Abstract

Description
发明背景
面巾和浴巾等吸水织物用来吸收身体上的液体,使皮肤干燥。然而,吸水织物除了吸收液体之外,也会摩擦皮肤。尤其是若经常擦鼻子,皮肤会由于磨擦变红,触摸时会感到疼痛。为了减少织物对皮肤的摩擦,可向织物上施用织物添加组合物,这样在使用时,添加组合物就可润滑织物,使其在皮肤表面滑动,或脱离织物附着于皮肤表面。
迄今为止,这些组合物在室温下均为液体或半固体,以使其易于附着在织物表面。为了有效地减少织物对皮肤的刺激和皮肤变红的现象,必须有足够的此类液体附着在织物表面,这就需要使用大量的液体,因为这些液体易于吸收至织物内部,而存留于织物表面能发挥作用的液体则较少。
因而,这样一种添加组合物就很有必要:将其施用于织物之上,它将很容易转移到使用者的皮肤上,以有效的成本-效用方式减少织物对皮肤的刺激和皮肤变红的现象。
发明概述
现已发现,可采用如下方法制造高级柔软织物:向织物表面施用大量熔化的加湿/保护性组合物的分散附着物,该组合物包括蜡和油,随后,该组合物重新固化,以使织物表面有一层固体附着物分布,优选附着物均匀分布。因为该组合物在室温下为固体,并且附着后迅速固化,因此不易渗透转移至织物内部。同液体组合物处理的织物相比,这种方法使更多的添加组合物附着在织物表面,因而能够与使用者的皮肤接触并转移至皮肤上而起作用。并且,可使用较少的添加量获得同样的效果,从而降低费用,因为组合物的有效加入基本上是在织物表面上。
因此,本发明一方面涉及到单层或多层的织物产品,该产品的一个或两个外表面均匀涂布有一种组合物的固化附着物,该组合物包括:以重量计大约30-90%的油、以重量计大约10-40%的蜡,优选还包括以重量计大约5-40%的脂肪醇,该组合物熔点为大约30-70℃,更具体而言为大约40-60℃。在此处,“熔点”是指大部分成分发生熔化的温度。人们已认识到,熔化实际上发生在一个温度范围之内。
另一方面,本发明涉及到一种制造柔软织物的方法,该方法包括:(a)将组合物加温至其熔点以上,使其熔化,该组合物包括油、蜡,优选还包括脂肪醇,其熔点为大约30到70℃;(b)向织物网格的一面或两面均匀施用熔化的组合物,使其附着物在空间上分开;及(c)使熔化的组合物的附着物重新固化。如果将该组合物加温至仅稍微高于其熔点或刚到其熔点,则附着物重新固化几乎可即时完成,而无需冷却滚筒等外加冷却方法。然而,如果欲加速重新固化过程,则施用熔化组合物前后均可使用冷却滚筒等外加冷却方法。这种即时重新固化会阻止组合物渗入织物内部,使其保留在织物表面,这是有利的。例如,熔化组合物的温度高于熔点大约10℃或10℃以下比较有利,更具体而言,高过大约5℃或5℃以下,更加具体而言,高过大约2℃或2℃以下。当熔化组合物的温度接近其熔点时,熔化组合物的粘度通常增加。这更进一步促使熔化的组合物易于保留在织物表面。
组合物中油的含量为以重量计大约30-90%,更具体而言为以重量计大约40-70%,更加具体而言为以重量计大约45-60%。合适的油包括但不限于以下种类的油:矿物油或凡士林等石油或矿物油;貂油和羊毛脂油等动物油;芦荟提取物、向日葵油和鳄梨油等植物油;二甲聚硅氧烷和烷基甲基硅氧烷等硅油。
组合物中蜡的含量为以重量计大约10-40%,更具体而言为以重量计大约10-30%,更加具体而言为以重量计大约15-25%。合适的蜡包括但不限于以下种类的蜡:蜂蜡和巴西棕榈蜡等天然蜡;石蜡和纯地蜡等石油蜡;烷基甲基硅氧烷等硅酮蜡;或合成蜂蜡和合成鲸蜡等合成蜡。
