Abstract

Description
本发明涉及利用包括特定个人通信系统(PCS),蜂窝通信系统及卫星通信系统的无线电子通信系统传输的通信信号的分发。更具体地说,本发明涉及利用建筑物或构造物内的AC电力线提供无线通信覆盖范围的分发网络。

本发明的另一目的是提供一种安装和维护费用最低的、在整个建筑物或其它构造物内分发无线通信信号的方法和系统。
本发明的另一目的是提供一种操作可靠的、在整个建筑物或其它构造物内分发无线通信信号的方法和系统。
本发明的又一目的是提供一种与标准的个人通信系统(PCS)兼容的、在整个建筑物或其它构造物内分发无线通信信号的方法和系统。
本发明的又一目的是提供一种与蜂窝电话系统兼容的、在整个建筑物或其它构造物内分发无线通信信号的方法和系统。
本发明的又一目的是提供一种与卫星通信系统兼容的、在整个建筑物或其它构造物内分发无线通信信号的方法和系统。
本发明的又一目的是提供一种通过建筑物或其它构造物内的AC电力线,接收并分发无线通信信号的方法。

本发明是一种利用A/C电力线提供与诸如个人通信系统(PCS),蜂窝通信设备及卫星通信设备之类的标准无线通信设备兼容的通信分发网络的方法和系统,本发明的方法和系统解决了在某些建筑物或构造物内常见的信号失真和/或阻塞问题。具体地说,本发明的系统包括射频(RF)接口装置,电力线载波(PLC)基本装置,PLC辅助装置,及RF变换装置。电连接的这些装置通常并且最好使用在任何地方都可能有的现有AC电力线。本发明的方法提供了在本发明的系统中用于在整个建筑物或构造物内分发信号的优选处理和通信步骤。
图1示出了本发明的优选实施例的原理组件的示意图。一般地,本发明在建筑物或其它构造物101内或附近工作。当收到来自于建筑物101外部的信号时,通信信号首先通过标准通信天线109被外部变换模块102接收。外部变换模块102内是两个主要的装置,RF接口装置103和PLC基本装置104。RF接口装置103与外部天线109电连接。通过外部天线109,被RF接口装置103接收的信号由RF接口装置103下变频为基带或低载波频率。接下来,RF接口装置103格式化得到的信号,所述信号可以是语音,数据,视频,多媒体和/或控制信号,并通过标准电连接,把格式化后的信号传送给PLC基本装置104。PLC基本装置104处理接收的格式化信号,并通过现有的AC电力线发送处理后的信号。另一方面,可利用模拟技术发送处理后的信号,或者处理后的信号可被数字化,并利用数字数据链路发送,或者可利用扩频技术发送处理后的信号。通常并且最好简单地通过插入标准的二齿或三齿AC电源插座,使PLC基本装置104与AC电力线连接,不过本发明也支持备选的直接有线连接。通过AC电力线传送的信号由内部变换模块105接收,内部变换模块105最好包括PLC辅助装置106和RF变换装置107。与AC电力线直接相连的PLC辅助装置106接收来自于PLC基本装置104的信号,并通过标准电连接,把信号传送给RF变换装置107。RF变换装置107为标准的典型无线电话或其它通信设备108格式化该信号,对信号上变频,并通过天线111到天线110的信道,把数据或与信号有关的信息传输给无线电话设备108。
另一方面,当用户想从建筑物101内的无线电话设备110发送信号时,反向通信路径如下所述。信号由标准的无线电话或其它通信设备108产生,并通过天线110到天线111的信道,被传输给内部变换模块105的RF变换装置107。RF变换装置107处理或下变频变换接收的信号,以便供PLC辅助装置106使用,PLC辅助装置106接收通过电连接的处理信号。PLC辅助装置106格式化该信号,并将其置于AC电力线上。通常,PLC辅助装置106通过标准的二齿或三齿电插头与AC电力线相连,不过本发明也支持备选的直接有线连接。外部变换模块102的PLC基本装置104接收通过AC电力线的信号,并处理该信号,以便与RF接口装置103通信,RF接口装置103再对信号进行上变频,以便通过天线109,把信号传输给外部接收器。该系统提供显著改善的信号质量,以及显著提高的信噪比,并避免了建筑物或其它构造物内无线通信的盲区。
图2示出了本发明的优选实施例的外部变换模块102的补充细节,具体地说,图2提供了与外部变换模块102的优选实施例的子组件有关的细节。天线109接收的信号如上所述被传送给RF接口装置103。RF接口装置103的优选实施例由三个模块组成:RF解调器201;检测器和数据处理器202;及数据格式化和接口电路203。RF解调器201接收起源于PCS,蜂窝通信系统,卫星通信系统或其它类似通信源的RF信号,对RF信号解调,按照接收的RF信号的通信源及信号类型,恰当地处理RF信号。在为每种类型的通信设备所共有的接收器的领域中,这种处理步骤众所周知。随后,RF解调器以电子学方法把得到的处理信号传送给检测器和数据处理器202,在检测器和数据处理器202中检测信号载波上的信息,处理该信息,并以电子学方法发送给数据格式化和接口电路203。数据格式化和接口电路203为电力线载波(PLC)基本装置104准备正确格式的数据。通常并且最好RF接口装置103与PLC基本装置104通过工业标准导线208,以电子学方法通信。PLC基本装置104最好由三个模块组成:接口204;数据处理器和调制器205;及电力线接口206。接口模块204接收来自于数据格式化和接口电路203的数据,并把数据发送给数据处理器和调制器205,在数据处理器和调制器205,数据被调制和格式化,以便通过AC电力线传送。电力线接口206向外部变换模块102提供电力,并把来自于数据处理器和调制器205的数据提供给AC电力线207。通常,借助标准的二齿或三齿AC电源插座和插头组合,实现电力线接口206和AC电力线207之间的连接,不过备选的与AC电力的直接连接具有相同的功能,并且在本发明的范围之内。
图3示出了本发明的优选实施例的内部变换模块105的补充细节,具体地说,图3提供了与内部变换模块105的优选实施例的子组件有关的细节。优选的内部变换模块105由电力线载波(PLC)辅助装置106和RF变换装置107组成。优选的PLC辅助装置106由三个模块组成:电力线接口301;数据处理器和调制器302;和RF接口303。最好并且通常借助标准的AC壁式电源插座和二齿或三齿电插头,使携带来自于PLC基本装置104的电力线接口206的数据的AC电力线307,与PLC辅助装置106的电力线接口301相连。电力线接口301不仅接收来自于AC电力线连接307的信息,而且还向内部变换模块105提供电力。电力线接口301接收的数据被传给数据处理器和调制器302,数据处理器和调制器302处理并调制数据,以便供RF接口303使用。RF接口303向RF变换装置107提供恰当的电接口。通常并且最好RF接口303通过标准的电线308与RF变换装置107通信。数据格式和接口304为RF变换装置107接合接收的数据,并为信号处理器305格式化该数据,信号处理器305处理传送的信号,并将其发送给RF调制解调器306进行升频,并被发送给天线111,以便把该信号分发给外部的无线电话设备。
图4表示了本发明的采用PCS电话的优选实施例的系统的概述图。在本发明的该实施例中,接收器403被安装并位于住宅或办公室400外,最好在配电箱附近。接收器403适于接收无线广播信号,无线广播信号被下变频并被耦接到电力线接线盒405中。电力线接线盒405使用前面描述的基本装置104使信号与电力线连接。优选的基本装置104被装入接收器403中。辅助装置106被插入住宅或办公大楼400中任何地方的AC电源插座406中。辅助装置106接收基本装置104传输来的电力线信号,之后,该信号被上变频,并重发给无线(PCS)电话设备401,无线电话设备401通过天线402接收信号。
图5是表示本发明的优选方法的步骤的流程图。该方法首先在步骤501接收无线信号,通常是通过安装在建筑物或其它构造物外的天线接收无线信号。在步骤502,接收的信号被下变频为基带或低载波中心频率。随后在步骤503,下变频后的信号被格式化成数据,语音和/或控制信号。接下来在步骤504,得到的格式化信号被发送给PLC基本装置,在PLC基本装置,格式化信号在步骤505被处理,并在步骤506,通过AC电力线被发送。在步骤507,PLC辅助装置接收来自于AC电力线的信号,并在步骤508,格式化该信号,随后在步骤509,格式化信号被发送给RF变换装置。随后在步骤510,接收的信息被升频,并在步骤511,被发送给无线电话设备进行通信。

