Abstract

Description
本发明总的涉及控制系统,更特殊地,本发明涉及由一个输入装置,例如脚踏板,控制多个外科装置的接口装置。
很多种外科手术是用多种器械完成的。例如,某些腹腔镜手术通过加州Goleta的Computer Motion有限公司生产的支托和移动内窥镜的机械臂系统进行。外科大夫也可以使用激光器切除组织,用电烧灼装置烧灼组织。每种器械具有一个单独的控制板或脚踏板控制该装置。因此,外科大夫必须按动一个脚踏板移动机械臂和内窥镜,按动另一个脚踏板控制电烧灼装置,还需要控制另一个输入装置激励激光器。控制多个输入装置可能分散外科大夫的注意力,由此降低进行手术的效率和安全性。因此,希望提供一种使外科大夫能由单个输入装置选择和控制多个外科装置的接口装置。此外,还希望提供一种使外科大夫能由一个输入装置相互排斥地选择和控制多个外科装置的接口装置。
本发明提供一种把输入装置连接到第一外科装置和第二外科装置的接口装置,包括:
(a)一个连接到输入装置的第一输入通道;
(b)一个连接到第一外科装置的第一输出通道;
(c)一个连接到第二外科装置的第二输出通道;
(d)一个用于在第一输出通道和第二输出通道间转换第一输入通道的选择通道。
接口装置使外科大夫能由一个单独的输入装置控制多个外科装置。输入装置可以是提供多个用以控制不同外科装置的输出信号的脚踏板。外科装置包括机械臂系统,激光器,电烧灼装置或手术台。接口装置具有一个连接到输入装置的输入通道和多个连接到外科装置的输出通道。接口装置还具有一个选择通道,该通道可以接收输入指令并相应地在多个输出通道之间转换输入通道。选择通道可以连接到使外科大夫能用声音指令选择多个外科装置之一的语音接口装置。因此,外科大夫可以在提供一个输入指令或切换指令后操作一个专用装置,所述的输入或切换指令使输入通道切换到所要求的输出通道,并由此使输入装置与所要求的外科装置连接。

参照附图,更具体地通过标号,图1示出了按照本发明的外科系统10。系统10使外科大夫由单个输入装置20控制多个不同的外科装置12,14,16和18。提供一个单独的输入装置将降低控制不同装置的复杂性,并提高外科大夫进行外科手术的效率。
外科装置12是一个可以支托和移动外科器械的机械臂,它可以是由加州Goleta的Computer Motion股份有限公司以注册商标AESOP销售的装置。臂12通常用于在病人体内支托和移动内窥镜。本发明的系统使外科大夫能通过输入装置20控制机械臂12。
外科装置14是一个电烧灼装置。电烧灼装置典型地具有携带加热和使组织失去自然属性的电流的双极头。该装置典型地连接到一个ON-OFF开关上,以控制装置,并加热组织。电烧灼装置也可以接收控制信号,以改变其功率输出。本发明的系统10使外科大夫能通过输入装置20控制电烧灼装置。
外科装置16是一个激光器。激光器16可以通过ON-OFF开关控制,此外,还可以通过控制信号控制激光器16的功率。本发明的系统10使外科大夫可以通过输入装置20控制激光器16的操作。
装置18是一个手术台。它包括调节台的位置的电机和机构。本发明使外科大夫能通过输入装置20控制手术台18的位置。尽管只说明了四种外科装置12、14、16和18,应该理解,手术室内的其它功能也可以通过输入装置20控制。例如,系统10可以使外科大夫能通过输入装置20控制手术室内的照明和温度。
输入装置可以是一个由外科大夫按动的具有多个按钮22、24、26、28和30的脚踏板。每个按钮典型地与一个特定的外科装置的控制指令相连系。例如,当输入装置20控制机械臂12时,按下按钮22可以使所述的臂沿一个方向移动,而按下按钮26可以使所述的臂沿相反方向移动。同样,当电烧灼装置14或激光器16连接到输入装置20上时,按动按钮30可以激励上述装置,等等。虽然只示出和说明了脚踏板,应该明白,输入装置20可以是手动控制器,接受来自外科大夫的声音指令的语音接口装置,悬臂踏板或在外科装置控制领域公知的其它输入装置。
系统10具有一个把输入装置20连接到外科装置12,14,16和20的切换接口装置40。该装置具有一个通过总线44连接到输入装置20的输入通道42。接口装置40还具有多个通过总线54,56,58,60,94,96,98连接到外科装置的输出通道46,48,50和52,这些通道具有装在电子通讯线路上的且在其间的适配器或控制器。这些适配器和控制器将在下面更详细地讨论。
由于每个装置12,14,16和18为了正确的操作需要特定组成的控制信号,适配器90,92或控制器88可以居中地配置,并与专门的输出通道和特定的外科装置电气连接。在机械臂系统12的情况下,无需适配器,这样,机械臂系统12可以直接与专用的输出通道连接。接口装置40把输入通道42连接到输出通道46,48,50和52中的一个通道上。
接口装置40具有一个选择通道62,该通道可以把输入通道42切换到不同的输出通道46,48,50或52上,由此,输入装置20可以控制任何一个外科装置。接口装置40可以是一个由集成电路组成的且按ASIC配置的转换开关电路。作为一种切换,接口装置40可以是多个由逻辑电路连接到选择通道的电磁继电器。接口装置40响应于输入信号或选择通道62发出的切换信号切换到特定的输入通道上。
如在图1中所示的,选择通道62有多个输入,这些输入源于脚踏板20,语音接口装置70和CPU72。接口装置40可以具有一个多路转换器,这就是说,在任何一次操作中,在选择通道62只接收一个切换信号,由此,没有实质性的硬件冲突。可以构造输入装置的优先级别,由此脚踏板具有最高的优先权,继之是语音接口装置和CPU。这样做的意图是,例如,使用优先方案。保证系统最有效。照这样,其它优先方案也可以使用。当每次将切换信号提供给选择通道62时。选择通道62序贯地把输入通道连接到一个输出通道上。另一方面,选择通道62是可以编址的,因此,当将地址提供给选择通道62时,接口装置40把输入通道连接到一个专用的输出通道。这种编址对于电转换领域是公知的。
选择通道62可以通过导线64连接到脚踏板20上的专用按钮66上,外科大夫可以通过压下按钮66切换外科装置。另一方面,选择通道62可以通过导线68连接到语音接口装置70,使外科大夫可以用声音指令切换外科装置。
系统10有一个中央处理器(CPU)72,该处理器通过接口装置40和总线55接受来自输入装置20的输入信号。CPU72接受输入信号并可以保证不会把不正确的指令输入到控制器。如果这种情况发生,CPU72可以相应地作出反应,或者是向选择通道62发送不同的切换信号,或者是通过视频监视器或扬声器通知外科大夫。
CPU72还可以通过总线76对选择通道62提供输出指令,并通过同一个双向总线76接收来自语音接口装置70的输入指令。CPU72还分别通过总线84和86连接一个监视器80和/或扬声器82。监视器80提供连接到输入装置20的外科装置的目视指示。监视器也可以提供一个指令菜单,外科大夫或者通过语音接口装置70或通过按钮66选择指令。另一方面,外科大夫可以通过图形用户界面选择指令来切换外科装置。监视器80还可以提供由CPU72识别出的关于将不正确的控制信号送到专用的外科装置12,14,16,18的信息。每个装置12,14,16和18具有一个特别合适的工作范围,该范围对于本专业的技术人员是公知的。例如,可以通过对CPU72的编程,识别出何时输入装置20请求的操作是有问题,然后通过监视器80目视地或通过扬声器82可听地提醒外科大夫。扬声器82还可以提供连接到输入装置20上的外科装置的可听指示。
系统10包括一个控制器88,它接受来自输入装置20的输入信号并提供控制手术台18的相应的输出信号。同样,系统还具有适配器90和92,它们在输入装置20和连接到系统上的专用外科装置之间提供一个接口装置。
使用时,接口装置40起始把输入装置20连接到其中一个外科装置上,外科大夫通过产生一个提供给选择通道62的输入指令控制一个不同的外科装置。输入指令切换接口装置04,这样输入装置20可以连接到一个不同的输出通道和相应的外科装置或适配器上。由此,所提供的是一种接口装置40,该装置使外科大夫能够经公共输入装置20选择、操作和控制多个不同的外科装置。

