用于医用溶液的多室容器及其制造方法
发明背景
本发明大体上涉及塑料薄膜及由塑料薄膜制造的容器。更具体地来说,本发明涉及用于盛放医用产品的容器及其制造方法。
已知将医用溶液盛放在由塑料薄膜制成的弹性容器中。这些容器可用于盛放产品,如肠胃外的、小肠的和渗析溶液。实际上,可以将大量不同的溶液盛放和储存在这样的容器中。
已经提出了许多关于用于盛放医用溶液的容器以及用于制造这种容器的薄膜的问题。制造这种容器时必须使其不含有害的可提取物,因为这些可提取物会浸出到溶液中。这一点对于如肠胃外的溶液尤为重要,因为此溶液是直接注入病人的血流中。

在制造用于医药工业的容器时还必须考虑另一个问题就是溶液,因此容器经常需要在制造容器和/或导入溶液之后进行消毒。通常使用蒸汽消毒法或高压蒸汽消毒法对产品进行消毒。高压蒸汽消毒会改变用于形成容器的薄膜和容器小室之间密封条的热性质。
当然,在提供一个多室容器时,必须使得小室之间的密封能够经受在正常操作时遇到的外来压力,这样密封条就不会永久开启。这样的压力包括应用于一个或多个小室,例如,从挤压其内部以封装或袋子的偶然下落而来的压力。
然而,使用这些类型的材料制造这种密封条时的困难是密封条的强度通常会由于消毒过程中使用的热而增大。结果是密封条在消毒过程之后过于结实,这使得最终用户在分离或打开密封条以把小室内的组分混合时十分困难。
应当指出打算使用本发明的许多医用溶液的最终用户通常是病人自己。这在容器用来盛放和给药用于腹薄膜透析的溶液时特别确切。腹薄膜透析是一种传统血液透析的替代方法,通过血液透析,晚期肾病病人基本上每天多次自己用药透析溶液进行处理。但是,进行透析的病人一般是老人或也有糖尿病人,他们视力不好,并且身体虚弱,灵活性下降。因此,需用于开启小室之间的密封条的力应该小心控制以耐受正常操作的某些偶然的挤压,但是又不能太大以致当病人需要容易地打开时难以完成,这一点十分重要。
USP 5,577,369中公开了一种弹性容器,其包含大量被密封条分开的内部分隔间。密封条区至少由一种至少包含两层的薄膜制成,其中一层是RF响应的,而另一层,即内层是非RF响应的。RF响应层响应于RF能量,将非RF响应内层加热以形成一可剥落的封条,它是由在限定容器内部的非RF响应层之间的接合限定的。
USP 5,209,347中公开了一内部拉开密封条的容器,它至少包含两个小室。提供一个选择性可开启的密封条线将两片材料连接起来。该选择性可开启的密封条线可耐非故意开启但是在应用特定力时开启。
发明概述
本发明提供了改进的医用溶液容器及其制造方法。本发明的容器至少包含两个小室。该容器是专为盛放医用溶液设计的,尽管它也可以盛入其它溶液并可用于其它目的。
为达到这一目标,在一个实施方案中,本发明提供了一个容器,它包含一个至少部分由薄膜限定的壳体,该壳体至少包含一个永久密封条。该容器至少包括两个至少部分被可剥落密封条分开的小室。该薄膜包括一个密封剂层,该层具有双峰热行为,这样使得侧封成为永久密封条,并且可剥落密封条可以开启。
在一个实施方案中,密封剂层包含具有不同熔化温度的不同等级的聚丙烯。
在一个实施方案中,薄膜包括一个包含聚丙烯的外层,一个包含聚酰胺的核心层,以及一个包含聚丙烯的密封剂层。
在一个实施方案中,双峰热行为是指产生永久密封条的温度至少比产生可剥落密封条高5℃。

本发明优选实施方案的详细描述
本发明大体涉及用于盛放医用溶液的容器。但如前所述,本发明的容器可以用于盛放其它类型的产品。
现在参看图1,大体说明了本发明的一个多室容器10的一个实施方案。尽管图示的容器包含两个小室12和14,但也可以提供两个以上的小室。小室12和14设计用于分别储存物质和/或溶液。在小室12和14之间提供了一个可剥落密封条16。当然,如果提供另外的小室,也可以提供另外的可剥落密封条。
