背景技术
近来,对用于电子设备和计算机系统的基于触摸和/或接近的输入系统的兴趣逐渐增加,这些输入系统能够同时识别多重触摸和/或悬停事件。很多这些系统,例如基于互电容或某种光学感测配置的系统,涉及将周期性激励波形施加到多个感测点,以及通过在感测点处存在的触摸和/或接近的量来检测可能与该周期性激励波形相关的感测波形。在一些实施例中,这些系统将周期性激励波形施加到驱动线,所述驱动线在感测点处耦接到感测线。通常,一次一条地将激励波形施加到这些驱动线。由于设备通常包括多个这种驱动线,所以要顺序地驱动每条驱动线。
发明内容

具体实施方式
可以利用如图1所例示的多重触摸感测配置来识别多个同时或近乎同时的触摸事件。多重触摸感测配置100可以检测和监视同时、近乎同时、在不同时间、或者在一时间段上在触摸敏感表面101上的多个触摸属性(例如包括标识、位置、速度、尺寸、形状以及幅值)。触摸敏感表面101可以提供多个感测点、坐标或节点102,它们可以基本上彼此独立地工作并且代表触摸敏感表面上的不同点。感测点102可以位于栅格或像素阵列中,其中每个感测点能够同时生成信号。感测点102可以被视为将触摸敏感表面101映射到坐标系中,例如,笛卡儿坐标系或极坐标系。
触摸敏感表面例如可以采取书写板或触摸屏的形式。为了生产触摸屏,可以利用基本上透明的导线介质(例如,氧化铟锡(ITO))形成电容感测点和其他相关联的电子结构。感测点102的数量和配置可以改变。感测点102的数量通常取决于所期望的分辨率和敏感度。在触摸屏应用中,感测点102的数量还可以取决于触摸屏的所期望的透明度。
利用多重触摸感测配置,就像如下更详细描述的,在多重触摸传感器101的节点102处生成的信号可用来产生特定点处随时间变化的触摸的图像。例如,与触摸敏感表面101接触或接近的每个物体(例如,手指、触笔等)可以生成接触片区201,如图2所例示的。每个接触片区201可以覆盖几个节点102。被覆盖的节点202可以检测到物体,而其余的节点102则不能检测物体。因此,可以形成触摸表面平面的像素化图像(其可被称作触摸图像、多重触摸图像、或接近图像)。每个接触片区201的信号可以被组成在一起。每个接触片区201可以基于每个点的触摸量包括高点和低点。接触片区201的形状以及图像内的高点和低点可以用于区分出彼此更接近的接触片区201。此外,可以将当前图像与之前的图像进行比较,来确定物体随时间如何移动,以及结果在主机设备中应当执行什么对应的动作。
很多不同的感测技术可以与这些感测配置结合使用,包括电阻的、电容的、光的,等等。在基于电容的感测配置中,当物体靠近触摸敏感表面101时,在物体与接近该物体的感测点102之间形成小电容。通过检测在每个感测点102处由该小电容引起的电容改变,并且通过记住感测点的位置,感测电路103可以检测并监视多个触摸。电容感测节点可以基于自身电容或互电容。
在自身电容系统中,相对于某个基准(例如,地)来测量感测点的“自身”电容。感测点102可以是空间地隔开的电极。这些电极通过导电迹线105a(驱动线)和105b(感测线)耦接到驱动电路104和感测电路103。在一些自身电容实施例中,可以采用到每个电极的单个导电迹线作为驱动和感测线。
在互电容系统中,可以测量第一电极与第二电极之间的“互”电容。在互电容感测配置中,感测点可以通过形成空间隔开的线的构图导体的交叉来形成。例如,驱动线105a可以形成在第一层上,而感测线105b可以形成在第二层105b上,使得驱动线和感测线在感测点102处彼此交叉或“相交”。不同的层可以是不同的基板、同一基板的不同侧、或者基板的具有某些介电隔离的同一侧。由于驱动线和感测线隔开,所以在每个“相交”处有一个电容耦接节点。
驱动线和感测线的配置方式可以改变。例如,在笛卡儿坐标系(如所例示的)中,驱动线可以形成为水平行,而感测线可以形成为垂直列(反之亦然),由此形成可以被看作具有不同的x和y坐标的多个节点。另选地,在极坐标系中,感测线可以是多个同心圆而驱动线是径向延伸的线(反之亦然),由此形成可以被看作是具有不同的r和角度坐标的多个节点。在任一种情况下,驱动线105a可以连接到驱动电路104,而感测线105b可以连接到感测电路103。
