Abstract

记录多信道流的方法和装置,以及记录介质
技术领域
本发明涉及在记录介质,比如可写高密度数字通用光盘(以下简称为‘HD-DVD’)上记录多信道数据流的方法和装置,其使得在再生时构成多信道数据流的数字信道子流可以相互区分。
本发明进一步涉及记录有多信道数据流的记录介质,其使得在再生时构成多信道数据流的数字信道子流可以相互区分。
背景技术
由于视频/音频数据压缩、数字调制/解调等领域的技术进步,以数字数据流的形式广播TV信号的数字电视广播系统正在快速地标准化。
在数字电视广播系统中,根据MPEG 2(运动图像专家组)指定的数据压缩规则压缩将要广播的音频/视频(A/V)信号,压缩的A/V数据以传输流(TS,也是在MPEG 2标准中定义的,由连续的188字节长的传输分组(TP)构成)的形式进行广播。
由于A/V数据压缩和传输的技术进步而快要商品化的数字TV广播系统可以支持比模拟TV系统更高质量的视频和音频。另外,它确保了与数字通信设备、数字存储设备等等的数据兼容性。
同时,正在开发新的设备以为数字TV广播系统的商品化作准备。这就是可以接收数字广播节目的TS并将其记录在可写HD-DVD上的数字记录器。一旦数字TV广播系统真的实现了商品化,这样的数字记录器就将得到广泛的应用。
单个的物理广播信道(通常称为“RF信道”)的带宽大约为6MHz,这可以保证19.4Mbps的数据率。这个数据率可以承载单个的HD-TV广播信号或者大约4个SD-TV信号。在RF信道中这样的承载SD-TV信号的逻辑或虚拟信道称为“数字信道”。
也就是说,单个的RF信道有时包括几个数字信道,即承载互不相同的广播节目的子信道。
因此,正在开发的DVD记录器可能需要应用户的请求同时记录两个或更多的数字信道。但是,如果DVD记录器通过与单个数字信道时一样的方式记录多个数字信道并且创建管理信息,则DVD可能无法在多个数字信道的记录流中区分数字信道。也就是说,用户无法在记录的多个数字信道中仅仅选择一个节目,即一个数字信道来进行再生。
发明内容
本发明的一个目的是提供一种在记录介质上记录多信道流的方法和装置,通过管理信息和/或全部或部分地通过分区记录,使得在再生模式中,多信道流中的子流可以相互区分开。
根据本发明的在记录介质上记录多信道的方法的特征在于,包括以下步骤:记录由属于多个信道的子流构成的多信道流,并把记录的流合成为单个的流对象;为包含在已合成为单个流对象的所记录的多信道流中的每个子流创建搜索信息,并把所创建的搜索信息记录在记录介质上。
根据本发明的在记录介质上记录多信道的装置的特征在于,其包括:数据接收机,接收数字广播信号的至少一个RF信道,以输出由属于所选择的多个子信道的多个子流构成的多信道流;以及记录装置,在记录介质上记录多信道流,把所记录的流合成为单个的流对象,为包含在所记录的流中的各个子流创建搜索信息,并把所创建的搜索信息记录在记录介质上。

优选实施例详述
为了帮助完全理解本发明,以下参照附图说明本发明的优选实施例。
图1是根据本发明的记录多信道流的装置的方框图。
图1的装置可以是能够在记录介质(比如可写HD-DVD)上记录数字广播信号的数字视频记录器(DVR)。该装置包括:调谐器10,将其通频带调谐至数字广播TV信号的至少一个RF带宽;流选择器11,从通过调谐器10的一个或多个RF信道的数据流中选择属于选定数字信道(或子信道)的多个子流;记录处理器12,根据预定的记录模式在单个或多个HOB(高密度流对象)中记录所选择的子流,为每个记录的子流创建并写入导航数据;光学拾取器13,根据记录处理器12输出的流和导航数据的比特模式在HD-DVD 100上形成标记/空白图形;以及控制器14,为多流记录的所有元件进行总体控制操作。
调谐器10通过一个数字广播TV信道,即控制器14选择的RF信道。流选择器11提取属于由控制器14从调谐器10通过的RF信道的多信道流中选择的几个(例如2个)数字信道的传输分组(TP)。流选择器11提取的TP序列以单个流201或者相互区分的多个流2021和2022的形式输出,如图2所示。
调谐器10也可以通过多个RF信道。在多通模式中,流选择器11也可以从各个RF信道中提取多于一个的子流,以输出属于从各RF信道提供的可用信道中选择的数字信道的TP序列。
为方便解说起见,假设以下所述的所有实施例中,流选择器11从接收到的多信道流中选择2个子流,即2个数字信道。