在图示实施方案中,容器10是从一弹性塑料片形成的。容器10也可以由沿其边缘(分别为11,13,15和17)进行热封两片薄膜形成。然而,容器10也可以由一网状薄膜制成,该薄膜沿三边折叠和密封。按照本发明,容器由以下讨论的多层薄膜形成。
在此图示实施方案中,使用了两片薄膜。围绕容器10的外围在边11,13,15和17处将薄膜片密封。在形成小室12和14的两片薄膜之间提供可剥落密封条16。
图1说明了一个优选实施方案,在容器底部提供了一个管状端口22。管状端口22与小室12的内部相通,但可以放置在容器10的任何合适的位置上。端口22可以包含一个合适的薄膜套,该薄膜套被如套管或输液设备的长钉穿透。这样就允许把另外的物质无菌加入到小室12中,或一旦密封条16开启,加入到容器10中。
在此图示实施方案中,在容器10的底部安置了三个管状端口23,25和27,它们与小室14的内部相通。这些端口允许流体加入到小室14中,或一旦密封条16开启,加入到容器10中或从那里分散到病人处。端口23,25和27也可以包含被如套管或输液设备长钉穿透的薄膜(没有标出)。
可以理解用于填充容器10的端口如22和23并不是本发明的要求。根据用于制造容器的方法,填充端口可能根本就不需要。例如,如果容器由一卷连续的塑料薄膜形成,薄膜可以纵向折叠,先产生一个永久密封条,第一分隔间充满溶液,然后产生一个可剥落密封条,第二个充满的分隔间,永久密封条,等等。
按照本发明,提供一个新型可剥落密封条16。因此容器10和可剥落密封条16通过使用包含一个新型密封剂层的薄膜提供。该密封剂层允许产生可剥落的永久密封条。因此,可以从同样的薄膜层上产生永久侧封11,13,15和17以及可剥落密封条16。
参看图2,说明了本发明的薄膜30的一个实施方案。薄膜30以横断面说明,其包含至少32,34和36三层。层36限定了容器10的一个外部,层34限定了核心层,层32限定了密封剂层。在此图示实施方案中,这些层由复合薄膜粘合层38和40固定在一起。
密封剂层32提供具有双峰热行为的层。在一个实施方案中,密封剂层32包含一个由同种材料或不同等级材料制成的组合物。在此,在一个实施方案中,密封剂层32是一个由不同等级聚丙烯组成的混合物,由于其立构规正度不同或由于高的乙烯无规共聚物竞争,这些聚丙烯的熔化温度不同。例如,在一个实施方案中,使用了高度结晶的聚丙烯聚合物。高度结晶的聚丙烯聚合物具有高的熔化温度;优选熔化温度是约140℃。另外,这种聚合物熔程很窄。
另外,密封剂层32优选包含熔化温度低于130℃的更无定形的聚丙烯。例如,这种低熔化温度可由第二级聚丙烯比层32中的第一级聚丙烯更无定形/相应结晶更少引起。
使用这样的材料,无论何时在温度如约125℃和129℃下期望得到可剥落密封条,可剥落密封条16都可以由把容器10的两片相对的密封剂层32熔化在一起制成。在高于135℃的温度下,也可以把两密封剂层32熔化在一起产生一永久密封条。因此,仅仅通过在不同的温度范围下形成每个密封条,同样的密封剂层32可以产生永久侧封和可剥落密封条。可以应用许多不同的密封条技术制造这样的密封条,包括热封、热脉冲封口和声波密封。
在此密封剂层32的实施方案中,由于仅包含在相对的密封剂侧层32中的更无定形低熔化温度的聚丙烯的熔合产生了可剥落密封条16。只是这些聚合物参与了最终的粘附。通过改变密封剂层32的组成,就能够在一较好范围中确定粘附水平。
参见图3,图示了一个数字式扫描量热法温度记录图。该温度记录图证明了本发明材料的双峰行为。使用一个购自Mettler,型号为DSC12E的商用数字式扫描量热计测试材料。测试材料过程中,材料经历从30℃到220℃,速率为20℃/分钟的第一热循环,以10℃/分钟的速率冷却至30℃,并最终进行从30℃到250℃,速率为20℃/分钟的第三热步骤测试。热流通过与参照对比测量。
