In Fig. 1 ist ein Streichrakelgerät dargestellt, welches dazu dient, eine Fläche 11 mit einer fließ­fähigen Substanz 1 zu beschichten, wobei die Fläche 11 in Richtung des Pfeiles 17 gegenüber einer stillstehend gedachten Streichrakel 8 bewegt ist. Die Streichrakel 8 wird von einem Magnetbalken 12 angepreßt und drückt die Substanz 1 auf die bewegte Fläche 11. Anstatt die Waren­bahn, welche die Fläche 11 aufweist, zu bewegen, könnte auch die Streichrakel über einen feststehenden Tisch 10 bewegt werden oder Streichrakel und Magnet könnten zusammen verschoben werden. In Verbindung mit der Streichrakel 8 ist die Einrichtung zur Zuführung fließ­fähiger Substanz 1 gezeigt, welche im wesentlichen aus einer Druckkammer 2 besteht. Es sei ausdrücklich betont, daß diese Druckkammer 2 abweichend von den Ausführungen nach Fig. 1 bis 3 auch von der jeweiligen Rakelein­richtung distanziert sein könnte. Die Druckkammer 2 weist eine vordere Kammerwand 15 und eine hintere Kammerwand 16 auf, welche durch eine schlitzförmige, sich über die ganze Länge der Druckkammer 2 erstreckende Austrittsöffnung getrennt sind. Der Schlitz setzt sich in einzelne, um den Dosierstab 5 verlaufende gekrümmte Kanäle fort, welche mit dem Schlitz in der Druckkammer 2 eine funktionelle Einheit bilden. Diese Kanäle werden durch Stege 6 begrenzt, die beispielsweise durch die Windungen eines um den Dosierstab 5 gewickelten Drahtes gebildet sein könnten. Im Ausführungsbeispiel nach Fig. 1 ist die hintere Kammerwand 16 derart mit der Streichrakel 8 verbunden, daß sie einen vorderen Stauraum für die Substanz 1 definiert. Das Ausführungsbeispiel nach Fig. 2 ist insofern unterschiedlich, als dort eine magnetisch angepreßte Rollrakel 7 die Streichrakel 8 ersetzt und überdies durch die vordere Kammerwand 15 der Flüssig­keitsvorrat nach vorne begrenzt wird.
