Abstract

一种电连接器(1)包括绝缘本体(2)、若干导电端子(3、4)、固持板(5)及组设在绝缘本体(2)上的扣持装置(6),以将电连接器(1)牢固固持在印刷电路板上。绝缘本体(2)包括若干通孔(200)及若干与通孔(200)相通的通道(250)。端子(3、4)包括收容于相应通孔(200)的安装部(30、40)及收容于相应通道(250)的连接部(31、41)。固持板(5)组设于绝缘本体(2),且设有若干定位槽(230)以收容上层导电端子(3)。

堆叠式电连接器
【技术领域】
本实用新型是有关于一种电连接器,尤指一种具有能精确定位导电端子的堆叠式电连接器。
【背景技术】
串行技术组件协会(Serial Advance Technology Attachment,SATA)定义了一种用以将硬盘驱动器、光盘驱动器连接至印刷电路板上的接口标准(SATA)。该标准定义了两种接口,第一种为连接至线缆,第二种为安装至印刷电路板上。
具有SATA标准定义的第二种接口的连接器包括绝缘本体及若干导电端子。该导电端子收容于绝缘本体,且部分延伸出绝缘本体,以与印刷电路板达成电性连接。为了简化SATA连接器的安装,在导电端子焊脚上提供了一种针眼,可在强力插入电路板时为端子提供变形空间。
随着需求的增加,具有第二种SATA接口的连接器被越来越多使用于存储装置与印刷电路板之间的连接。业内通常会在印刷电路板上并排设置一对SATA连接器以连接一对存储装置,但是随着印刷电路板面积变小的趋势,用以安装SATA连接器的空间越来越小。
所以有必要设计一种具有改进结构的电连接器以克服上述技术问题。
【实用新型内容】
本实用新型的目的在于提供一种可减少所占用印刷电路板的空间且用以连接若干存储装置的电连接器。
本实用新型的另一目的在于提供一种具有能精确定位上层端子的堆叠式电连接器。
为达成上述目的,本实用新型的堆叠式电连接器包括绝缘本体、收容于绝缘本体的若干上层及下层端子、固持板及一对扣持装置。该绝缘本体包括横梁、一对由横梁向前延伸的舌板及一对设在底面上的凹槽。横梁包括若干通孔及设在横梁后端的若干收容槽。舌板设有若干与通孔相通的通道。上、下层端子包括收容在通孔的安装部、由安装部延伸且收容在通道的连接部及由安装部向下延伸的倾斜脚。
固持板组设于绝缘本体且包括一倾斜的基板。该基板设有若干定位槽,以定位相应的上层端子。
相较背景技术,本实用新型堆叠式电连接器具有上、下层结构,从而减小了其在电路板上所占的面积,同时可以凭借固持板结构达成精确定位上层端子的效果。

【具体实施方式】
请参阅图1至图3,本实用新型电连接器1,如堆叠式的SATA连接器1,包括绝缘本体2、收容于绝缘本体2的若干上层端子3及下层端子4、组设于绝缘本体2的固持板5及一对组设在绝缘本体2上的扣持装置6。
绝缘本体2包括用以将绝缘本体2安装至印刷电路板(未图示)安装底面21、用以与对应连接器(未图示)对接的对接面22、横梁20、一对由对接面22向前延伸的突起23、一对由横梁20两侧向后延伸的侧壁24及一对由对接面22向前延伸的上、下舌板25。横梁20设有若干纵长通孔200,另外横梁后表面设有收容槽201。纵长通孔200排布成上、下两排。上、下舌板25在其底面设有若干纵长通道250,该通道250与相应的通孔200相通。突起23内壁设有槽道230,以收容对接连接器的导轨(未图示)。侧壁24设有若干导引槽240,该导引槽240后端设有卡缘242。侧壁24下表面延伸出一对导引柱26。
上、下层端子3、4包括若干长接地端子、短信号端子,该等端子3、4设有安装部30、40、由安装部30、40前端向前延伸的连接部31、41、由安装部30、40后端向下向后延伸的倾斜部32、42及由倾斜部32、42底端向后延伸的水平焊接部33、43。其中上层端子3的安装部30及倾斜部32较下层端子4的安装部40及倾斜部42为长,而上层端子3的连接部31及焊接部33较下层端子4的连接部41及焊接部43长度一致。
固持板5包括倾斜基板50、由基板50顶端向前延伸的上盖51及一对由基板50底端向两侧延伸的弹性臂52。基板50在前表面设有若干定位槽500,用以收容相应上层端子3的倾斜部32。上盖5包括三个由其前端向前延伸的弹片510。弹性臂52包括由其前端向外延伸的倒钩520。
请参阅图4及图5,组装时,第一步,将上、下层端子3、4由后向前方向组设在绝缘本体内,同时保证端子安装部30、40收容在横梁20相应的通孔200,且连接部31、41收容在舌板5相应的通道250内。安装部30、40与横梁20的通孔200侧壁发生干涉配合,以将端子3、4牢固固持于绝缘本体2上。焊接部33、43定位于同一垂直面,以便将端子3、4焊接至印刷电路板上。
请参阅图6及图7,接着将固持板5从后侧组设于绝缘本体2,其中固持板5的弹片510收容于绝缘本体2的收容槽201。上层端子3的倾斜部收容在基板50相应的定位槽500。请参阅图8,固持板5的弹性臂52收容于侧壁24相应的导引槽240。弹性臂52的倒钩520与侧壁24的卡缘242发生干涉配合,以将固持板5牢固固持在绝缘本体2内。
请参阅图1至图3及图9至图10,最后将扣持装置6由后向前方向组设至绝缘本体2。该扣持装置6的构造及组设方法采用业内现有方法,所以在此就不详加介绍。
将电连接器1组设在印刷电路板上时,导引柱26与印刷电路板上相应孔配合,从而保证电连接器1于印刷电路板上达成精确定位。另外,扣持装置6也与印刷电路板发生干涉配合,从而将电连接器1牢固固持于印刷电路板上。

Claims (6)

1.一种堆叠式电连接器,包括绝缘本体及收容于绝缘本体的若干端子,其中绝缘本体包括设有若干通孔的横梁及向前延伸的舌板,该舌板设有若干通道,端子包括收容在相应通孔的安装部及收容在相应通道的连接部,其特征在于:绝缘本体设有上、下层结构,并且堆叠式电连接器还包括定位上屠端子的固持板。
2.如权利要求1所述的堆叠式电连接器,其特征在于:固持板包括倾斜的基板,该基板设有若干用以收容若干由上层端子的安装部延伸出的倾斜脚的定位槽。
3.如权利要求1所述的堆叠式电连接器,其特征在于:固持板设有弹片,横梁设有收容弹片的收容槽。
4.如权利要求1所述的堆叠式电连接器,其特征在于:固持板设有弹性臂,横梁设有收容弹性臂的导引槽。
5.如权利要求1所述的堆叠式电连接器,其特征在于:其中弹性臂在自由端设有倒钩,绝缘本体在导引槽后端设有与倒钩配合的卡缘。
6.如权利要求1所述的堆叠式电连接器,其特征在于:堆叠式电连接器进一步包括组设在绝缘本体上将堆叠式连接器牢固固持在印刷电路板上的扣持装置。