图2中图示的薄膜实施方案包含一外层36,其包含聚丙烯。复合薄膜粘结层38位于外层36和核心层34之间。复合薄膜粘结层38可以是聚丙烯接枝的马来酸酐。核心层34可以是聚酰胺,并优选聚酰胺6。然后优选使用另一聚丙烯接枝的马来酸酐复合薄膜粘结层40将该核心层34固定到密封剂层32。
优选外层36比薄膜30的内层具有更高熔化温度,目的是在消毒过程中避免粘附合。由于要加热密封模具用以产生密封条,因此这样也可以防止密封模具粘附到外层上。
薄膜30的核心层34应该提供好的力学和扩散性质。甚至在比密封温度高得多的高达200℃的温度下,核心层34也应该保持这些性质。
参见图4,图示了另一外薄膜41的实施方案。在此实施方案中,密封剂层42包含聚丙烯和线型低密度聚乙烯。在一个优选的实施方案中,层42包含约70%重量的聚丙烯(PP)。聚丙烯是半结晶的聚烯烃,熔化温度为126℃-170℃(取决于材料的结晶度)。最期望的聚丙烯是具有连续相,因此,在一个优选实施方案中,其浓度应至少为约60%重量。
密封剂层42也优选包含线型低密度聚乙烯。在一个优选实施方案中,密封剂层42含有约10%重量的线型低密度聚乙烯(LLDPE),其分散在聚丙烯基质中。线型低密度聚乙烯是半结晶的聚烯烃,熔化温度为约90℃-130℃。其应用浓度范围为约5%-15%重量。
密封剂层42中的线型低密度聚乙烯有两种作用。它的熔化温度比聚丙烯低,因此增加了混合物的双峰热行为。线型低密度聚乙烯的高无定形特性也增加了分散相的流动性和相容性,因此产生了一个更好的混合物。
在一个实施方案中,密封剂层也包含约20%重量的苯乙烯-乙烯-丁烯-苯乙烯(SEBS)。SEBS是三嵌段共聚物。在这一点上,它包含聚苯乙烯嵌段/乙烯-丁烯嵌段/聚苯乙烯嵌段共聚物。乙烯-丁烯是弹性体。完整的三嵌段作为热塑性弹性体,其软化温度为约100℃。它应该是第二分散相,其浓度范围为约5%-20%重量。即使是在软化温度以上,该三嵌段共聚物的乳化性也会产生低的流动性。
应该注意到在上述实施方案中也可以使用同样浓度的超低密度的聚乙烯(ULDPE),以完全或部分替代线型低密度聚乙烯,并且也可以添加乙烯醋酸乙烯酯以改善可量测性。
一个主要的可剥落密封条的实施方案是在低的密封温度(即剥落密封条温度)下,密封剂层42是固体。参见图5(a)和5(b),一起说明了两个密封剂层42和42’的密封。清楚地说明了所产生的可剥落密封条43和永久密封条45。
特别参见图5(a),当加热密封剂层42和42’时,只有分散相是液体。因此,刚刚就在那时候产生的粘附便在两层薄膜42和42’的密封条43之间产生了桥接50和52。可剥落密封条43的强度与那些桥接的数量成正比。因此可剥落密封条43的强度不仅受到密封剂层42和42’的组成的支配,而且也受到微结构及成熟物的热和力学过程支配。另外,因为消毒在较低的温度进行(例如约120℃),密封剂层42和42’是固体,并且在消毒过程中没有粘滞流,因此减少了混合和封底焊缝的形成。
参见图5(b),在更高的温度下,密封剂层42和42’都表现为粘滞流,这导致了强烈的混合和封底焊缝的形成。这便产生了永久密封条45。
密封剂层42提供了真正的双峰体系,其剥落密封性的平台区为约110℃至约125℃,并且具有永久密封性的第二平台。线型低密度聚乙烯(高度无定形)起到增塑剂的作用,并且可以作为配伍剂。
以下将给出本发明的实施例及其测试,作为例子,但并不是限制。
实施例1
本例中,密封剂层包含:
约45-约54%重量PP,
约18-约27%重量SEBS,
约9-约14%重量EVA,