记录处理器12可以根据写在流选择器11输出的每个TP中的分组ID(PID)相互区分出2个数字信道子流,即第一和第二子流。
根据预设的记录模式记录第一和第二数字信道子流。如果预设的记录模式是“混合”,则如图3所示,记录处理器12在从流选择器12接收到2个复用的子流时将其记录在单个的分配HOB 301中。
同时,记录处理器12根据区分的数字信道信息和各个子流记录信息为每个数字信道子流创建导航数据。以下详细说明创建导航数据的方式。
图3显示了根据本发明的为记录在单个HOB中的多个数字信道的子流创建导航数据的第一实施例。
用于记录数字广播信号的记录介质有暂行的记录标准。根据该暂行记录标准,记录介质应该具有节目链信息(PGCI),这是为每个所记录的节目的索引和它们的再生顺序而准备的。PGCI包括节目信息(PGI)和单元信息(CI),它们分别是为各个从头到尾连续记录的单个数据流而创建的。另外,应该根据该暂行记录标准为各个单个记录数据流创建显示时间映射(PTMAP)。PTMAP用于流的搜索,具有构成所记录的数据流的每个数据单元的位置数据或者位置相关的时间长度数据的集合。各个PTMAP的搜索指针和信息包含在HOB信息(HOBI)中。
但是,对于根据本发明第一实施例的记录在单个HOB中的2个子流,分别创建用于2个PTMAP的2个CI‘单元#1和单元#2’,而非1个,以及2个PTMAPI,而非1个,并创建单个的PGI‘PGI#1’,如图3所示。接下来,在这个实施例中,多个CI,即2个CI与单个的PGI关联,这意味着单个的CI包含仅仅关于单个数字信道的1个子流的信息。
PGI和CI写在PGCI中,而PTMAP和PTMAPI写在HOBI中。
通常,在记录模式中,导航数据,比如PGCI和HOBI从HD-DVD100中载入存储器(未示出),如上创建的PGI、CI和HOBI被插入到导航数据中,在完全记录了多个数字信道的子流之后,导航数据将存储在HD-DVD 100的导航数据区中。
图4至图7是当如图3所示记录多信道流时创建的导航数据的结构。
图4的PGCI包括节目链一般信息‘PGC_GI’,多个PGI‘PGI#1至PGI#n’,多个CI搜索指针‘CI_SRP#1至#m’,以及多个CI‘CI#1至#m’。每个PGI包括节目类型字段‘PG_TY’和CI数目‘C_Ns’。
如图5所示,8比特长的节目类型‘PG_TY’包括‘保护’标记、‘S/M’标记、3比特的信道数目‘Channel_Ns’和‘保留’。‘保护’标记指示关联的节目(PG,等同于概念组合的流)是否可擦除。‘S/M’指示关联的PG是包含单信道还是多信道流,信道数目‘Channel_Ns’描述了关联的PG的记录流中包含的数字信道的数目。
例如,对于图3中的HOB#1(其中记录了2个数字信道的2个子流),在第一个PGI‘PGI#1’的节目类型‘PG_TY’中分配的‘Channel_Ns’字段中写的是‘010’(=2),并设置节目类型‘PG_TY’中分配的‘S/M’标记以表示多信道流。另外,因为为每个数字信道创建了一个CI,所以对于图3的记录示例,在第一个PGI‘PGI#1’的‘C_Ns’字段中写的是‘2’。
如图4所示,每个CI包括5个字段:单元类型‘C_TY’,HOBI搜索指针号‘HOBI_SRPN’,PTMAP号‘PTMAPN’,单元起始PTM‘C_V_S_PTM’,以及单元结束PTM‘C_V_E_PTM’。
如图6所示,8比特长的‘C_TY’字段包括子字段:2比特的单元类型‘C_TY1’,3比特的单元信道号‘C_CH_N’,以及‘保留’,其中子字段‘C_TY1’指示单元是与多信道还是单信道流相关,子字段‘C_CH_N’指示由该单元引用的记录流的数字信道号。
例如,第一和第二子流的数字信道号分别写在引用图3中HOB#1(其中包含2个数字信道的2个子流)的2个CI‘CI#1和CI#2’的子字段‘C_CH_N’中。
通过每个CI中包含的字段‘HOBI_SRPN’与CI链接的HOBI包括:HOBI一般信息‘HOBI_GI’,多个PTMAP搜索指针‘PTMAP_SRP#1至#n’,以及多个PTMAP信息‘PTMAP#1至#n’,如图7所示。
HOBI一般信息‘HOBI_GI’包括多个字段:HOB类型‘HOB_TY’,HOB记录时间‘HOB_REC_TM’,HOB起始PTM,HOB结束PTM,PTMAP数目‘PTMAP_Ns’,以及所有PTMAP的起始地址‘PTMAP_SA#i’。