Claims (11)
1.一种分发无线信号的系统,它包括:
(A)接收通信信号的天线;
(B)从所述天线接收所述信号、并产生AC电力线兼容信号的外部变换模块;
(C)接收所述AC电力线兼容信号的AC电力线通信信道;
(D)接收所述AC电力线兼容信号、并为无线传输变换所述AC电力线兼容信号的内部通信模块;
(E)接收所述变换后的信号、并把所述信号传输给无线通信设备的天线。
2.按照权利要求1所述的分发无线信号的系统,其中所述外部通信模块还包括:
(1)RF接口装置;和
(2)与所述RF接口装置电连接的PLC基本装置。
3.按照权利要求2所述的分发无线信号的系统,其中所述RF接口装置还包括:
(a)RF解调器;
(b)与所述RF解调器电连接的检测器和数据处理器;和
(c)与所述检测器和数据处理器电连接的数据格式化和接口电路。
4.按照权利要求2所述的分发无线信号的系统,其中所述PLC基本装置还包括:
(a)接口电路;
(b)与所述接口电路电连接的第一数据处理器和调制器;和
(c)与所述第一数据处理器和调制器电连接的第一电力线接口电路。
5.按照权利要求1所述的分发无线信号的系统,其中所述内部通信模块还包括:
(1)PLC辅助装置;和
(2)与所述RF接口装置电连接的RF变换装置。
6.按照权利要求5所述的分发无线信号的系统,其中所述PLC辅助装置还包括:
(a)第二电力线接口电路;
(b)与所述电力线接口电路电连接的第二数据处理器和调制器;和
(c)与所述第二数据处理器和调制器电连接的RF接口电路。
7.按照权利要求5所述的分发无线信号的系统,其中所述RF变换装置还包括:
(a)数据格式化和接口电路;
(b)与所述数据格式化和接口电路电连接的信号处理器;和
(c)与所述信号处理器电连接的RF调制解调器。
8.按照权利要求1所述的分发无线信号的系统,其中所述无线通信设备还包括PCS设备。
9.按照权利要求1所述的分发无线信号的系统,其中所述无线通信设备还包括蜂窝设备。
10.按照权利要求1所述的分发无线信号的系统,其中所述无线通信设备还包括卫星通信设备。
11.一种利用AC电力线载波通信信道来分发无线通信信号的方法,所述方法包括:
(A)接收无线通信信号;
(B)下变频变换所述接收的无线通信信号;
(C)格式化所述下变频信号;
(D)把所述格式化信号发送给电力线基本装置;
(E)在所述电力线基本装置中处理所述发送的信号;
(F)从所述电力线基本装置向AC电力线通信信道发送所述处理后的信号;
(G)电力线辅助装置接收所述发送信号;
(H)向RF变换装置发送所述接收信号;
(I)格式化所述接收信号,以便进行RF传输;
(J)对所述格式化信号上变频;和
(K)把所述上变频信号传输给无线电话设备。
