Claims (19)
1. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung einer Herzwand,
welche ein Material (16) umfasst, das auf eine Oberfläche des
Herzens aufgebracht werden kann,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Material ein biomedizinisches
Material (16) ist, das sich auf eine Vorbestimmte Grösse
ausdehnen kann, und die vorbestimmte Grösse so gewählt ist,
dass die Ausdehnung des Herzens über eine vorbestimmte Grenze
hinaus eingeschränkt wird.
2. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
Anspruch 1,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Vorrichtung eine Ummantelung
(15; 30; 40; 61; 71) umfasst, die so über die epikardiale
Oberfläche des Herzens gelegt werden kann, dass sie sich um
den Umfang reichend über das Herz erstreckt.
3. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
Anspruch 2,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Ummantelung (15; 30; 40)
ein spitzenseitiges (apikales) Ende (24; 32; 50) aufweist, so
dass wenn die Ummantelung (15; 30; 40; 61; 71) auf die
epikardiale Oberfläche aufgebracht wird, das spitzenseitige
Ende (24; 32; 50) zur Spitze (Apex) des Herzens gerichtet ist.
4. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
Anspruch 3,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das spitzenseitige Ende (32; 50)
der Ummantelung (30; 40) eine Öffnung aufweist, durch welche
die Spitze (Apex) des Herzens hervorragt.
5. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
einem der Ansprüche 2 bis 4,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Ummantelung (15; 30; 40; 61;
71) ein basisseitiges Ende (18; 31; 42; 76) mit einer Öffnung
zum Aufbringen der Ummantelung auf die epikardiale Oberfläche
des Herzens aufweist, wobei die Ummantelung so über die
epikardiale Oberfläche des Herzens gestreift wird, dass wenn
sie auf die epikardiale Oberfläche aufgebracht ist, das
basisseitige Ende (18; 31; 42; 76) der Ummantelung zur Basis
der Herzens gerichtet ist.
6. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
Anspruch 5,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das basisseitige Ende (18; 31;
42; 76) der Ummantelung (15; 30; 40; 61; 71) ferner eine
Befestigungsanordnung zum Befestigen der Ummantelung an der
epikardialen Oberfläche des Herzens umfasst.
7. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
Anspruch 6,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Befestigungsanordnung zum
Befestigen der Ummantelung (15; 30; 40; 61; 71) an der
epikardialen Oberfläche des Herzens ein um den Umfang
reichendes Befestigungselement (17; 33; 43) ist, das die
Öffnung an dem basisseitigen Ende (18; 31; 42; 76) der
Ummantelung (15; 30; 40; 61; 71) umgibt.
8. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
einem der Ansprüche 5 bis 7,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Ummantelung einen Mechanismus
(19; 22; 23; 34; 38; 54; 80) zur selektiven Einstellung der
vorbestimmten Grösse der die epikardiale Oberfläche des
Herzens umgebenden Ummantelung umfasst.
9. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
Anspruch 8,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Mechanismus zur selektiven
Einstellung der vorbestimmten Grösse der Ummantelung aus einem
Schlitz (19; 34) mit gegenüberliegenden seitlichen Rändern
(20; 21; 35; 36) besteht, wobei die gegenüberliegenden
seitlichen Ränder die vorbestimmte Grösse verringern, indem
sie näher zueinander bewegt werden.
10. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
Anspruch 9,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Mechanismus ein seitliches
Befestigungselement (22; 23; 38) aufweist, um die seitlichen
gegenüberliegenden Ränder (20; 21; 35; 36) des Schlitzes
miteinander zu verbinden.
11. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
Anspruch 8,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Mechanismus zur selektiven
Einstellung der vorbestimmten Grösse der Ummantelung ein
zwischen der Ummantelung (53) und der epikardialen Oberfläche
angebrachtes aufblasbares Element (54) ist.
12. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
Anspruch 1,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie einen kegelförmigen Rumpf aus
biomedizinischem Material (16) mit einem spitzenseitigen
(apikalen) Ende (24; 32; 50) und einem basisseitigen Ende (18;
31; 42; 76) aufweist, welcher im allgemeinen der äusseren
Geometrie des Herzens eines Patienten entspricht.
13. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 12,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das biomedizinische Material ein
elastisches Material ist.
14. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 12,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das biomedizinische Material ein
im wesentlichen nicht-elastisches Material ist.
15. Die Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 14,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das biomedizinische Material (16)
ein perforiertes Material, wie zum Beispiel ein offenmaschiges
Material, ist.
16. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 15,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das biomedizinische Material ein
maschiges Polyester ist.
17. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 16,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das biomedizinische Material
Silikongummi ist.
18. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 17,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das biomedizinische Material eine
strahlendichte Markierung aufweist.
19. Vorrichtung zur Verstärkung des Herzens nach
Anspruch 18,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die strahlendichte Markierung ein
Platindraht ist.