PTMAPI包括PTMAP一般信息‘PTMAP_GI’和随机访问HOB单元的入口‘HOBU_ENT#1至#j’。PTMAP一般信息‘PTMAP_GI’包括字段:视频‘V_PID’和音频分组ID‘A_PID’,这指示构成与PTMAP关联的记录流的音频和视频TP各自的PID;HOBI索引号‘HOBI_STIN’;随机访问HOB单元的数目‘HOBU_ENT_Ns’;PTMAP起始PTM‘PTMAP_S_PTM’;以及PTMAP结束PTM‘PTMAP_E_PTM’。
为记录的多信道流创建并记录如图4至7所示构造的导航数据,结果,当选择再生HOB时,根据与所选择的HOB关联的PGCI中包含的PGI中的节目类型‘PG_TY’和CI数目‘C_Ns’,可以知道所选择的HOB包含多个数字信道的子流。
由CI(其索引号与PGI的相同)可以知道每个数字信道号。
当搜索HOB中记录的多信道流中包含的选定数字信道的子流时,首先根据在各条PTMAP信息‘PTMAP#i’的PTMAP一般信息‘PTMAP_GI’的PTMAP数目‘PTMAP_Ns’、各PTMAP起始地址‘PTMAP_SA #i’以及PTMAP起始和结束PTM‘PTMAP_S_PTM’和‘PTMAP_E_PTM’中写入的信息确定与选定数字信道的子流关联的PTMAP。接着,搜索选定数字信道的子流,然后利用写在所确定的PTMAP中的各数据单元的PTM增量时间和大小在记录的多信道流中选择性地进行再生。
图8显示了根据本发明的为记录在单个HOB中的多个数字信道的子流创建导航数据的第二实施例。
图8中的这个第二实施例与图3中的第一实施例有所不同:创建的是单个的CI。但是,和第一实施例一样地创建用于子流区分搜索的PTMAPI,即,创建和多信道流中包含的数字信道数目同样多的PTMAPI。
因为这个第二实施例在记录多个数字信道的子流后创建的CI数目与第一实施例不同,所以CI的结构与图4所示的不同。
这个第二实施例的一个CI除图4中的字段之外还包括‘信道数目字段’,并且创建和这个CI所引用的记录流中包含的数字信道数目同样多的由PTMAP号‘PTMAPN’、单元起始PTM‘C_V_S_PTM’和单元结束PTM‘C_V_E_PTM’构成的字段组。另外,因为单条CI涵盖了所有包含在记录的多信道流中的数字信道,所以在这个CI中保留了用于写入数字信道数目的附加字段。
因为CI具有记录流的信道数目的信息,PGI无需具有这个信息。因此,在这个第二实施例中,从PGI中除去了图5中分配在节目类型‘PG_TY’中的3比特子字段‘Channel_Ns’。
另外,因为即使记录的是多个数字信道的流也创建单条CI,所以从图4的PGI中除去了指示CI数目的字段‘C_Ns’。
即使在这个第二实施例中,和第一实施例一样,在导航数据中包含了关于每个数字信道的每个记录子流的信息。因此,所选择的数字信道的子流仅仅可以在混合的多个子流中进行搜索和再生。
图9显示了根据本发明的为记录在单个HOB中的多个数字信道的子流创建导航数据的第三实施例。
除了CI和PTMAPI之外,图9中的这个第三实施例还创建并记录和数字信道同样数目的PGI。
因此,在这个第三实施例中,一个PGI仅仅涵盖包含在多信道流中的单个子流。在这种情况下,因为一个PGI应该伴随至少一个CI,所以CI无需保留用于关于多个数字信道的信息的字段。因此,在CI中无需分配图6中的子字段,即为识别‘多’或‘单’流而分配的单元类型‘C_TY1’,以及信道号‘C_CH_N’。另外,从CI字段中除去了PTMAP号字段‘PTMAPN’。
另外,因为为每个子流创建一个PGI,所以一个PGI无需管理多个信道,从而无需图5中节目类型‘PG_TY’中分配的子字段‘Channel_Ns’。而是要在PGI中分配用于写入相关子流的信道号的新的字段。
图10显示了根据本发明的为记录在单个HOB中的多个数字信道的子流创建导航数据的第四实施例。
图10中的这个第四实施例与图3中的第一实施例有所不同,除用于每个子流各自的PTMAPI外,还创建用于多信道流的PTMAPI1001。
因为存在用于单个子流和复用在一个多信道流中的全部子流的两种类型的PTMAPI,所以有必要区分这两种类型。因此,应该在图7的PTMAP一般信息‘PTMAP_GI’中分配附加的PTMAP类型字段,用于区分类型,即‘单’和‘混合’。和PTMAPI一样,CI应该由所引用的流的类型来区分,即,‘单’用于单个的子流,‘混合’用于全部子流,从而在CI中需要用于写入‘单’或‘混合’的附加字段。但是,也可以不分配这个附加字段,而是使用图6中的单元类型‘C_TY1’,通过分配给‘单’和‘混合’的新的代码来实现这个类型区别。
