Abstract

Description

实体层自动重复要求
技术领域
本发明有关一种无线通讯系统。更明确地,本发明是有关一种运用一实体层(PHY)自动重复要求(ARQ)方案来对该系统实施的修饰。
背景技术
提出在使用一高速向下连结封包存取(HSDPA)应用时,利用单一载波-频域等化(SC-FDE)或正交分频多重(OFDM)方法的宽频固定无线存取(BFWA)通讯系统。这种应用将以高速度来发送向下连结封包数据。在BFWA中,一建筑物或整群建筑物是藉助无线式或有线式互相连接,且作为一单一用户站地运作。这种系统的数据量需求极大,使单一站多重用户者需要大频宽。
目前提出的系统是运用一第二层自动重复要求(ARQ)系统。无法成功发送至用户的封包将缓冲暂存且自第二层再次发送。储存于第二层中的数据区块典型地较大、以高信号信噪比(SNR)接收而被发送、藉助一低区块误差率(BLER)被接收且不常被重新发送。此外,第二层ARQ发出信号通常较为缓慢,而需要大的缓冲暂存器及长的再次发送间隔。
发明内容
因此,亟需具有除了第二层ARQ系统以外的变型。
一实体层自动要求重复系统包括一发送器及一接收器。所述发送器处的一实体层发送器是接收数据且将所述接收到的数据格式化成具有一特殊编码/数据调变的数个封包。所述实体层发送器包含n个频道,以发送所述封包及相应未接收到一给定封包的一相对应确认信息而再次发送封包。所述发送器中的一适应性调变及编码控制器是收集再次发送的统计且使用所述收集到的统计来调整所述特殊编码/数据调变。所述接收器具有一实体层n-频道接收器,以接收所述封包。所述接收器包含一n-频道混合ARQ组合器/解码器,且所述ARQ组合器/解码器是用于组合封包发送、解码封包及检测封包误差。所述接收器包含一确认信息发送器,用于当一封包具有一可接受误差率时,发送对于该封包的一确认信息。所述接收器包含一依序(in-sequence)输送元件,以将可接受的封包输送至较高层。

