Abstract

发光二极管光源
技术领域
本发明主要涉及照明源,特别是涉及使用发光二极管(LED’s)的照明源。
背景技术
发光二极管作为光源具有许多优点。然而在过去,发光二极管仅已在专用光源如车辆制动灯,和其它与车辆相关的照明设备以及最近作为闪光信号灯方面获得应用。在这些在前应用中,发光二极管通常以平面方式被安装在设置以垂直于显示区的单一平面中。发光二极管平面阵列通常不用于提供照明,而是用于提供信号。
在将发光二极管光源用作照明源方面近来很少有尝试,并且从一般照明观点上来看通常是不能令人满意的。
非常希望提供一种使用发光二极管的光源,所述光源提供足够的光输出,以致可被用作一般照明源,而不是被用作信号源。
将发光二极管的应用限制在专业信号源和受限制的一般照明源的范围内的一个问题在于:发光二极管一般会产生大量的热。除非该热量被消散掉,否则该热量会使得发光二极管内部温度升高,从而造成发光二极管的老化或毁坏。
因此,进一步希望提供一种可有效地将热量从发光二极管中传导出去的发光二极管光源。
发明内容
根据本发明的原理,提供一种改进的光源。所述光源包括具有外表面的细长的导热构件。在所述细长构件的外表面上含有多个发光二极管。至少一些发光二极管被设置在第一平面中且其它所述发光二极管被设置在与所述第一平面不同延的第二平面中。在所述细长的导热构件上含有电导体且所述电导体与所述多个发光二极管相连接以向那里提供电能。所述细长的导热构件将热量从发光二极管中传导出去。
根据本发明的一个方面,本发明的一个说明性实施例使用发射白光的发光二极管。然而,本发明的其它实施例可使用具有不同颜色以产生单色光或可选择颜色以产生白光或其它颜色光的发光二极管。
根据本发明的另一个方面,所述细长的导热构件将热量从发光二极管中传导到所述细长的导热构件内的介质中。在本发明的该说明性实施例中,所述介质是空气。
根据本发明的另一个方面,所述细长的导热构件具有一个或多个翼片以增强向所述介质的传热。
根据本发明的另一个方面,所述细长的导热构件包括管。在本发明的一个实施例中,所述管具有多边形形状的截面。在本发明的另一个实施例中,所述管具有包括多个平面部分的截面。
根据本发明的另一个实施例,所述细长的导热构件包括通道。
根据本发明的原理,所述细长的导热构件可包括挤出件,且所述挤出件可以是具有高导热性的材料,例如铝。
在本发明的一个优选实施例中,所述细长的导热构件为管状构件。该管状构件具有多边形截面。然而,其它实施例可包括具有三角形截面的管状构件。
在本发明的一个实施例中,在所述细长的导热构件的表面上包含有柔性电路;所述柔性电路包括电导体。
在本发明的另一个方面中,所述柔性电路包括多个用于容纳所述多个发光二极管的孔。每一个发光二极管被设置在相应的一个孔中并被固定,与所述细长的导热构件导热接触。
所述细长的导热构件包括设置在其中在流动通道中的传热介质。
可包括至少一个用于将所述细长的导热构件安装到固定装置中的夹子。