在流记录中也可以不创建用于多信道流的PTMAP。而是在必要的时候由各子流的PTMAP构建。
在图10的这个第四实施例中,即使记录的是2个子流也创建3个CI。结果,对于图10的示例性多信道流记录,在一个PGI的字段‘C_Ns’中写入‘3’(=信道数目+1),在节目类型‘PG_TY’的子字段‘Channel_Ns’中写入实际信道的数目(=2)。
另外,特殊的代码,比如不用作实际信道数目的零(=0),写在引用多信道流的CI的信道号子字段‘C_CH_N’中。使用这个特殊代码的目的是为了在要和记录时一样地全部,而不是选择性地搜索或再生多信道流的时候,在无法指定信道号的情况下,容易地确定哪个导航数据与全部的多流关联。
图11显示了根据本发明的为记录在单个HOB中的多个数字信道的子流创建导航数据的第五实施例。
图11中的这个第五实施例与图8中的第二实施例有所不同,除用于每个子流各自的PTMAPI外,还创建用于多信道流的PTMAPI1001。
和第四实施例一样,这个第五实施例在图7的PTMAP一般信息‘PTMAP_GI’中包含用于‘单’和‘混合’的附加PTMAP类型字段。
在流记录中也可以不创建用于多信道流的PTMAP。而是在必要的时候由各子流的PTMAP构建。
和第二实施例类似,除了图4中的字段外,图11中的第五实施例还在CI中具有用于写入虚拟信道数目的附加字段,其中写入‘实际数字信道数目’+1。并且它还在CI中具有和数字信道数目加1一样多的字段组。字段组由PTMAP号‘PTMAPN’、单元起始PTM‘C_V_S_PTM’和单元结束PTM‘C_V_E_PTM’构成。
另外,在CI中为各字段组创建用于写入‘单’或‘混合’的新字段,以指示字段组是与单信道流还是与多信道流关联。另外,因为单个的CI管理多个子流,所以还为每个字段组分配用于写入相关子流或多信道流的信道号的新字段。
在分配给多信道流的字段组的新的信道号字段中写入特殊的代码,比如零(=0),以实现和第四实施例同样的目的。
图12显示了根据本发明的为记录在单个HOB中的多个数字信道的子流创建导航数据的第六实施例。
图12中的这个第六实施例与图9中的第三实施例有所不同,除用于各个子流的各PTMAPI外,还创建用于多信道流的PTMAPI 1001。
和第四实施例一样,这个第六实施例在图7的PTMAP一般信息‘PTMAP_GI’中包含用于‘单’和‘混合’的附加PTMAP类型字段。和PTMAPI一样,CI应该由所引用的流的类型来区分,即对于单个子流的‘单’和对于全部子流的‘混合’,从而在CI中需要用于写入‘单’或‘混合’的附加字段。但是,也可以不分配这个附加字段,而是利用图6中的单元类型‘C_TY1’,通过分配给‘单’和‘混合’的新代码,实现这个类型区别。
因为在第六实施例中,即使对于多信道流也创建一个PGI,所以PGI必须具有用于PGI类型(即‘单’或‘混合’)的附加字段,或者具有用于‘单’或‘混合’的各自代码。
在流记录中可以不创建用于多信道流的PTMAP。而是而是在必要的时候由各子流的PTMAP构建。
和第三实施例一样,这个第六实施例为各子流创建一个PGI,从而CI无需具有关于多个信道的信息。因此,无需信道号‘C_CH_N’,并且也无需在CI中分配PTMAP号‘PTMAPN’。
另外,因为没有一个PGI管理多个信道的需要,所以无需图5中的节目类型‘PG_TY’中的子字段‘Channel_Ns’。而是应该在PGI中分配用于写入相关流的信道号的附加字段。
在与多信道流相关的PGI中新分配的这个信道号字段中写入特殊的代码,比如‘0’。
上述的多信道流记录方法和装置使得有可能在记录在记录介质上的多信道流中选择性地搜索和再生各个子流,从而改善了诸如数字视频记录器的记录机的使用方便性。
在不脱离本发明的精神和范围的情况下,对于本领域的技术人员,很显然本发明可以有各种改进和变化。因此,本发明涵盖各种改进和变化,只要这些改进和变化落入所附权利要求及其等同物的范围内。

Claims (24)

1.一种在记录介质上记录多信道的方法,包括以下步骤:
(a)记录由属于多个信道的子流构成的多信道流,并把所记录的流组合成单个的流对象;以及