具体实施方式
图1A与图1B是分别显示一向下连结实体ARQ 10与一向上连结实体ARQ20。
向下连结实体ARQ 10包括自设于网络14中的较高层ARQ发送器14a接收封包的一基地台12。来自较高层ARQ发送器14a的封包将施加至基地台12中的实体层ARQ发送器12a。实体层ARQ发送器12a是藉助一前向误差校正(FEC)编码、附加误差检查序列(ECS)、藉由适应性调变及编码(AMC)控制器12c导引且使用二元相移键控(BPSK)、正交相移键控(QPSK)、或m元正交振幅调变(亦即16-QAM或64-QAM)来调变数据。此外,对于正交分频多重存取(OFDMA),实体层AMC控制器12c可改变用于运载封包数据的子频道。实体层ARQ发送器12a是藉由开关、循环器(circulator)或双工器12d以及天线13,而经由空气界面4发送封包至用户单元16。倘若必要时,实体层ARQ发送器12a亦暂时地将需要再次发送的信息储存至包含于实体层ARQ发送器12a中的一缓冲暂存存储器内。
用户单元16的天线15是接收封包。封包是经由开关、循环器或双工器16b而输入至实体层ARQ接收器16a中。封包将在实体层ARQ接收器16a中被FEC解码且使用ECS检查误差。实体层ARQ接收器16a接着将控制确认可信息ACK发送器16c,以确认(ACK)接收到具有一可接受误差率的一封包、或着藉由较佳地抑制一确认信息信号或发送一负确认信息(NAK)来要求再次发送。
ACK是藉ACK发送器16c、经由开关16b及天线15而发送至基地台12。ACK是藉由空气界面4而发送至基地台12的天线13。接收到的ACK是由该基地台内的一ACK接收器12b处理。ACK接收器12b是将ACK/NAK输送至适应性调变及编码(AMC)控制器12c以及实体层ARQ发送器12a。AMC控制器12c将利用接收到的ACK的统计来分析连接至用户单元16的频道品质,且可改变后续信息发送的FEC编码及调变技术,这将于后作更详细说明。倘若用户单元16确认了接收到的封包,则在基地台12处接收到该ACK时将清除暂时储存于一缓冲暂存存储器中的原始封包,以准备提供次一封包使用。
倘若未接收到任何ACK或接收到一NAK,则实体层ARQ发送器12a将再次发送原始信息或原始信息的选择性修饰型式至用户单元16。倘若可取得,则在用户单元16处,再次发送将与原始发送组合。藉由使用数据备援或选择重复组合,这种技术将有助于接收一正确信息。具有一可接受误差率的封包将传送至较高层16d,以实施更进一步处理。该可接受的接收封包是以与提供至该基地台内实体层ARQ发送器12a的数据者相同的数据顺序输送至较高层16d(亦即依序发送)。再次发送的最大次数是限制于譬如介于1至8范围中的一使用者定义整数值。当已尝试最大次数的再次发送后,将清除该缓冲暂存存储器以提供次一封包使用。在该实体层处解码使用小型封包的一确认信息,将可缩短发送延迟及信息处理时间。
由于PHY ARQ是发生于该实体层处,因此一特定频道发生的再次发送次数、再次发送统计将可作为该频道品质的一良好度量基准。使用该再次发送统计,AMC控制器12c将可改变该频道的调变及编码方案,如图2中所示。此外,该再次发送统计可组合譬如区块误差率(BER)及区块误差率(BLER)等其他链结品质度量基准,藉由AMC控制器12c来测定该频道品质且判定是否需要变更调变及编码方案。
为了阐明SC-FDE,可测量发生于一特定频道的再次发送,以产生再次发送统计(60)。关于是否变更调变方案的一决策是利用再次发送统计来实施(62)。倘若再次发送过量,则利用通常使数据传送速率降低的一更强健编码及调变方案(64)。AMC控制器12c可增加扩展因数且使用更多码来传送封包数据。另一选择或附加地。该AMC控制器可由一高数据处理能力调变方案切换至一较低者,譬如由64元QAM至16元QAM或QPSK。倘若再次发送率较低,则切换至一较高容量的调变方案,譬如由QPSK至16元QAM或64元QAM、(66)。该决策较佳地是利用再次发送率及譬如BER或BLER等由该接收器传讯的其他链结品质度量基准两者、(62)。该决策的限制是由系统操作者设定。
对于OFDMA,再次发送的发生是用于监测每一子频道的频道品质。倘若一特定子频道的再次发送率或再次发送率/链结品质指示出不良品质,则可在OFDM频率集合中选择使该子频道无效(64),以排除在某些未来时间周期中使用这种不良品质的子频道。倘若再次发送率或再次发送率/链结品质指示出高品质,则可将先前已无效的一子频道加回OFDM频率集合(66)。
使用再次发送的发生作为AMC基础,将可提供每一使用者弹性定匹配调变及编码方案、与平均频道状况。此外,再次发送率是对测量误差以及来自用户单元16的报告延迟不敏感。
向上连结实体ARQ 20本质上是相似于向下连结实体ARQ 10且包括一用户单元26,在该用户单元中,来自较高层28的一较高层ARQ发送器28a的封包是发送至实体层ARQ发送器26a。信息是经由开关26d、用户天线25、及空气界面4而发送至基地台天线23。AMC控制器26c可相同地藉助使用一频道的再次发送统计来改变调变及编码方案。