若向组合物中加入脂肪醇,则其含量为以重量计大约5-40%,更具体而言为以重量计大约10-30%,更加具体而言为以重量计大约15-25%。合适的脂肪醇包括碳链长度为C14-C30的醇类,包括十六烷醇、十八烷醇、二十二烷醇和十二烷醇。
为了使用时有更好的效果,可加入其他成分。可加入的成分及其功能包括但不限于C10或更大的脂肪醇(润滑、稠度、浑浊度);脂肪酯(润滑、改进了的触感);维生素(当前对健康有益);二甲基聚硅氧烷(保护皮肤);粉末(润滑、吸油、保护皮肤);防腐剂及抗氧化剂(织物产品的完善性);乙氧基脂肪醇(湿润、加工剂);香料(消费者的要求);羊毛脂衍生物(皮肤加湿),染料,明眼剂,防晒剂,α-羟基酸,天然草本植物提取物及类似成分。
织物中加入的组合物的量为占织物重量的大约1-40%,更具体而言为占织物重量的大约5-25%,更加具体而言为占织物重量的大约10-15%。加入的量取决于向织物中加入组合物欲达到的效果和特定的组合物。均匀施用加热的组合物于织物网格表面的优选方法为轮转凹版印刷(rotogravure printing),直接或间接(胶印)都行,因为这种方法是最精确的印刷方法,能够最佳地控制组合物的分布和转移速度。但是,也可使用其他印刷方法,如苯胺印刷。
组合物覆盖的表面积优选均匀覆盖几乎所有的织物表面,但织物产品的表面只有部分被覆盖。这是通过大量彼此分开的小附着物而做到的,肉眼看起来似乎是覆盖了整个表面,但实际上不是。附着物实际覆盖的表面积可从大约30%到大约99%,更具体而言是大约50-80%。(“表面积”是指织物的简单平面面积,未考虑织物的三维外构形状,若考虑三维形状则会增加任何给定织物样品的表面积值)。通过提供大量非常小的附着物,可以更容易地控制组合物的渗入,使组合物基本上滞留于织物表面或接近织物表面。这种情况下采用轮转凹版印刷(gravure printing)较为理想,因为这种方法可以使每英寸距离的表面分布有大约10到1000个附着物,或每平方英寸大约100到1,000,000个附着物。这包括几种有名的镌版印刷方法(engraving technique),如机械镌版印刷、酸蚀镌版印刷、电子镌版印刷和陶磁(ceramic)激光镌版印刷。合适的电子镌版印刷的实例为每英寸距离的表面大约250个附着物,或每平方英寸大约62500个附着物。通过提供数量如此巨大的小附着物,附着物分布的均匀度非常高。均匀度可通过图像分析进行定量,这种方法以下将要述及。优选的均匀度为差异百分率大约15%或更低,更具体而言为大约10%或更低,更加具体而言为大约5-15%。由于大量的小附着物施用于织物的表面,附着物很容易在织物表面重新固化,这样能够最有效地让使用者受益。因而,相对少量的组合物可用来覆盖较大的区域。
在某些实施方案中,本发明的产品的特征为其疏水性,这样有助于防止使用时使用者的手湿透。这种特性可以浸透时间(Sink Time)客观地衡量,这种方法见于1990年8月21日公开的Walter等的美国专利第4950545号,该专利名称为“多功能面巾”,此处引用该专利以供参考。浸透时间可为大约30秒或更长,更具体而言为大约40秒或更长,更加具体而言为大约50到150秒或更长。这样的浸透时间可通过一种因素显著地增加3-5倍,即将本发明的处理织物加温至大约100-150°F。热处理过的织物的浸透时间可为大约150秒或更长。
本发明的织物产品可为单层、双层、三层或多层。在各种情况下组合物均施用于产品的外表面。组合物在织物各层叠加前后施用都可以。各层可以层叠或混放(同类)、弄皱或不弄皱、干透或湿压。令人惊奇的是,我们发现混放织物基层同层叠织物基层效果一样,因此层叠是不必要的。