(b)为包含在组合成单个流对象的所记录的多信道流中的每个子流创建搜索信息,并把所创建的搜索信息记录在记录介质上。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,所述的步骤(b)还为所述的单个流对象创建单个的节目信息和同子流数目一样多的单元信息,并记录在记录介质上。
3.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,除用于每个子流的单元信息外,所述的步骤(b)还为所记录的多信道流创建一个单元信息。
4.根据权利要求3所述的方法,其特征在于,所述的搜索信息包括类型字段,所述类型字段指示相关的流是单流还是多信道流。
5.根据权利要求2所述的方法,其特征在于,所述的节目信息包括用于写入所述多个信道的数目的字段。
6.根据权利要求2所述的方法,其特征在于,所述的节目信息包括用于写入所创建的单元信息的数目的字段。
7.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,所述的步骤(b)还为单个的流对象创建单个的节目信息和单个的单元信息,并记录记录介质上。
8.根据权利要求7所述的方法,其特征在于,所述单个的单元信息包括关于所述步骤(b)中创建的每个搜索信息的信息。
9.根据权利要求8所述的方法,其特征在于,所述单个的单元信息还包括关于所述步骤(b)中为多信道流,而不是为子流创建的搜索信息的信息。
10.根据权利要求9所述的方法,其特征在于,所述的搜索信息包括类型字段,指示相关的流是单个的子流还是多信道流。
11.根据权利要求7所述的方法,其特征在于,所述的单元信息包括用于写入所述多信道流中包含的多个信道的数目的字段。
12.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,所述步骤(b)还为所述单个流对象中包含的每个子流创建一对节目信息和单元信息。
13.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其特征在于,除了每个子流的节目信息和单元信息外,所述步骤(b)还为所记录的多信道流创建一对节目信息和单元信息。
14.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其特征在于,所述的搜索信息包括类型字段,指示相关的流是单个的子流还是多信道流。
15.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,所述步骤(b)还为所述单个的流对象创建至少一个节目信息和至少一个单元信息,并记录在记录介质上。
16.根据权利要求15所述的方法,其特征在于,所述的节目信息包括类型字段,指示相关的流是单个的子流还是多信道流。
17.根据权利要求15所述的方法,其特征在于,所述的单元信息包括类型字段,指示相关的流是单个的子流还是多信道流。
18.一种在记录介质上记录多信道的装置,包括:
数据接收机,接收数字广播信号的至少一个RF信道,以输出由属于所选择的多个子信道的子流构成的多信道流;以及
记录装置,在记录介质上记录所述的多信道流,将记录的流合成为单个的流对象,为记录的流中包含的各个子流创建搜索信息,并把所创建的搜索信息记录在记录介质上。
19.根据权利要求18所述的装置,其特征在于,所述的记录装置还为所述单个的流对象创建单个的节目信息以及与子流数目一样多的单元信息,并记录在记录介质上。
20.根据权利要求19所述的装置,其特征在于,除用于每个子流的单元信息外,所述的记录装置还为所记录的多信道流创建一个单元信息。
21.根据权利要求18所述的装置,其特征在于,所述的记录装置还为所述的单个流对象创建单个的节目信息和单个的单元信息,并记录在记录介质上。
22.根据权利要求18所述的装置,其特征在于,所述的记录装置还为所述单个流对象中包含的每个子流创建一对节目信息和单元信息,并记录在记录介质上。
23.根据权利要求22所述的装置,其特征在于,除了每个子流的节目信息和单元信息之外,所述记录装置还为所记录的多信道流创建一对节目信息和单元信息。
24.一种用于记录数字数据流的记录介质,包括:
多信道流,包括属于多个信道的子流,所述多信道流被合成为单个的流对象;
为所述流对象中包含的各个子流创建的多个搜索信息;以及
为所述单个流对象中的多信道流创建的至少一个节目信息和至少一个单元信息。