相似于图1A中实体层ARQ接收器16a的实体层ARQ接收器22a是判定是否具有一可接受误差率而需要再次发送。确认信息发送器将向用户单元26报告状态,而使实体层ARQ发送器26a再次发送、或另一选择为清除暂时储存于实体层ARQ发送器26a处的原始信息以准备自较高层28接收次一信息。成功接收的封包将发送至网络24以作进一步处理。
尽管为了简化而未显示出,但该系统较佳地是用于一BFWA系统中的一HSDPA应用,然而亦可使用其他实施。该BFWA系统可使用分频双工或分时双工SC-FDE或OFDMA。在这种系统中,基地台及所有用户皆位于固定位置中。该系统可包括一基地台及众多用户单元。每一用户单元可服务譬如在一建筑物中或数个相邻建筑物内的多个使用者。这些应用将因一用户单元站具有众多终端使用者,而典型地需要一大的频宽。
配置于这种系统中的一PHY ARQ是可由譬如媒体存取控制器(MAC)等较高层穿透。结果。PHY ARQ可结合譬如第二层等较高层ARQ使用。在这种情况下,该PHY ARQ将在较高层ARQ上方减少再次发送。
图3是用于一PHY ARQ30的一N-频道停止及等待结构的附图。实体层ARQ发送功能38可根据其使用向下连结、向上连结、或两者的PHY ARQ而设置于基地台、用户单元、或两者中。数据区块34a是来自于网络。网络区块是置于一伫列34中,以在空气界面43的数据频道41上发送。一N-频道排序器36是将区块的数据依序地发送至N个发送器40-1至40-n。每一发送器40-1至40-n皆连结数据频道41中的一发送序列。每一发送器40-1至40-n皆以FEC编码且提供区块数据ECS,以产生封包来AMC调变且在数据频道41中发送。该FEC编码/ECS数据是储存于发送器40-1至40-n的一缓冲暂存器中,以用于可能的再次发送。此外,控制数据是由PHY ARQ发送器38发送出,以使在接收器46-1至46-n处的接收、解调及解码同步。
N个接收器46-1至46-n中的每一个皆是接收其相关时间槽中的封包。该接收到的封包将发送至一各别的混合ARQ解码器50-1至50-n(50)。混合ARQ解码器50将判定该接收到的封包的譬如BER或BLER等误差率。倘若该封包具有一可接受的误差率,则将释放该封包至较高阶层以作更进一步处理,且一ACK将由ACK发送器54发送出。倘若误差率是无法接受或未接受到任何封包,则将不发送出任何ACK或将发送出一NAK。具有不可接受误差率的封包将缓冲暂存于混合ARQ解码器50处,而可能在后续中与一再次发送的封包组合。
使用加速码(turbo code)来组合封包的一方法如下。倘若接收到的一加速编码封包具有一不可接受的误差率,则将再次发送该封包数据以有助于编码组合。包含相同数据的封包是不相同地编码。为了解码该封包数据,将由该加速解码器处理两封包,以复原原始数据。由于第二封包具有一不同的编码,因此其软符号(soft symbol)将映射至解码方案中的不同点。使用具有不同编码的两封包将增加编码区隔及发送区隔,以改善总BER。在另一方法中是传输发送相同信号。两接收到的封包是利用一最大比率的符号组合来组合。接着再解码该组合信号。
每一接收器46-1至46-n的ACK是在一快速反馈频道(FFC)45中传送。快速反馈频道(FFC)45较佳地是一低延迟时间频道。对于一分时双工系统,可在上游与下游发送之间的无功周期中发送ACK。FFC45较佳地是覆盖其他同频带发送的一低速度、高频宽分码多重存取(CDMA)频道。选择FFC CDMA码及调变,以使对其他同频带发送的干扰最小化。为了增大这种FFC45的容量,可使用多重码。
ACK接收器56是检测ACK且指示相对应的发送器40-1至40-n是否已接收到ACK。倘若未接收到ACK,则将再次发送封包。再次发送的封包可藉由AMC控制器12c、26c的指引而具有一不同的调变及编码方案。倘若已接收到ACK,则发送器40-1至40-n将自缓冲暂存器中清除先前封包且接受一后续封包以实施发送。
发送器及接收器的数量N是根据譬如频道容量及ACK相应时间等各种设计考虑为基础。对于上述的较佳系统而言,较佳地是利用一2-频道结构,且具有偶数与奇数个发送器及接收器。
相较于仅使用较高层ARQ的一系统,较佳具体实施例的PHY ARQ技术是提供一7db增益的信号信噪比(SNR)。这是因为其操作于较单独实施较高层AQR者更高的区块误差率(BLER)(5%至20%BLER)且使用更小的第一层区块尺寸。减低的SNR需求允许:藉由运用一适应性调变及编码(AMC)技术切换至高阶调变以增大容量;藉由使用较低阶RF(无线电频率)组件及藉PHY ARQ补偿减低的实施性能以降低用户端设备(CPE)成本;增加向下连结范围而扩大胞元(cell)半径;减少基地台(BS)中的向下连结功率以使胞元-胞元干扰最小化;以及当运用一多重载波技术时,增加功率放大器(PA)回退(back-off)。
虽然本发明已参照当前的具体实施例来描述,但是本技术领域中的普通技术人员应当认识到,以上的实施例仅是用来说明本发明,在没有脱离本发明精神的情况下还可作出各种等效的变化和修改,因此,只要在本发明的实质精神范围内对上述实施例的变化、变型都将落在本发明权利要求书的范围内。