参考图1,可以更详细地说明本发明的一个方面。图中示出一织物层1接近Yankee干燥机2,由干燥机出来成为皱片3。干燥的皱的织物层4传递到加热轮转凹版印刷机,该印刷机包括支撑滚筒(backingroll)6和压花滚筒(engraved roll)7,在此处熔化的组合物被施用于织物层的一面。处理过的织物层卷到滚筒8上供后续处理过程之用。
在印刷过程中,施用于织物层上的熔化的组合物由一加热供给箱10供给,由合适的计量泵送到加热的刮墨刀操作头(doctor applicationhead)11。在整个过程中必须保持恒温,因而熔化的组合物在供给箱和操作头间连续循环,而在储存器中保持合适的量。加热的刮墨刀操作头向压花滚筒供应熔化的组合物。压花滚筒的表面有多个小室,它们具有获得理想效果所需的转移容量。如实例中,合适的压花滚筒有一个每英寸距离250线的线条网屏(line screen),其容积为每平方英寸滚动面50亿立方微米(BCM)。该滚筒上的典型小室的尺寸为长150微米,宽110微米,深30微米。
操作过程中,压花滚筒安装于支撑滚筒上,以迫使织物网或层与压花滚筒接触。支撑滚筒可使用适合印刷过程的任何材料,如天然橡胶、合成橡胶或其他有伸缩性的表面。负载压力可为大约5-50pli(滚筒与滚筒间过盈)到压花滚筒/支撑滚筒的间距为0.008″(滚筒间不接触)。
图2与图1类似,不同之处仅在于欲以熔化的组合物印刷的织物层由动力滚筒15供给。这幅图是为了说明离线印刷过程,其中印刷过程同织物层的生产过程是分开的。以熔化的组合物印刷的织物层17可以是单层或多层,处理后的织物层随即卷到滚筒16上供后续处理过程之用。

图4表示对织物层进行两面印刷,织物的一面采用胶印加热轮转凹版印刷方法,另一面采用直接加热轮转凹版印刷方法。采用该方法,压花滚筒7和支撑滚筒6(现在亦同时为胶印操作滚筒)可如同前述方法中所用的滚筒。然而,第二压花滚筒20需要不同的液体输送特性,因而镌版印刷过程稍有不同。例如,对这些滚筒来说,直接镌版规格为250线条网屏,5.0 BCM。这种滚筒上典型的小室尺寸为长150微米,宽110微米,深30微米。胶印镌版规格为250线条网屏,4.0BCM,长140微米,宽110微米,深25微米。

图7A和7B为本发明的三层面巾(7A)和PUFFSPlus面巾(7B)的表面图,后者为可由市场购得的洗液处理的织物。两种织物均以四氧化锇(OsO4)蒸气处理,以使半透明的/白色洗液在织物的白浆纤维背景下可见。四氧化锇可与碳双键反应,与碳形成锇金属复合物。这都可稳定或“固定”处理的材料并将材料染黑,这样较易产生对比。
四氧化锇处理过程如下:将织物松散地放置于玻璃钟形瓶中,该瓶开口为直径12-16英寸,深12英寸。务必小心勿使织物堆积,堆积会阻止蒸气充分地透入所有织物。使用的四氧化锇为封闭的玻璃安瓿中盛装的结晶体。将安瓿打破,置于放置织物的钟形瓶上。其顶部置于钟形瓶上形成不透气的密封垫。织物置于钟形瓶中24到48小时。四氧化锇具有较高的蒸气压,很容易升华为充满钟形瓶的气体。染色过程完成后,打开钟形瓶,样品进一步处理前置于通风处12-24小时,以释放出残留的未反应蒸气。注意:使用四氧化锇时操作务必极度小心。四氧化锇为强氧化剂,毒性很大,使用该物质的所有步骤均需在通风橱内操作,并须有适当的空气流动。
四氧化锇处理之后,将织物置于显微镜下观察,放大倍数为7.5×,采用交叉偏振光源。如图所示,本发明的织物覆盖得更为均匀,这一结果也可对染色的织物进行灰色均化组织图(gray-level histogram)分析以证实之。本发明的织物的平均差异百分率(COV)为10.6。而PUFFSPlus织物的平均差异百分率为22.6,这表明本发明的织物覆盖差异性显著降低了。
