Description
Bei einer Pfanne für eine Hüftgelenkendoprothese mit den Merkmalen des Oberbegriffs des Anspruchs 1
(CH-PS 4 63 016) ist bereits bekannt, daß die unterschiedlich langen, divergierenden stiftartigen Befestigungsmittel
senkrecht von der Oberfläche der Gelenkpfanne wegragen. Dabei können die Befestigungsmittel
12,7 bis 20,6 mm lang sein, wobei eine bevorzugte Länge mindestens eines stiftartigsn Befestigungsmittels »
17,5 mm ist. Aus der einzigen Figur und aus der Figurenbeschreibung läßt sich auch entnehmen, daß
diese Stifte je an einer nach außen vorspringenden Umfangsrippe auf der Außenseite der Pfanne radial
wegragen, wobei diese Rippen um 120° zueinander 4» versetzt sein sollen.
Eine einfache Anwendung des Bekannten bei einem Schultergelenk würde nicht zum Erfolg führen; denn
offensichtlich ist die bekannte Pfanne für den ErsaV? eines Schultergelenks nicht geeignet. Dies rührt unter 4'.
anderem daher, daß nicht genügend Knochenmasse am Schulterblatt vorhanden ist, um die, wie in der
Patentschrift beschrieben, angeordneten verschiedenen Befestigungsmittel im Knochengewebe zu verankern.
Ein Hinweis, daß die bekannte Pfanne für eine w Schultergelenkendoprothese angewendet werden soll,
ist in der genannten Patentschrift nicht enthalten.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, ausgehend von einer Pfanne der im Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1
genannten Art eine Pfanne zu schaffen, die aufgrund einer besonderen Anordnung der Befestigungsmittel
speziell zum Ersatz der natürlichen Schultergelenkpfanne geeignet ist.
Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe dienen die Merkmaie des Anspruchs!.
Aufgrund der besonderen geometrischen Anordnung; der Befestigungsmittel ist eine zuverlässige Verankerung der Pfanne in einem Schultergelenk realisiert.
Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der Pfanne nach der Erfindung sind in den Unteransprüchen angegeben. μ
Die Erfindung sowie vorteilhafte Einzelheiten der Erfindung sind im folgenden anhand schematischer
Zeichnungen an einem Ausführungsbeispiel näher erläutert

Die gezeigte Pfanne 1 umfaßt ein halbkugelförmiges becherförmiges Teil und eine Vielzahl von divergierenden
stiftartigen Teilen oder Stiften 2 bis 6.
Die Stifte 2 bis 6 erstrecken sich von einer Hälfte der äußeren Oberfläche des becherförmigen Teils, die von
der anderen Hälfte durch eine diametrale Ebene in Richtung des Pfeils A in F i g. 1 abgeteilt ist. Dabei
erstrecken sich die längeren Stifte 2, 3 und 4 von einer Folge benachbarter Punkte einer sich in Richtung des
Pfeils B erstreckenden radialen Mittelebene und divergieren von dieser Mittelebene im gleichen Sinne.
Die kürzeren Stifte 5 und 6 sind auf entgegengesetzten Seiten der Stiftreihe mit den langen Stiften angeordnet.
Die beiden Stifte 2 und 3 sind etwa gleich lang und bezüglich der radialen Mittelebene etwa um dieselben
Winkel geneigt, während der nächst dem Rand des becherförmigen Teils gelegene Stift 4 länger ist und eine
größere Neigung zu der radialen Mittelebene aufweist als die Stifte 2 und 3.
Weiter ins einzelne gehende Angaben zu der dargestellten Pfanne ergeben sich aus der folgenden
Maßtabelle, wobei jedem Maß ein auch in den Zeichnungen angegebenes Bezugszeichen mit einer
Zahl und einem Buchstaben zugeordnet ist, wobei die Zahl die zugehörige Figur und der Buchstabe das in der
Figur bezeichnete Maß angibt, und die Maßangaben in
(Maße in Millimetern - Maße in Klammern in Zoll)

Die dargestellten Gelenkteile werden zweckmäßig aus einer Kobalt-Chrom-Legierung hergestellt, welche jo
üblicherweise für derartige Prothesen verwendet wird. Die Pfanne kann auch aus Titan hergestellt sein und eine
hochfeste Polythen-Einlage als Lagereinsatz aufweisen. Der Lagereinsatz hat ebenfalls zweckmäßigerweise
eine halbkugelförmige Gestalt und ist mittels eines in 3Ί
einer Ringnut am Rand des becherförmigen Teils sitzenden Sprengringes gehalten. Die Teile der Schultergelenkendoprothese
können aus jedem zweckmäßigen Material, sei es Metall, Kunststoff, ein Keramikwerkstoff,
eine Legierung oder eine Kombination davon, hergestellt sein.
In der Fig. 12 ist gezeigt, in welcher Weise die Schultergelenkendoprothese eingepflanzt ist.
Die natürliche Gelenkpfanne wird unter Entfernung spongiöser Knochenteile ausgehöhlt, so daß die
künstliche Pfanne in der richtigen Stellung einzementiert oder vergossen werden kann, z. B. mit einem
Acryl-Harz oder einem anderen zweckmäßigen Bindewerkstoff. Bei richtigem Sitz umschließt die Pfanne
einen Winkel von etwa 60° zur Horizontalebene und von oben gesehen zur Ebene der Schuitergeienkaushöhlung
einen Winkel von 10 bis 13° ein.
Die Oberarmknochenprothese ist in gleicher Weise in ein im Oberarmknochenmark einpräpariertes Loch
einzementiert oder eingegossen und der Kugelkopf in der dargestellten Weise in der Pfanne aufgenommen.

Claims (6)
1. Pfanne für eine Schultergelenkendoprothese von becherförmiger, halbkugeliger Gestalt, von ί
deren Außenseite mehrere unterschiedlich lange, divergierende, stiftartige Befestigungsmittel zur
Verbindung mit dem entsprechenden Knochen mittels Knochenzementes wegragen, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, daß die Befestigungsmittel (2,3,4} von benachbart zur radialen Mittelebene der
Pfanne gelegenen Ausgangspunkten wegragen und von dieser Ebene zur gleichen Seite hin divergieren.
2. Pfanne nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Befestigungsmittel (2,3,4) zum Rand der
Pfanne (1) hin zunehmend langer werden und von der Mittelebene weg zunehmend stärker divergieren.
3. Pfanne nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Befestigungsmittel (2,3,4) eine kürzeste
Länge von etwa 12 mm und eine größte Länge von etwa 25 mm, eine kleinste Neigung von etwa 9° und
eine größte Neigung von etwa 13° gegenüber der Mittelebene aufweisen.
4. Pfanne nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß weitere, kürzere
Befestigungsmittel (5, 6) von beiden Seiten der Mittelebene wegragen.
5. Pfanne nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die weiteren Befestigungsmittel (5, 6) etwa
3 mm lang sind.
6. Pfanne nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Pfanne einen
Innendurchmesser von 19 mm und einen Außendurchmesser von 25 mm hat