Claims (31)

1.一种用于在一无线通讯系统中调整数据调变的方法,该方法包括:
在一发送器处接收数据以发送至一接收器;
将所述接收到的数据格式化成数个封包以发送至所述接收器,其中每一所述封包皆具有一特殊编码/数据调变;
将所述封包发送至该接收器;
在所述接收器处接收所述封包;
对于每一所述接收到的封包,倘若所述接收到的封包具有一可接受误差率,则将在一实体层处使用一快速反馈频道产生且发送一确认信息;
倘若未接收到所述封包的一确认信息,则将在所述发送器处再次发送所述接收到的封包;
收集再次发送的统计;及
使用所述收集的再次发送统计来调整每一所述特殊编码/数据调变;其中如所述收集的再次发送统计显示一低数目的再次发送,则一较高容量的编码/数据调变方案将被选择作为所述特殊编码/数据调变;且如所述收集的再次发送统计显示一高数目的再次发送,则一较低容量的编码/数据调变方案将被选择作为所述特殊编码/数据调变。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于所述特殊编码/数据调变是前向误差校正编码/数据调变。

一接收器,其具有:
一实体层接收器,用于解调所述封包;
一混合ARQ组合器/解码器,用于缓冲暂存、解码、及检测封包错误差;及
一确认信息发送器,当某一所述封包具有一可接受误差率时,发送该封包的一确认信息。

14.如权利要求13所述的系统,其特征在于所述特殊编码/数据调变是一特殊前向误差校正编码/数据调变。
15.如权利要求13所述的系统,其特征在于所述封包是使用一正交分频多重存取空气界面来发送,且该特殊前向误差校正编码/数据调变调整是在一正交分频多重存取集合中除了选择的无效子频道以外处执行。
16.如权利要求13所述的系统,其特征在于所述封包是使用具有频域等化的一单一载波空气界面来发送。
17.如权利要求13所述的系统,其特征在于所述确认信息是在一快速反馈频道上使用一分码多重存取空气界面发送。
18.如权利要求13所述的系统,其特征在于还包括倘若某一所述接收到的封包具有一不可接受误差率,则将在所述接收器处发送所述封包的一负确认信息。
19.一种运用宽频固定无线存取的通讯系统,其包括:
一顺序器,具有用于自网络接收数据区块的一伫列,以依序地传递封包至n个发送器;
一目标装置,具有n个接收器,每一所述接收器皆连结该n个发送器其中之一;
n个混合ARQ解码器,每一所述解码器皆耦合所述n个接收器其中之一;
该n个发送器依序地经由一数据频道发送至其相关的n个接收器;
该n个混合ARQ解码器具有一反馈频道,以将确认信息发送至其相关的发送器而控制再次发送,以及当已接收到一可接受误差率封包时,提供一确认信息信号至其相关的发送器;及
该n个混合ARQ解码器是将具有一可接受误差率的释放封包,
其中该通讯系统收集再次发送统计,且使用所述被收集的再次发送统计为各该个发送器调整一特殊编码/数据调变;如所述收集的再次发送统计显示一低数目的再次发送,则一较高容量的编码/数据调变方案将被选择作为该特殊编码/数据调变;且如所述收集的再次发送统计显示一高数目的再次发送,则一较低容量的编码/数据调变方案将被选择作为所述特殊编码/数据调变。
20.如权利要求19所述的通讯系统,其特征在于每一该n个信号发送器皆将业已发送的一封包暂时地储存于一缓冲暂存存储器中;及
当该n个发送器其中之一接收到来自一相关混合解码器的一确认信息信号时,将清除该储存的封包,以准备接收另一区块。
21.如权利要求19所述的通讯系统,其特征在于每一所述n个发送器皆将业已发送的一封包暂时地储存于一缓冲暂存存储器中;及
当该n个发送器其中之一未能接收到来自其相关解码器的一确认信息信号时,将再次发送暂时储存于其缓冲暂存存储器中的所述封包。
22.如权利要求19所述的通讯系统,其特征在于倘若所述n个发送器其中之一在一最大次数再次发送后仍未自其相关解码器接收到一确认信息,则将清除其缓冲暂存存储器。
23.如权利要求19所述的通讯系统,其特征在于一最大数目再次发送是由一操作者定义的介于1至8范围中的整数。
24.如权利要求19所述的通讯系统,其特征在于需要一再次发送的所述n个接收器其中之一是将一再次发送封包与一原始发送封包组合,以有助于误差校正。
25.如权利要求19所述的通讯系统,其特征在于未能自一相关解码器接收到一确认信息信号的一发送器是运用一编码技术来编码该封包,其中所述编码技术是不同于该封包一原始发送中所运用的。
26.如权利要求19所述的通讯系统,其特征在于该n个发送器是运用加速编码,且该解码器是运用一原始发送与一再次发送的编码的组合,以有助于误差校正。
27.如权利要求19所述的通讯系统,其特征在于该n个发送器其中之一是包含于一基地台中,且该n个接收器是包含于一用户单元中。
28.如权利要求19所述的通讯系统,其特征在于所述n个发送器是包含于一用户单元中,且该n个接收器是包含于一基地台中。
29.如权利要求19所述的通讯系统,其特征在于所述封包是使用一正交分频多重存取空气界面来发送,其中一正交分频多重存取集合中的数个频率子频道可选择性地无效。
30.如权利要求19所述的通讯系统,其特征在于所述封包是使用具有频域等化的一单一载波空气界面来发送。
31.如权利要求19所述的通讯系统,其特征在于所述确认信息是在一快速反馈频道上使用一分码多重存取空气界面发送。
