Die Erfindung betrifft eine Einrichtung zum Dämpfen der Rollbewegungen von Schiffen nach Art der Patente 227134, 227135, 227136. Nach der Erfindung sind die Wasserbehälter nicht durch eine innerhalb des Schiffes angeordnete Wasserleitung verbunden, sondern es steht jeder Behälter mit dem Außen wasser in Verbindung, derart, daß das Wasser in einer zur Schiffsbewegung verschobenen Phase zwischen dem Außen wasser und jedem Behälter hin und her strömt. Dabei lassen sich besondere Anordnungen zur Beeinflussung der Wasserbewegung und der Phasenverschiebung in verschiedenartiger Weise treffen. Ein besonderer Vorteil der neuen Einrichtung gegenüber den bekannten liegt darin, daß die quer durch das Schiff gehende Verbindungsleitung fortfällt; eine solche Leitung erfordert einen nicht unerheblichen Raum, weleher bei manchen Schiffen schwer zu beschaffen ist.The invention relates to a device for damping the rolling movements of ships according to the type of patents 227134, 227135, 227136.