Claims (20)
1.一个用于把输入装置连接到第一外科装置和第二外科装置上的接口装置,包括:
一个具有连接到输入装置的第一输入通道、一个连接到第一外科装置的第一输出通道和一个连接到第二外科装置的第二输出通道的接口装置,所说的接口装置具有一个选择通道,该通道在所说的第一输出通道和所说的第二输出通道间切换所说的第一输入通道。
2.按照权利要求1所述的接口装置,其中所说的接口装置包括一个多路传输器。
3.按照权利要求1所述的接口装置,还包括一个语音接口装置,该装置接收来自外科大夫的指令并为所说的选择通道提供指令信号。
4.按照权利要求3所述的接口装置,还包括连接到所说的语音接口装置和所说的选择通道的中央处理器。
5.一种外科系统,包括:
一个第一外科装置,
一个第二外科装置;
一个对所说的第一外科装置或所说的第二外科装置提供控制信号的输入装置;和
一个具有连接到所说的输入装置的第一输入通道、连接到所说的第一外科装置的第一输出通道和连接到所说的第二外科装置的第二输出通道的接口装置,所说的接口装置具有一个选择通道,该通道在所说的第一输出通道和所说的第二输出通道间切换第一输入通道。
6.按照权利要求5所述的外科系统,其中所说的输入装置是一个脚踏板。
7.按照权利要求6所述的外科系统,其中所说的脚踏板连接到所说的接口装置的所说选择通道。
8.按照权利要求5所述的外科系统,其中所说的输入装置是一个语音接口装置。
9.按照权利要求8所述的外科系统,还包括一个连接到接口装置的选择通道的语音接口装置。
10.按照权利要求5所述的外科系统,其中所说的第一外科装置是一个电烧灼器。
11.按照权利要求5所述的外科系统,其中所说的第一外科装置是一个机械臂。
12.按照权利要求5所述的外科系统,其中所说的第一外科装置是一个激光器。
13.按照权利要求5所述的外科系统,其中所说的第一外科装置是一个手术台。
14.按照权利要求10所述的外科系统,其中所说的第二外科装置是机械臂。
15.按照权利要求14所述的外科系统,其中所说的外科装置是一个脚踏板。
16.按照权利要求15所述的外科系统,还包括连接到接口装置的选择通道的语音接口装置。
17.按照权利要求16所述的外科系统,还包括连接到接口装置的第三输出通道的手术台。
18.按照权利要求17所述的外科系统,还包括连接到接口装置的第四输出通道的激光器。
19.一种由输入装置控制第一外科装置和第二外科装置的方法,包括如下步骤:
a)提供一个具有连接到输入装置的第一输入通道,连接到第一外科装置的第一输出通道和连接到第二外科装置的第二输出通道的接口装置;
b)切换所说的接口装置,由此,所说的第一输入通道连接到所说的第一输出通道;和
c)切换所说的接口装置,由此,所说的第一输入通道连接到所说的第二输出通道。
20.根据权利要求19所述的方法,其中接口装置根据来自语音接口装置的命令信号进行转换。
