Abstract

Description

在车辆碰撞时展开的安全气囊是汽车总的安全系统的重要部分。安全气囊与座椅安全带以及其它安全系统结合降低了碰撞产生的死亡和伤害。但是,如果乘客相对于安全气囊是“非正常坐姿”,如果安全气囊不展开更好,或者如果安全气囊已经开始展开,通过排放安全气囊停止展开。一种已知方法是使用位于乘客车厢内的传感器监视乘客的位置并使用安全气囊逻辑电路在那些乘客处于非正常坐姿情况下不展开安全气囊。该方法具有几个难点:在作出展开决定的时刻和实际展开发生的时刻之间有时间延迟;以及在该时间延迟期间乘客可能已经移动更靠近安全气囊,且可能在实际安全气囊展开期间处于非正常坐姿。位于乘客车厢内的传感器在噪声、碎片、和电磁干扰的环境中运行使得对乘客的可靠探测变得困难。位于乘客车厢内的传感器通常需要一直打开,这样消耗功率。

本发明提供了一种向安全气囊展开传感器控制器或系统逻辑电路的信号,其指示安全气囊已经开始展开进入车辆的乘客车厢。此外,本发明提供了一种向安全气囊展开传感器控制器或系统逻辑电路的定时信号,其对温度和几何变化更不敏感。还有,本发明向电子逻辑系统提供了撕裂缝开口的指示,其监视安全气囊展开并控制安全气囊排放。

如图1所示,折叠的安全气囊24可能位于距安全气囊盖板42一小段距离处。此外,安全气囊盖板42提供一些为安全气囊24充气的阻力。安全气囊展开传感器控制器可接收来自安全气囊碰撞控制器的、指示安全气囊点火器28已经点火的信号。但是在安全气囊点火器点火信号和安全气囊打破撕裂缝44的时间之间所需要的时间可以变化。通过温度极限可产生变化,其通常考虑为在-40℃和+85℃之间变化。用于指示安全气囊已经开始展开的信号的另一来源,是来自安全气囊展开速率传感器34的输出。该信号的精确性可以由于噪声和振动、以及当充气首先开始时安全气囊24的不规则运动而变化。
如果乘客48处于图2所示的“非正常坐姿”,没有来自撕裂缝传感器46的实际指示,可能难以在安全气囊穿过盖板42和安全气囊冲击“非正常坐姿”乘客、如图2所示的乘客48之间区别。撕裂缝传感器46提供具体和实际的数据,该数据可由安全气囊展开传感器控制器40用来标志展开的开始。撕裂缝传感器46增加安全气囊展开速率传感器34在决定是否为安全气囊模块20排放的可靠性和功能性。
如图3所示,撕裂缝传感器46是附连到安全气囊盖板42的内侧表面52的线50。线50多次跨过撕裂缝44,且线的部分54附连到或结合到撕裂缝44的第一侧56和第二侧58。当盖板破裂且撕裂缝44通过安全气囊的向前爆裂打开时,连接到撕裂缝相对侧的线50被断开,产生由安全气囊展开传感器控制器40探测的断路。或者线50可以是光纤、或波导管。另一实施例撕裂缝传感器60在图4中示出并采用薄片62。薄片62可形成在带子64上或者结合到第一侧56并跨过撕裂缝44到达撕裂缝的第二侧58的基片上。
应当理解词语带子当涉及安全气囊展开速率传感器时,理解为包括布带、薄膜带、金属带、绳、线、或通过检测安全气囊展开速率的传感器拉出的其它轻质细长结构。
形成撕裂缝传感器46的线、光纤、或薄片可安装在安全气囊盖板表面,或可模制或结合在安全气囊盖板内或者安全气囊盖板的各层之间。线、光纤、或薄片倾向于通过撕裂缝44的打开而破裂。也可使用其它类型的缝合,只要该缝合提供指示撕裂缝打开的清晰信号。
气体发生器可采用或者固体气体发生剂或者压缩气体。撕裂缝可以使直线、曲线、I形、H形、或任何其它形状或构造。撕裂缝不需要确实撕裂,术语撕裂缝意思是包括任何打开以允许安全气囊进入乘客车厢的结构。
用于完成使汽车喇叭鸣叫的线路的结构有时放置在安全气囊盖板内侧表面上并设计成当安全气囊展开且撕裂缝破裂时破裂。但是,这些结构不用来与采用带子的安全气囊展开速率传感器结合且不向与气体发生器排气为控制关系的电子系统提供信息。
相对于撕裂缝设置以探测撕裂缝打开时间的传感器46、60当安全气囊被来自气体发生器的气体充气时打开,该气体发生器可没有带传感器而使用并可用于执行除了排放的功能。安全气囊中两阶段的第二段展开可以撕裂缝打开的时间为基础。

Claims (3)

1.一种车辆安全系统,包括:
安全气囊模块(22);
与所述安全气囊模块(22)为气体接收关系的安全气囊(24);
至少一个安全气囊展开速率传感器(34),具有附连到所述安全气囊(24)的带子(36),使得当所述安全气囊(24)被充气时,带子(36)从相对于所述安全气囊模块(22)安装的盒子(38)抽出;
安全气囊盖板(42),所述安全气囊盖板的部分形成可破裂撕裂缝(44),所述安全气囊盖板(42)设置成使得当所述安全气囊(24)被充气时,所述安全气囊(24)将破裂并通过所述撕裂缝(44);
撕裂缝传感器(46;60),相对于所述撕裂缝(44)设置以探测所述撕裂缝(44)的破裂;
连结到所述安全气囊模块(22)的排放口(30),用于从所述安全气囊模块(22)排放气体;以及
控制器(40),与所述至少一个安全气囊展开速率传感器(34)为信号接收关系,并与所述撕裂缝传感器(46;60)为信号接收关系,并与所述排放口(30)为控制关系。
2.如权利要求1所述的车辆安全系统,其特征在于,所述撕裂缝传感器(46)包括延伸跨过所述撕裂缝(44)至少一次的线(50),使得当撕裂缝(44)打开时,所述线(50)破裂并形成断路。
