Description

用于编排一个设备的用户接口
本发明涉及在屏显示产生领域，用于包含VCRs的电视接收器的编排或预定系统，及用于其他定时操作的电器和设备。就电视系统而言，本发明主要参照一数字卫星电视系统进行描述，但该发明同样可应用于这样一些系统，诸如一电缆系统，一地面广播系统，或一采用电话线的通信系统。就其他家用电器而言，屏幕显示的作用使得对车库大门开门器，温度自动调节器，及电灯的控制成为可视。
众所周知许多人在为接收记录一特别需要的电视节目而编排他们的电视接收机预定器和VCRs时遇到很大困难。消费者电子工业在过去的几年试图用各种方法改进这一问题，取得了不同程度的成功。
特别地，感到，典型的文本式编排屏幕可能适合于计算机编程人员和工程人员使用，但可能对非技术类消费者就显得可怕了。已知用户用带有拇指轮式数据条目的遥控器填入编排预定的空白项，但这要求用户需根据穿过房间的在电视屏幕特别位置的数据出现来处理遥控器上的拇指轮旋转动作。对于一些用户，这项工作好象不可能做好。最近的改善是可以根据当前播放或即将播放的电视演出的一模型的一图象屏幕显示做到″点和切换″选择，但它缺少某种反馈以确信用户全部正确编排。简而言之，用户还不能轻松完成编排过程，也许，是因为电子设备采用了一种粗笨的不熟悉的方式与他们交流。

初看，上述的电视节目选择过程显得十分容易简单。然而，如果用户不慎加亮了错误的节目框，就会记录一不需要的节目。这种错误发生的可能性并不牵强，  特别是当一些节目重复在一天或几天的不同时间出现时(如图示节目STAR TREK：VOYAGER在所指导的频道113上晚间8：30分第二次出现)。因此，用户可能会选择了合适的名称而可能不慎选择了节目发生的违愿日期和时间。

在本发明的第二个实施例中，图3所示，确认句子是交流式，意味着用户可以更改句子以改变它的含义，并因此改变编排指令。电视屏300上显示的是一确认句子310。填充在确认句子中的数据也许来自类似图1的显示，或通过标准定时记录屏幕显示方式输入的，如图5所示。
句子310中被园角矩形框起的项例如，项320，345，360，375和387，都是软按钮，如果被选中就会切换到一不同功能或标签。例如，项320是一动词，可在RECORD和WATCH间切换，通过图4微处理器415R对包含合适词ROM的某部分的访问完成。项345和360是一天的时间更改，可在AM和PM间切换。项375时间周期指示，利用软箭头键370可递增或递减。时间周期指示375可显示单独的月份，星期，或如是有用的，和用户友好条目如，今天，今晚，明天，或明晚。项387是一形容词短语，可随用户选择更改磁带速度，在SLP(超长运转)，LP(较长运转)，和SP(标准运转)之间变换。