为了测量差异百分率,锇处理的织物层在全向暗场光下进行观察,光源为8支灯泡的八角形环状照明器,该照明器环绕着50毫米EL-Nikkor镜头,镜头连接于10毫米C-框架延伸管(C-mount extentiontube)中。通过硒化镉视像管扫描器将其输入Quantimet 970影像分析系统(Image Analysis System,Leica,Deerfield,IL)中。视野大小(标准有效帧象,standard live frame)为2.77厘米×2.17厘米。锇处理的织物的几个不同区域均置于镜头下,使用黑光帘(black photodrape)背景进行测量。共测量了六个区域。扫描器白色均化值通常设定为1.00伏。最后,打印出组织图,其标准偏差除以平均灰色均化值得到差异率,乘以100,即得差异百分率。
参考图8和9(本发明)和图10(PUFFSPlus),三种四氧化锇染色的织物顺机器方向横切。每一种织物的六个代表性部分(A-F)放大约200倍后照相,以显示组合物颗粒渗入程度的差别和本发明的方法显著提高处理组合物滞留于被处理织物层表面的能力。如图所示,PUFFSPlus的截面图显示处理部分是零散、不均匀的,更多情况下完全穿透织物。相比之下,本发明的织物将更多的处理组合物滞留于处理层的上表面。
本发明的方法使组合物基本滞留于织物表面的能力由影像分析来定量地确定。更确切地讲,该分析中的图像和光学情况与上述均匀度测量中相同。但这种情形下,织物各层的上表面和下表面紧挨着放置,使两层之间无缝隙平接。例如,样品置于镜头下时,较亮的下表面置于影像画面的右方,而较暗的上表面置于影像画面的左方。
若首先测量较亮的下表面灰色-均化组织图,可调的有效帧象置于影像画面那一区域的正上方,整个视野的扫描器白色均化值设定为1.00伏,然后转动样品,让较亮的下表面位于左方。扫描器再设定为1.00伏,该表面再以可调的有效帧象分隔开来,该数值累计入灰色-均化组织图。下表面的平均灰色均化值GLBOTTOM被记录下来。
对较暗的上表面也以同样步骤测量,该上表面占据影像的另一半,同样整个影像的扫描器白色均化值设定为1.00伏(这样有助于弥补加入织物中的组合物量的总体差异,不论组合物是在上表面还是在下表面,回零均更为精确,上述情况反映了渗入的程度。)同样,上表面的平均灰色均化值GLTOP亦被记录下来。
最后,两组平均灰色均化值的差值GLDIFF根据下式计算,该值与渗入程度负相关。

应注意若GLDIFF为零或负值,则为完全透过。若GLDIFF为较高的正数值,则大多数锇染色的组合物保留于织物的上表面。

实施例实施例1

所得组合物施用于湿压的三层织物基层(基本重量为每2880平方英尺大约23磅)的两个表面,施用过程按图4所述采用加热轮转凹版印刷方法进行,加入量为占总重量的16%。更精确一些,组合物在不锈钢加热供给箱中于大约56℃预先融化。印刷供应系统和印刷部分(供应软管、刮墨刀操作头、和轮转凹版印刷滚筒)预热至大约55℃。组合物由加热操作头转移至加热直接和胶印轮转凹版印刷滚筒。
轮转凹版印刷滚筒为电子镌刻,铜滚筒上覆盖的铬合金由KY.Louisville的Southern Graphics Systems提供。直接轮转凹版印刷滚筒有一每英寸距离200个小室的线条网屏,其容积为每平方英寸滚筒表面6.0BCM。该滚筒上典型的小室尺寸为长180微米,宽145微米,深34微米。胶印轮转凹版印刷滚筒为250线条网筛,5.0BCM,长150微米,宽110微米,深30微米。橡胶支撑滚筒/胶印操作滚筒为72 Shore A硬度计Flex Touch 1,由MI.,Three Rivers的Republic Roller提供。