在操作期间,驱动信号(例如,周期性电压)被施加到每个驱动线105a。在驱动线105a被驱动时,加到其上的电荷可以通过节点102电容地耦接到相交的感测线105b。这可以在感测线105b中导致可检测、可测量的电流和/或电压。驱动信号与在感测线105b上出现的信号之间的关系是耦接驱动线和感测线的电容的函数,如上所述,这可以受接近节点102的物体影响。如下面将更详细说明的,一个或多个电容感测电路103可以感测感测线105b并且确定每个节点处的电容。

图3例示了对应于上述配置的互电容电路300的简化示意图。互电容电路300可以包括驱动线105a和感测线105b,驱动线105a和感测线105b空间地分开由此形成电容耦接节点102。驱动线105a可以电(例如,导电地)耦接到由电压源301表示的驱动电路104。感测线105b可以电耦接到电容感测电路103。在一些情况下,驱动线105a和感测线105b两者都可以包括一些寄生电容302。

参照图1,感测电路103可以从触摸表面101获取数据,并将获取的数据提供给处理器106。在一些实施例中,感测电路103可以被配置为将原始数据(例如,对应于每个感测点102的电容值阵列)发送到处理器106。在其他实施例中,感测电路103可以被配置为处理原始数据本身,并将处理后的触摸数据递送到处理器106。在任一种情况下,处理器可以利用其所接收到的数据来控制计算机系统107以及/或者在该计算机系统107上运行的一个或多个应用程序的操作。这些线的各种实现在上述应用中加以了描述,并且包括具有触摸板和触摸屏的各种计算机系统。

具体地,由于激励波形801和802在时间段t0到t1上同相而在时间段t1到t2上异相,因此积分结果X1与积分结果X2相加(即,X1+X2)可以得到对应于行A与所感测的线的相交处的节点的电容的值,即,只有行A的激励效果。类似地,积分结果X1减去积分结果X2(即,X1-X2)可以得到对应于在行B与所感测的线的相交处的节点的电容的值,即,只有行B的激励效果。
同样适用于行C和D。由于激励波形806和807在时间段t2到t3上同相而在时间段t3到t4上异相,因此积分结果X3与积分结果X4相加(即,X3+X4)可以得到对应于行C与所感测的线的相交处的节点的电容的值,即,只有行C的激励效果。类似地,积分结果X3减去解调结果X4(即,X3-X4)可以得到对应于在行D与所感测的线的相交处的节点的电容的值,即,只有行D的激励效果。
图9例示了其中四条线被同时激励的示例性多线激励配置。在从t0到t1的第一时段期间,施加到行A至D的周期性波形901-904是同相的。在时间t1,例如在第四脉冲之后,波形901和902的相位可被调整为使得波形901和902相对于波形903和904为180°异相。类似地,在时间t2,例如在下四个脉冲之后,波形901和903的相位被调整。这可以使得波形901和904相对于波形902和903为180°异相。最后,在时间t3,例如在再四个脉冲之后,波形901和902的相位可再次被调整。这可以使得波形901和903相对于波形902和904为180°异相。参照图中的符号+和-可以理解各种波形之间的相位关系。
与在之前的示例中一样,波形901至904之间的相位关系使得每个单独行上的激励的效果作为测得积分值的数学组合而被隔离出。具体地,可以通过求和X1+X2+X3+X4来确定对行A的激励的效果。可以通过X1+X2-X3-X4来确定对行B的激励的效果。可以通过X1-X2-X3+X4来确定对行C的激励的效果。可以通过X1-X2+X3-X4来确定对行D的激励的效果。
参照图6中的流程图可以进一步理解具有多行激励的多重触摸感测配置500的操作600的过程。首先,在601处可以获得一组行的DC分量。在图8的示例中,可以通过在时间段t0到t1上积分感测波形来获得包括行A和B的一组行的DC分量。该DC分量可以指示(有些粗略地)在对应于触摸表面501的特定区域的给定组,例如行A和B内是否存在任何触摸。如果在判断块602处确定在给定组/区域内没有触摸,则可以类似地扫描下一组(例如,行C和D)。这例如可以通过实现计数器来实现(603)。如果在判断块602处确定如给定组的DC分量所指示的在该给定组/区域内存在触摸,则在块604处执行对该组的精细扫描。可以组合精细扫描的结果以提取对应于每一行的信号,如上所述。一旦扫描了所有组,则重复该处理。