如果用户认可新变更的确认句子正确表达了他的编排意图，那么他可用光标键加亮接近屏幕300底部处的RUN TIMER″软按钮″(或″软建″)390，并按下遥控器的SELECT键以接受编排指令。可是，如果，确认句子没能正确表达他的编排意图，那么他可以继续编辑上述的句子，或他可用光标键加亮接近屏幕300底部处的CLEAR TIMER″软按钮″395，并接着按下遥控器的SELECT键以返回图1屏幕显示。
如上提示，本隶属装置控制器为形成上述交谈式或确认句子所用的频道指导数据可从一卫星电视通信系统接收。图4示出了这样一个卫星电视通信系统，该系统中的卫星400S接收从地面发送器400T来的代表音频，视频，或数据信息的信号。该卫星放大并重播该信号，经工作在指定频率和给定带宽的异频雷达收发器送给安装在消费者住所的多种接收器400R。该系统包括一上行发送部分(地对卫星)，一环地卫星接收和发送单元，一含有用户住所处的接收器的下行部分(卫星对地)。
在该卫星系统中，要选择一给定电视节目所需的信息没有被固定编排进每个接收器，而是由卫星连续向下装载到每个异频雷达收发器上。该电视节目选择信息包括一套已知的一主要节目指导(MPG)，它涉及电视节目名称，节目的开始和结束时间，要显示给用户的虚拟频道号码，及分配给虚拟频道的异频雷达收发器频率和由特别异频雷达收发器传送的时分复用数据流中的位置的信息。在该系统中，直到接收到卫星来的第一个主要节目指导时才能调谐任何频道，因为接收器(IRD，或集成接收器解码器)从字面上不可能知道哪个频道位于哪，依据任何异频雷达收发器的数据流中的频率和位置(即，数据时隙)。
主要节目指导优先在带有电视节目视频和音频数据的所有异频雷达收发器传送，并周期重发，例如，每2秒。主要节目指导一旦被接收到，就被保存在接收器的内存单元，并被周期刷新，例如每30分钟。保持主要节目指导使得瞬时电视节目选择成为可能，因为必要的选择数据始终可以获得。如果用主要节目指导选择完电视节目后想去掉，那么至少有2秒迟延同时获得一新的节目指导，在执行任何进一步的电视节目选择之前。
一旦携带所需电视节目的异频雷达收发器频道被调谐，含有音频和视频信息的数据包用于从接收到的异频雷达收发器来的数据流中选择该节目，通过检查适合SCID(业务元识别)12比特代码的数据包。如果当前接收的数据包的SCID与节目指导中列出的所需电视节目一致，那么数据包被选路到接收器的合适的数据处理部分。如果特别包的SCID与电视指导中列出的所需电视节目的SCID不一致，那么该数据包被丢弃。
现在接着的是适于完成上述发明的系统硬件的一简要描述。在图4中，发送器400T处理信号源401(例如，一电视信号源)来的数据信号并将该信号传送给一卫星400S，该卫星接收并重播该信号给一接收天线400A，该天线将该信号送一接收器400R。发送器400T包括一编码器410T，一调制器(即，调制器/前向错误校正(FEC))420T，以及一上行单元430T。编码器410T按照象MPEG一样的预定标准压缩并编码信号源401来的信号。MPEG是由国际标准化组织移动图象专家组制定的一国际标准，针对移动图象和存于数字存储介质上的相关音频的编码表示法。一编码信号由单元410T提供给调制器/前向错误校正器(FEC)420T，420T用错误校正数据编码该信号，并1/4键相调制法(QPSK)调制去往载体的编码信号。
压缩编码的信号由上行单元430T传送给卫星400S，400S将该信号广播给所选地理接收区。一天线盘400A接收到卫星400S送出的信号，400A与  所谓的顶部接收器400R(即，位于电视接收器顶部的一接口设备)的一输入口耦合。接收器400R有一解调器(解调器/前向错误校正(FEC)解码器)410R可解调该信号并可解码错误校正数据，一IR接收器412用于接收IR遥控命令，一微处理器415R用于与解调器/FEC单元410R交互工作，一运输单元420R用于根据该信号内容，即音频还是视频信息，运送该信号给单元400R中适当的解码器430R。一NTSC编码器440R编码已解码信号为适于标准NTSC消费者VCR402和标准NTSC消费者电视接收器403中的信号处理电路采用的格式。微处理器(或微控制器，或微计算器)415R接收遥控器450R来的红外(IR)控制信号，并经一IR链路418R将控制信息送给VCR402。微处理器415R也可产生表示给用户的交流句子，或确认句子所需的在屏显示(OSD)信号。微处理器415R亦接收和解释光标键X和Y信息以控制在屏显示中的用户选择的加亮部分。
图5是一标准VCR定时屏幕显示的例证，其中的频道号码，开始时间，结束时间，和日期是用户用遥控器的按键输入的。在该系统中，图2的确认句子，和图3的交流句子还可用但名称信息不会出现。要注意星期几的信息可以一已知形式和所显示方式从完整日期中提取，如需要的话。
可看到本发明教义能应用于其他设备的控制而不只是电视相关的。考虑到这点，图6所示是一交谈式句子用于控制一自动温度调节器。可看到软按钮620可″按″用以改变要控制的设备。例如，利用图6的交谈式句子，可控制在某个时间打开车库大门，可控制草坪喷洒器喷洒草坪，可控制灯的开或关。以同样的方法图4的交谈式句子的控制参数(即，语言的可变更部分)也是可更改的，图6的温度参数630可用软箭头键625设定或直接输入设备。
图7所示是用于控制代表性的设备的装置，其中的各项具有跟图4类似的参照号码，提供同样功能的服务并无需重述。IRD单元700R有一APPLIANCE LINKCONTROLLER 745R用于为经传送链路755的传送，以适当格式编码电器控制命令。传送链路可以是硬线总线的任意一个，一IR链路(即，一红外传送路径)，或一在房子AC线上传送的FM信号，或其他合适传送的链路。单元760，770，和780中每一个都有适当的解码电路以使每一个都能接收它的特别控制信号，并执行它自己的功能。这样的电路已为本领域公知，例如US专利4,386,431，名称为电视遥控系统用于通过交流线选择性控制多种外部装置(Kogher，etal)，1983年5月31日发行，以及US专利4,392,822，名称为电视遥控系统用于选择性控制多种外部装置(Carlxon)，1983年7月5日发行。