约4.5-约9%重量石蜡油,
约9.8%重量LLDPE,和
约2%重量ABPP。
图6图示了按照以上配方制成的密封剂层的剥落强度对温度的关系。密封条在一热合机上进行,压力2Mpa,焊接时间3秒。该密封条长200mm,宽4mm。垂直密封条切下宽15mm的条,在Instron拉伸试验机上进行强度测试。
实施例2
本例中,密封剂层包含:
65%PP与乙烯的无规共聚物(4%乙烯),和
35%间规PP。
图7图示了由以上配方制成的密封剂层的剥落强度对温度的关系。密封条在一热合机上进行,压力2Mpa,焊接时间3秒。该密封条长200mm,宽4mm。垂直密封条切下宽15mm的条,在Instron拉伸试验机上进行强度测试。
实施例3
本例中,密封剂层包含:
60%PP与乙烯的无规共聚物,
25%SEBS,和
15%LLDPE。
图8图示了密封强度。密封条在一热合机上进行,压力2Mpa,焊接时间3秒。该密封条长200mm,宽4mm。垂直密封条切下宽15mm的条,在Instron拉伸试验机上进行强度测试。
实施例4
本例中,密封剂层包含:
60%PP,
20%SEBS,
10%EVA,和
10%LLDPE。
图9图示了密封强度。密封条在一热合机上进行,压力2Mpa,焊接时间3秒。密封条长200mm,宽4mm。垂直密封条切下宽15mm的条,在Instron拉伸试验机上进行强度测试。
通过以上四个实施例得到的结论为:
1.所有的受测配方都有可剥落性;
2.添加EVA提高可剥落值,即开启封条所需的力的值;
3.结果显示添加EVA降低了永久密封条的强度,这明显是由于在复合薄膜粘结层上低的粘附性所致;和
4.以配合LLDPE代替干混合对强度值有强烈影响。
参见图10,说明了本发明的一个实施方案。该实施方案中提供了容器60,它具有两个小室62和64,它们可以被剥落密封条66分开。但是也可以提供两个以上的小室。如图所示,容器60包括端口67,它允许容器60外部流通。
容器60包括一个内区68,它与端口67的内区69流通。内区68部分由可剥落密封条70限定。尽管不是必需的,但在一个优选实施方案中,可剥落密封条70的密封强度比可剥落密封条66的剥落强度高。在应用中,第一可剥落密封条66是分开的,这使得小室62和64中的溶液可以混合。当进一步加压时,可剥落密封条70就会开启,混合的溶液就可通过端口注入病人体内。
应该理解,对此处描述的优选实施方案的多种变化与修改对于熟悉本领域的人是显而易见的。在不偏离本发明的精神与范围,并且不损害其伴随的优点的情况下,可以进行这样的变化与修改。因此,附带的权利要求书意图包括这样的变化与修改。

Claims (28)

1.一种容器,其包括:
一个至少部分由薄膜限定的壳体,该壳体包括至少一个侧密封条;至少部分被可剥落密封条分开的至少两个小室;所述薄膜包括具有双峰热行为的密封剂层,这可使得侧密封条成为永久密封条,并且可剥落密封条至少部分可以被分开。
2.权利要求1的容器,其中的密封剂层包含聚丙烯和线型低密度聚乙烯。
3.权利要求1的容器,其中的薄膜包括:
包含聚丙烯的外层;
包含聚酰胺的核心层;和
包含聚丙烯的密封剂层。
4.权利要求1的容器,其中的双峰热行为是指永久密封条产生的温度至少比可剥落密封条产生的温度高5℃。
5.权利要求1的容器,其中的密封剂层包括具有不同熔化温度的不同等级的聚丙烯。

18.一种容器,其至少包括一个永久密封条,并限定了至少两个相互之间有可剥落密封条的小室,该容器至少部分由薄膜制成,该薄膜包含:
限定容器外表面的外层,该外层包含聚丙烯;
核心层;和
至少部分限定了容器的内表面、可剥落密封条和永久密封条的密封剂层,该密封剂层具有双峰热性质,并且包含聚丙烯、线型低密度聚乙烯和SEBS。