返回到图5和图6,可以根据前面段落描述的原理来扫描每组行。多重触摸感测配置可以包括任意数量的行和任意数量的组。在一些实施例中,多重触摸感测配置可以采用在单个组上的多线激励,即,可以同时或近乎同时激励设备的所有线。另外,尽管关于行和列进行了描述,但是驱动线和感测线可以布置为任何几何配置。
如上所述的多线激励可以提供很多优点。例如,当同时激励多个行时,可以减小激励电压。具体地,多行激励的加法效果可以针对“每行”更低激励电压得到相同的感测波形振幅。例如,采用18Vpp(峰峰伏特)激励电压的单线扫描配置可以在同时激励两条线的情况下采用9Vpp激励电压,或者在同时激励四条线的情况下采用4.5Vpp激励电压等等,以获得类似的感测波形振幅。
减小激励电压使得可以从驱动器芯片直接提供驱动信号,而无需高电压升压器。减小的电压还有助于避免散射场和晶体管击穿问题。减小的电压还可以导致功耗降低。由于功率是电压的平方,电压减小4倍(针对四行同时激励)将每行的功率减小16倍。然而,由于有四行在被驱动,所以实际功率节省仅为4倍。然而,如上所述,在对区域的DC扫描期间没有检测到触摸时,通过不进行精细扫描也可以节省额外的功率。
上述多行激励技术的变型可以被称作差动多行激励。参照下表可理解差动多行激励,下表示出了对于以上图9中的多行激励示例的激励波形的极性(多行激励)与差动多行激励示例的激励波形的极性(差动多行激励)的比较。差动多行激励通常可以对应于上述多行激励示例,只是激励波形的极性可以被如下所示地重新配置。
如从上表所见,在多行激励示例中,施加到行A的净极性可以具有4倍于激励波形的振幅的DC分量。类似地,第一时间段(其间,可以测得值X1)还可以具有4倍于激励波形的振幅的净DC分量。在差动多行激励示例中,极性被重新配置为使得没有行没有时间段具有DC分量。没有DC分量可以得到很多优点,包括允许电荷感测电路在零偏差下工作、自动基线移除、固有质心计算、以及增大的信噪比。在一些实施例中,可能期望同时激励传感器的所有行(即,只有一组行),因为激励中缺少DC分量所以组之间的DC偏差的差值可以丢掉。
多行激励概念的其他变型包括基于相位或频率的多行激励。在前面的示例中,可以利用具有极性(相位)差的波形来激励不同行,以使得在总感测波形中可以隔离给定行的效果。另一个允许这类隔离的方式(示出在图11中)是利用具有不同频率的激励波形来激励组中的每一行。一个或多个解调电路可以分离感测波形中的这些频率,以使得可以隔离每个激励线的贡献。在很多实施例中,已经存在用于滤除噪声的解调器电路。
参照图12可以理解根据本文所描述的原理的对于激励波形的其他可能示例。定时信号1201可以定义激励时间窗口。每条线可以具有一个对应的定时信号。在激励时间窗口期间,例如在信号1201为高时,激励波形可被施加到对应的线(或多个线)。该激励波形可以采取多种形式,包括方波、正弦波、指数衰减正弦波、脉冲正弦波,等等。
本文所采用的同时激励是指至少一个激励在同一时间段(例如,可以包括一个或多个任意形状的脉冲及任意组合的窗口)期间被施加到至少两个线。换言之,同时激励涉及至少两个线,该至少两个线具有至少在时间上部分重叠的激励窗口。例如,在图12B中,由定时信号1201a定义的行A的激励窗口可以与由定时信号1201b定义的行B的激励窗口在同一时间开始、延伸相同持续时间、并且在同一时间结束。另选地,如图12C所例示的,行A的激励窗口(由定时信号1201a定义)和行B的激励窗口(由定时信号1201b定义)可以在不同时间开始和结束,但是具有至少一些重叠部分。再另选地,如图12D所示,行A的激励窗口(由定时信号1201a定义)和行B的激励窗口(由定时信号1201b定义)可以在同一时间开始但是在不同时间结束。又另选地,如图12E所例示的,行A的激励窗口(由定时信号1201a定义)和行B的激励窗口(由定时信号1201b定义)在不同时间开始但是在同一时间结束。这些不同配置还可以扩展到大于两个的行数并且具有完全的灵活性,只要在至少一些行之间存在一些激励重叠。