Claims (10)

1.一种用于对设备(760，770，780)的操作进行控制的编排装置，包括：
编排单元(750R，718R)，用于输入表示编排变量的数据，以便预定设备在将来的操作；
控制单元(715R)，用于产生适于显示一屏幕显示的信号，所述屏幕显示以一基本上语法正确的句子格式示出所述预定操作的编排指令，所述句子包括各种语言部分，表示所述编排指令中的所述编排变量，所述屏幕显示还示出可选图标；
更改单元，用于响应对所述可选图标之一的选择，更改所说的基本上语法正确的句子的各种语言部分的某些部分以改变所述编排变量。
2.如权利要求1所述的编排装置，其特征在于，
所述编排单元(450R，412R)预定选择将来的电视事件；所述控制单元(415R)产生适于显示所述屏幕显示的信号，所述屏幕显示以一基本上语法正确的句子格式示出所述预定电视事件的编排指令，所述句子包括各种语言部分，表示所述编排指令中的所述编排变量，所述屏幕显示还示出可选图标。
3.如权利要求2所述的编排装置，还包括：
输入单元(410R，420R)，用于接收多个电视信号；
电视信号选择单元，用于从所述多个电视信号中选择特定的电视信号；和
在屏显示单元，用于显示所述屏幕显示；
在所说的控制装置控制下工作；用于显示表示将来预定选择的所说的电视事件的数据；
其中所述控制单元(415R)响应所述编排变量而控制所述选择单元。
4.如权利要求2所述的编排装置，其特征在于，
所述电视系统是卫星电视接收机，所述电视预定数据由卫星电视服务提供商提供，所述控制单元显示按照所述电视预定数据产生的频道指导显示，所述编排单元按照从所述频道指导显示中选择的电视事件输入预定数据。
5.如权利要求2所述的编排装置，其特征在于，
所述编排变量包括频道指定、日期、时间、电视剧名称、记录频度和预定行为的其中至少一个。
6.如权利要求2所述的编排装置，其特征在于，
所述电视系统是广播电视接收机，所述电视预定数据是在给定电视节目的垂直间隔期间在某些电视行提供的，所述控制单元显示按照所述电视预定数据产生的频道指导显示，所述编排单元按照从所述频道指导显示中选择的电视事件输入预定数据。
7.如权利要求6所述的编排装置，其特征在于，
所述编排变量包括频道指定、日期、时间、电视剧名称、记录频度和预定行为的其中至少一个。
8.如权利要求2所述的编排装置，其特征在于，
所述屏幕显示是确认屏幕显示。
9.如权利要求2所述的编排装置，其特征在于，
所述可选图标邻近所述相应编排变量显示。