直接轮转凹版印刷滚筒设定为距橡胶支撑滚筒0.003英寸。胶印轮转凹版印刷滚筒设定为印刷滚筒和橡胶支撑滚筒间有0.375英寸过盈。加热直接轮转凹版印刷机和加热胶印轮转凹版印刷机联合体的运行速度为每分钟750英寸。组合物附着物离开印刷机后基本上即时固化。
当织物切成为单独的面巾时,所得的产品从柔软性、厚度、吸水性及总体上来讲都较PUFFS Plus面巾更为消费者所喜爱。实施例2
一种保护皮肤的组合物包括以下组分,其熔点为大约56-60℃,制备方法类似于实施例1:
重量百分比1.矿物油 59.02.氧化锌 1.03.纯地蜡(熔点64-67℃) 20.04. Cetearyl醇 20.0
将上述组合物按上述方法施用于单层未弄皱的干浴巾的两面,加入量为占总重量的15%,所得织物手感有所提高,从总体上讲较CharminPlus浴巾更受喜爱。实施例3
一种皮肤保湿/保护组合物,其熔点为大约61℃,由下述组分按例1的方法制备:
重量百分比1.二甲基硅氧烷 2.02.棕榈酸异丙酯 4.03. Acetulan 5.04.矿物油 45.05.乙酸维生素E酯 2.06.芦荟提取物 2.07.纯地蜡(熔点66-71℃) 20.08.二十二烷醇 20.0
*乙酸十六烷酯和乙酰羊毛酯醇,Amerchol Corp.
上述组合物按实施例1的方法施用于双层面巾的两面,加入量为占总重量的26%。实施例4
按实施例3的方法制得一种三层面巾,不同之处在于加入组合物的量为占两个外层重量的18%。实施例5
按照实施例4的方法制得一种面巾,不同之处在于加入组合物的量为占两个外层重量的22%。
根据使用者试用结果,实施例3,4和5从柔软性、厚度、吸水性和总体上来讲均较PUFFSPlus更受喜爱。实施例6
为了进行比较,按上述方法制得处理的织物,但所用组合物没有可吸引使用者的成分,确切地讲,一种这类组合物由下述组分制得:
重量百分比1.二甲聚硅氧烷和 5.0二甲聚硅氧烷醛(Dimethiconal)2.二甲聚硅氧烷 20厘沲 15.03.棕榈酸异丙酯 3.04.新戊酸异癸酯 20.05. Acetulan 7.06.矿物油 25.07.单羟基硬脂酸甘油酯 15.08.十六烷醇 10.0
该组合物以上述方法施用于双层面巾上,加入量为占总重量的14%。
另一种同类组合物由下述组分制得:
重量百分比1.二甲聚硅氧烷 20厘沲 2.02.棕榈酸异丙酯 4.03. Acetulan 5.04.矿物油 34.05. Ceteareth-20 35.06.十六烷醇 20.0
该组合物以约占总重量31%的量加入双层织物。
上述两种产品同实施例3、4和5中的产品一样,让消费者与PUFFSTM Plus(对照)同时试用,以让其参考比较。这两例中,PUFFSPlus均更得好评。这两种试用组合物均缺少蜡(选自前述组合物中所列)。人们相信,缺少蜡会降低油保留于织物表面或接近表面的能力,因而无法获得优选的效果。
应予注意的是给出前述实施例是为了进行说明,而不应被理解为限制本发明的范围,本发明的范围由以下权利要求和所有同义表述限定。
Claims (39)
1.一种单层或多层的柔软织物产品,其中一个或两个外表面均匀涂布有固化的附着物,该附着物中包括一种组合物,该组合物包括以重量计大约30%到90%的油和以重量计大约10%到40%的蜡,该组合物的熔点为大约30℃-70℃。
2.权利要求1的织物产品,其中组合物的熔点为大约40-60℃。
3.权利要求1的织物产品,其中组合物还包括以重量计大约5-40%的脂肪醇。
