Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an endotracheal cannula or a Endotracheal tube.
These cannulas or tubes usually consist of one Hose which is curved in an arc or, in the case of Cannula is bent at right angles. At one end is a Connected to the ventilator while the other end that is in the trachea of a ventilator Patient is introduced with one or more public is provided through which the ventilation medium in the trachea are inserted or removed from it can. To ensure a perfect fit in the trachea ensure is both with the cannula and with Tube in the area near the openings The ventilation medium, an inflatable, balloon surrounding the tube or cannula provided with a separate hose line is provided which be on the tube or the cannula can find or which is integrated into the wall. At the free end of this hose line is a shut-off direction provided so that a metered pressure the sealing balloon can be given to not only the perfect and different fit of the tube or to secure the cannula in the trachea, but also bring about a sealing function.
During a patient's artificial respiration general not the mucosal functions interrupted, i.e. it will be like a natural one exhaling secretions from the mucous membranes secretes that may enter the trachea can. In addition to these secretions, it can also be too Secretions of wound fluids come, in particular when using a cannula that has a cut in the trachea has been inserted.
For patients who require artificial respiration for longer generally need these breathing tubes changed at intervals, especially for hygienic reasons Establish. With each change the needle must be removed or the tube, the pressure in the sealing balloon is reduced to allow pulling out of the trachea lichen. This sealing balloon, however, acts as at the beginning thinks, on the one hand, blocking off, that is, sealing, against the inside of the body, but of course also against about secretions that get into the trachea and prevented from further advancement by the sealing balloon will. If the pressure of the sealing balloon is reduced, to enable pulling out, these are Excretion or secretions sometimes when exiting pull the cannula or tub out with, but a part can also get into the trachea and can lead to disorders or inflammation here.
The object of the invention is therefore that Endotracheal cannula or the endotracheal tube see above train that secretions or other secretions periodically or before removing the cannula or the Tube can be removed.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that as indicated in claims 1 and 2, a additional hose line is provided on a Suction device can be connected and immediately in front of the sealing balloon on the outer circumference of the cannula with a Intake opening ends.
Further refinements result from the Unteran sayings.
By means of the further provided according to the invention Hose line it is possible to get secretions that look after the insertion of the cannula or tube in front of the balloon accumulate, can be sucked off in a simple manner, and can This is done periodically to reduce inflammation in the area to avoid the sealing balloon on the trachea, or but this suction can be done when the cannula or the tube should be changed and for this purpose Relaxation of the sealing balloon is necessary.
Die Erfindung soll nachfolgend anhand von zwei Ausführungsbeispielen erläutert werden, wobei dieThe invention is based on two Embodiments are explained, the
Fig. 1 eine schematisch dargestellte Endotrachealkanüle und die Fig. 1 is a schematically illustrated endotracheal cannula and the
Fig. 2, ebenfalls schematisch dargestellt, einen Endotrachealtubus zeigt. Fig. 2, also shown schematically, shows an endotracheal tube.
The endotracheal cannula consists of a tube 1 , which is generally curved at right angles, at one end of which a connector 2 is provided for a respirator. The other end of the hose line is open, and this opening 3 serves for the entry or exit of the ventilation medium, this opening of the cannula being in the trachea of the patient to be ventilated. Be in front of this opening, a so-called sealing balloon or sealing ball 5 is provided, which is inflatable from the outside via a separate hose line 4 . This sealing balloon ensures that the cannula is properly seated in the patient's trachea and also creates a seal so that ventilation is possible. Endotracheal cannulas of this type are inserted into the trachea after a tracheal incision, and it should only be mentioned for the sake of completeness that the holder of the cannula is indicated by 8 .
In FIG. 2, an endotracheal tube is illustrated according to which is inserted through the mouth into the patient to be vented. The corresponding parts are identified by corresponding reference numerals, these being merely supplemented by a dash. The patient to be artificially ventilated is generally in bed, and this means that the tube or cannula has its outer arch turned towards the patient's back. In this area, that is to say on the outer arch and on the outer circumference of the cannula or tube, an additional hose line 6 or 6 'ends, which has openings 7 , 7 '. This hose line 6 , 6 'is connected to a suction device bar. Since these suction openings, as explained above, are located at the lowest point in relation to the patient's body position or the position of the tube or cannula in the patient, the secretions accumulating in front of the sealing balloon can be suctioned off in this way, and thus the Danger eliminated that, especially when removing the cannula or tube, these secretions can get into the trachea.
