伸出的导电突出物172提供的。导电突出物172更详细地显示在图3和图4中。考虑加工容限,可以通过排布适合于图1的实施例中的第二导电护罩150的导电缆线154增强第三导电护罩170与第二导电护罩150之间的直接接触的电可靠性。
图5示出第一导电护罩130的更近的透视图,而图6示出根据本发明的实施例耦合到磁盘驱动器110上的第一导电护罩130。在图5和图6的实施例中,第一导电护罩130包括外围电容性凸缘136,每个外围电容性凸缘至少局部与磁盘驱动器外围118重叠。为了适应加工容限,外围电容性凸缘136被设计为在与Z方向正交的方向上通过间隙与磁盘驱动器外围118分离。例如,如果磁盘驱动器110是形状因子为3.5”的磁盘驱动器,则该间隙可以在0.5mm至5.1mm范围内。再例如,如果磁盘驱动器110是形状因子为2.5”的磁盘驱动器,则该间隙可以在0.5mm至2mm范围内。
优选地,测定每个外围电容性凸缘136的尺寸以便在Z方向上与磁盘驱动器外围118重叠至少间隙的5倍。例如,如果磁盘驱动器110是形状因子为3.5”的磁盘驱动器,则在Z方向测得的重叠优选为至少2.5mm但是优选不超过25.4mm。再例如,如果磁盘驱动器110是形状因子为2.5”的磁盘驱动器,则在Z方向测得的重叠优选为至少2.5mm但是优选不超过10mm。这一重叠可以提供第一导电护罩130和磁盘驱动器110之间的期望电容性电耦合水平,以此替代或附加通过螺钉112实现的直接电耦合。外围电容性凸缘136也可以包括多个凸出部138,用来将磁盘驱动器110及其导电护罩安装到外部壳体内。

Claims (14)

磁盘驱动器,其包括磁盘驱动器印刷电路板;
第一导电护罩,其在所述磁盘驱动器印刷电路板之上并电耦合到所述磁盘驱动器;
桥接控制器印刷电路板;
第二导电护罩,其在所述桥接控制器印刷电路板之上并电耦合到所述桥接控制器印刷电路板;
磁盘驱动器接口连接器,其使所述桥接控制器印刷电路板与所述磁盘驱动器印刷电路板电耦合;
第三导电护罩,其附连到所述磁盘驱动器接口连接器;
其中所述第一导电护罩和所述第二导电护罩彼此直接接触;以及
其中所述第三导电护罩直接接触所述第一导电护罩和所述第二导电护罩。
2.根据权利要求1所述的信息存储设备,其中所述第二导电护罩包括与所述第一导电护罩接触的第一导电凸片。
3.根据权利要求1所述的信息存储设备,其中所述第二导电护罩包括与所述第三导电护罩接触的第二导电凸片。
4.根据权利要求1所述的信息存储设备,其中所述第三导电护罩包括与所述第一导电护罩接触的第一突出物。
5.根据权利要求4所述的信息存储设备,其中所述第三导电护罩包括与所述第一导电护罩接触的第二突出物。
6.根据权利要求1所述的信息存储设备,其中所述磁盘驱动器接口连接器是串行高级技术附件连接器,即SATA连接器。
7.根据权利要求6所述的信息存储设备,其中所述磁盘驱动器接口连接器是包括硬塑料体的多层SATA连接器,所述硬塑料体至少高6mm并不含有任何缆线。
8.根据权利要求1所述的信息存储设备,其中所述磁盘驱动器接口连接器在任何方向均不从所述磁盘驱动器凸出超过6mm。
9.根据权利要求1所述的信息存储设备,其中所述桥接控制器印刷电路板包括串行高级技术附件控制器,即SATA控制器。
10.根据权利要求1所述的信息存储设备,
其中所述磁盘驱动器进一步包括磁盘驱动器顶表面、磁盘驱动器底表面和磁盘驱动器外围,以及
其中所述磁盘驱动器定义出与所述磁盘驱动器顶表面正交的Z方向,以及
其中所述磁盘驱动器定义出在所述Z方向从所述磁盘驱动器底表面到所述磁盘驱动器顶表面测得的磁盘驱动器高度,以及
其中所述第一导电护罩包括至少局部与所述磁盘驱动器外围重叠的外围电容性凸缘,所述外围电容性凸缘在与所述Z方向正交的方向上通过间隙与所述磁盘驱动器外围分离,以及
其中所述外围电容性凸缘与所述磁盘驱动器外围在所述Z方向上的重叠量是所述间隙的至少5倍。
11.根据权利要求10所述的信息存储设备,其中所述磁盘驱动器是形状因子为2.5”的磁盘驱动器,且在所述Z方向测得的所述重叠量是至少2.5mm,但是不超过10mm。
12.根据权利要求10所述的信息存储设备,其中所述磁盘驱动器是形状因子为3.5”的磁盘驱动器,且在所述Z方向测得的所述重叠量是至少2.5mm,但是不超过25.4mm。
13.根据权利要求1所述的信息存储设备,其中所述磁盘驱动器是形状因子为2.5”的磁盘驱动器,且其中所述第一导电护罩包括具有厚度在0.4mm至1.2mm范围内的片状金属。
14.根据权利要求1所述的信息存储设备,其中所述磁盘驱动器是形状因子为3.5”的磁盘驱动器,且其中所述第一导电护罩包括具有厚度在0.8mm至1.6mm范围内的片状金属。