4.权利要求3的织物产品,其中脂肪醇选自十六烷醇,十八烷醇,二十二烷醇和十二烷醇。
5.权利要求3的织物产品,其中脂肪醇为二十二烷醇。
6.权利要求3的织物产品,其中脂肪醇为Cetearyl醇。
7.权利要求1的织物产品,其中还包括以重量计大约10%-30%的脂肪醇。
8.权利要求1的织物产品,其中还包括以重量计大约15%-25%的脂肪醇。
9.权利要求1的织物产品,其中组合物中油的含量为以重量计大约40%-70%。
10.权利要求1的织物产品,其中组合物中油的含量为以重量计大约45%-60%。
11.权利要求1的织物产品,其中的油选自矿物油、动物油、植物油和硅油。
12.权利要求1的织物产品,其中的油为矿物油。
13.权利要求1的织物产品,其中组合物中蜡的含量为以重量计大约10%-30%。
14.权利要求1的织物产品,其中组合物中蜡的含量为以重量计大约15%-25%。
15.权利要求1的织物产品,其中的蜡选自天然蜡、石油蜡、硅酮蜡和合成蜡。
16.权利要求1的织物产品,其中的蜡为纯地蜡。
17.权利要求1的织物产品,其中组合物的量为占织物重量的大约1%-40%。
18.权利要求1的织物产品,其中组合物的量为占织物重量的大约5%-25%。
19.权利要求1的织物产品,其中组合物的量为占织物重量的大约10%-15%。
20.权利要求1的织物产品,其中附着物实际覆盖的表面积为大约30%-99%。
21.权利要求1的织物产品,其中附着物实际覆盖的表面积为大约50%-80%。
22.权利要求1的织物产品,其中表面覆盖的均匀度,系以四氧化锇蒸气处理织物后再进行灰色-均化组织图(gray-level histogram)分析得以确定,该值以差异百分率计为大约15或更低。
23.权利要求22的织物产品,其中差异百分率为大约10或更低。
24.权利要求22的织物产品,其中差异百分率为大约5到15。
25.权利要求1的织物产品,其浸透时间(Sink Time)为大约20秒或更长。
26.权利要求1的织物产品,其浸透时间(Sink Time)为大约40秒或更长。
27.权利要求1的织物产品,其浸透时间(Sink Time)为大约50秒-150秒。
28.一种生产柔软织物产品的方法,包括:
(a)将组合物加温至其熔点以上,使其熔化,该组合物包括油、蜡,其熔点为大约30℃到70℃;
(b)向织物网格的一面或两面均匀施用熔化的组合物,使其附着物在空间上分开;
(c)使熔化的组合物附着物重新固化。
29.权利要求28的方法,其中加热的组合物系以转轮凹版印刷机施用于织物网格上,附着物密度为每平方英寸大约100到1,000,000个附着物。
30.权利要求29的方法,其中织物表面大约30%到99%的表面积覆盖有组合物。
31.权利要求29的方法,其中织物表面大约50%到80%的表面积覆盖有组合物。
32.权利要求28的方法,其中施用于织物的组合物的量为以重量计大约1%到40%。
33.权利要求28的方法,其中施用于织物的组合物的量为以重量计大约5%到25%。
34.权利要求28的方法,其中施用于织物的组合物的量为以重量计大约10%到15%。
35.权利要求28的方法,其中为了加速附着物的固化,可在覆盖组合物的附着物施用之前或之后,将织物网格冷却。
36.权利要求28的方法,其中组合物加温至高于其熔点大约10℃或10℃以下的温度。
37.权利要求28的方法,其中组合物加温至高于其熔点大约5℃或5℃以下的温度。
38.权利要求28的方法,其中组合物加温至高于其熔点大约2℃。
39.权利要求28的方法,其中组合物含有以重量计大约5%到40%的脂肪醇。