本文所描述的原理可用于设计各种电子设备和计算机系统的输入设备。这些电子设备和计算机系统可以是图10中所例示的各种类型中的任一种,包括台式计算机1001、笔记本计算机1002、书写板计算机1003、手持计算机1004、个人数字助理1005、媒体播放器1006、移动电话1007等。另外地,电子设备和计算机系统可以是这些类型的组合,例如,作为个人数字助理、媒体播放器以及移动电话的组合的设备。
对上述实施例的其他改变、变换以及组合也是可以的。例如,可以基于红外/光学感测配置来设计多重触摸和接近系统,该红外/光学感测配置依赖于周期性波形激励和来自手部位或其他触摸物体的反射来检测触摸和/或悬停事件。尽管参照电容性系统描述了本发明的原理,但是本发明的原理可同样适用于其中触摸或接近感测取决于从周期性激励波形提取出的信息的任何系统。因此下面的权利要求旨在被解释为包括对以上描述的所有改变、变换、组合以及等同物。

Claims (17)

1.一种触摸感测设备,包括:
基于互电容的触摸敏感表面,该触摸敏感表面包括多个感测点,每个感测点与多个驱动线中的一个和多个感测线中的一个相关联;
驱动电路,该驱动电路在一时间段期间将驱动信号同时施加到所述多个驱动线中的两个,其中,所述驱动信号具有不同的频率;
感测电路,该感测电路检测在至少一个感测线中的感测信号,所述感测信号通过一个或多个物体与和所述感测线相关的一个或多个感测点的触摸或接近而与驱动信号相关,以及该感测电路从所述感测信号得到所述一个或多个感测点的触摸信息,其中所述感测电路包括一个或多个解调电路,用于从感测信号分离所述不同的频率。
2.根据权利要求1所述的触摸感测设备,其中,所述感测电路包括至少一个微控制器。
3.根据权利要求2所述的触摸感测设备,其中,所述至少一个微控制器是专用集成电路(ASIC)。
4.根据权利要求2所述的触摸感测设备,其中,所述至少一个微控制器是数字信号处理器(DSP)。
5.根据权利要求2所述的触摸感测设备,其中,所述感测电路通过在时间上积分所述感测信号而从所述感测信号得到多个值。
6.根据权利要求1所述的触摸感测设备,其中,所述感测电路通过从所述感测信号得到多个值并且从所述多个值的数学组合得到触摸信息,来从所述感测信号得到触摸信息。
7.根据权利要求1所述的触摸感测设备,其中,所述触摸信息包括在每个感测点处的触摸值阵列。
8.根据权利要求7所述的触摸感测设备,其中,所述触摸值对应于在每个感测点处的电容测量结果。
9.根据权利要求1所述的触摸感测设备,其中,所述触摸敏感表面是触摸屏的一部分。
10.一种电子设备,该电子设备具有根据权利要求1、5或6中的任一项所述的触摸感测设备作为输入设备。
11.根据权利要求10所述的电子设备,其中,该电子设备是台式计算机、书写板计算机以及笔记本计算机之一。
12.根据权利要求10所述的电子设备,其中,所述电子设备包括手持计算机、个人数字助理、媒体播放器以及移动电话中的至少一个。
13.一种移动电话,该移动电话具有根据权利要求1、5或6中任一项所述的触摸感测设备作为输入设备。
14.一种用于驱动具有多个导电线的基于互电容的触摸敏感模块的方法,该方法包括:
在一时间段期间利用驱动信号同时激励所述多个导电线中的两个,其中所述驱动信号具有不同的频率;
感测在所述多个导电线的至少一个上的至少一个感测信号,其中所述感测信号与在所述多个导电线附近的至少一个物体的接触或接近事件相关;
从感测信号分离所述不同的频率;以及
从所述感测信号得到触摸信息。
15.根据权利要求14所述的方法,其中,从所述感测信号得到触摸信息包括:
从所述感测信号得到多个值;以及
从所述多个值的数学组合得到触摸信息。
16.根据权利要求15所述的方法,其中,从所述感测信号得到多个值包括在时间上积分所述感测信号。
17.根据权利要求14所述的方法,其中,所述触摸信息包括在多个感测点中的每一个感测点处的触摸值阵列,每一个感测点与所述多个导电线中的至少一个驱动线和所述多个导电线中的至少一个感测线相关联。