具体实施方式
根据本发明原理所述的光源可被用作装饰照明元件或可被用作普通照明设备。如图1所示,根据本发明的光源100包括一个细长的导热构件或散热器101。细长的散热器101由能够提供极好导热性的材料制成。在本发明说明性的实施例中,细长的散热器101是一个管状铝制挤出件。为改善光源100的散热性能,细长的散热器101被构造用以提供对流散热和冷却。从图2中可更清楚地看到,管状散热器101是中空的并且具有内腔103,所述内腔包括一个或多个散热翼片105。所示翼片105为三角形,然而该翼片105也可具有其它形状。翼片105在细长的散热器101的内部整体成形。在该说明性的实施例中,借助介质102移动通过细长的散热器101而提供对流冷却。在该说明性实施例中所使用的介质是空气,但是在一些应用中,也可以使用空气之外的其它流体,以提供更强的散热和冷却。
细长的散热器101的外表面107具有多个设置在其上的发光二极管109。在该说明性实施例中,每一个发光二极管109包括提供较高的光输出的发射白光的发光二极管。每一个发光二极管109还产生大量热,所述热量必须散出以避免发光二极管发生热损坏。通过将多个发光二极管109结合到散热器101上,提供一种可被用于一般照明的具有较高的光输出的光源。
设置导电通路129以将发光二极管109连接到电连接器111上。该导电通路可被设置在设置在外表面107上的一个电绝缘层131或多层上。在如图所示的该说明性实施例中,可通过一个或多个永久设置在表面107上的柔性印刷电路113设置该导电通路和绝缘层。从图6更易于看出,印制电路113包括带有导电通路129的电绝缘层131。根据本领域的技术人员的理解,在柔性印刷电路113上设置导电通路的其它装置具有以范围从360度到180度的多种取向安装到其上的发光二极管109,以及根据用途可能还有其它装置。电连接器111被设置在印制电路113的一端。连接器113可连接到独立电源上以接收电流。在该说明性实施例中,柔性印刷电路113上涂覆有一层可灌有光反射材料的不导电的环氧。用导热环氧将柔性印刷电路113附着在管101上,以有助于将热量从发光二极管109传送至管101。柔性印刷电路113具有用于容纳发光二极管109的安装孔134,使得发光二极管109的背面与所述管表面107热接触。
在该说明性实施例中的管状散热器101成形为多边形形状,并且可具有任意数量的侧面。虽然在该说明性实施例中的管状散热器101为挤出铝件,但是管状散热器101可包含其它导热材料。可根据特定发光二极管的布局和瓦数改变翼片105的个数和位置。在一些实例中,可将翼片加到管状散热器101的外表面上。此外,可在管状散热器上加上孔以增强热流动。
光源100被安装到固定装置中并通过装配夹121,123被保持在适当的位置处,如图3,4和5可清楚地看到。成形出每一个装配夹,以接合并保持光源100。每一个装配夹被固定在灯具的一个表面122,124上。
虽然图中所示光源100包括细长的管状散热器,但是也可以使用其它挤出成形的细长构件,例如管道。
在该说明性实施例中,利用借助空气流动通过管状散热器101而形成的对流冷却,使得冷却或未被加热的空气从散热器下端进入管状散热器101并从上端作为受热气体被排出。在具有较高瓦数的光源中,可使用其它流体而不是空气作为冷却介质。特别是,可使用对流热量泵送以从散热器内部除去热量。
在本发明的一个特别有利的实施例中,本发明的光源可被构造以替代用于装饰用途的紧凑型荧光灯照明。
根据本领域的技术人员的理解,本发明的原理不限于使用发射白光的发光二极管。不同颜色的发光二极管可被用于产生单色光或被用于产生组合了不同颜色的光。
尽管已结合说明性实施例对本发明进行了描述,但是本发明不限于所示出或所描述的说明性实施例。在不偏离本发明的精神和范围的条件下对所示出或所描述的说明性实施例可作出的各种改动和改变对于本领域的技术人员来说是易于理解的。本发明仅受到所附技术方案的限制。

Claims (23)

1、一种光源,包括:
具有外表面的细长的导热构件;
在所述细长构件的外表面上的多个发光二极管,至少一些所述发光二极管被设置在第一平面中且其它的所述发光二极管被设置在与所述第一平面不同延的第二平面中;
所述细长的导热构件上带有的并且与所述多个发光二极管相连接以向那里提供电能的电导体;且
所述细长的导热构件被构造用以将热量从发光二极管中传导至所述细长的导热构件内所含有的流体。
2、根据权利要求1所述的光源,其中每一个所述发光二极管发射白光。
3、根据权利要求1所述的光源,其中所述流体包括空气。
4、根据权利要求1所述的光源,其中所述细长的导热构件包括一个或多个散热突出部。
5、根据权利要求1所述的光源,其中所述细长的导热构件包括管。
6、根据权利要求5所述的光源,其中所述管具有多边形形状的截面。
7、根据权利要求5所述的光源,其中所述管具有包括多个平面部分的截面。
8、根据权利要求1所述的光源,其中所述细长的导热构件包括通道。
9、根据权利要求1所述的光源,其中所述细长的导热构件包括挤出件。
10、根据权利要求9所述的光源,其中所述挤出件为铝制挤出件。
11、根据权利要求10所述的光源,其中所述细长的导热构件为管状构件。
12、根据权利要求11所述的光源,其中所述管状构件具有多边形截面。
13、根据权利要求11所述的光源,其中所述管状构件具有三角形截面。
14、根据权利要求1所述的光源,包括所述细长的导热构件的表面上带有的柔性电路,所述柔性电路包括所述电导体。
15、根据权利要求14所述的光源,其中所述柔性电路包括多个用于容纳所述多个发光二极管的孔。
16、根据权利要求15所述的光源,其中每一个所述发光二极管被设置在相应的一个所述孔中并被固定,与所述细长的导热构件导热接触。
17、根据权利要求1所述的光源,其中在其内设置的传热介质。
18、根据权利要求17所述的光源,其中所述细长的导热构件包括所述传热介质的流动通道。
19、根据权利要求1所述的光源,包括至少一个用于将所述细长的导热构件安装到固定装置中的夹子。
20、根据权利要求1所述的光源,包括设置在所述细长的导热构件的外表面上的且在其上带有所述电导体的电绝缘层。
21、根据权利要求20所述的光源,其中所述电绝缘层包括多个孔,每一个孔容纳一个所述发光二极管;且所述多个发光二极管中的每一个发光二极管被安装在相应的一个所述孔中并与所述细长的导热构件导热接触。
22、根据权利要求21所述的光源,其中每一个所述发光二极管都发射白光。
23、一种光源,包括:
具有外表面的细长的导热构件;
所述细长构件外表面上带有的至少一个发光二极管;
所述细长的导热构件上带有的并且与所述至少一个发光二极管相连接以向那里提供电能的一个或多个电导体;且
所述细长的导热构件被构造用以将热量从所述至少一个发光二极管中传导至所述细长的导热构件内所含有的流体。
