Description
- L'invention concerne la réunion en blocs de feuilles imprimées, en particulier pour constituer des calendriers à feuillets mensuels imprimés au préalable.
- A cet effet, on connaît déjà, d'après le brevet français 1 604 324 au nom de la demanderesse et ses deux certificats d'addition 2 075 854 et 2 082 540, un procédé permettant d'assembler les feuillets imprimés sans utilisation de colle par réactivation des résines contenues dans l'encre par chauffage et pressage de ces feuillets. Selon les documents en question, on empile les feuillets assemblés entre les plateaux d'une presse chauffante sous une légère pression de 2 à 4 kg/cm2 comme indiqué dans ces documents, soit 2 x 105 à 4 x 105 Pa (2 à 4 daN/cm2).
- Cependant, la lenteur du procédé ne permet pas en général d'intégrer celui-ci en ligne avec les opérations qui précèdent (l'assemblage des feuillets imprimés) ou qui suivent cette phase de travail, à moins de ralentir exagérément ces dernières d'une façon peu rentable.
- Par ailleurs, tous les papiers ne sont pas avérés utilisables pour la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé, notamment les papiers poreux.
- Egalement, certaines encres, du fait de leur mode de séchage, - soit par évaporation de solvant (encres hélio), - soit par accélération du processus sous rayons infra-rouges ou ultraviolets, perdent la possibilité de réactiver leur pouvoir adhésif et donc d'être utilisables par ce procédé.
- Le but de l'invention est d'éliminer les inconvénients précédents en réalisant une adhérence encore améliorée, mais surtout avec une cadence de pressage de l'ordre de la seconde.
- L'invention consiste, dans la mise en oeuvre du procédé rappelée ci-dessus, à combiner:
- - l'utilisation d'une encre courante offset ou typo à polymérisation naturelle à l'air,
- - l'utilisation d'un papier couché d'une microporosité correcte pour retenir en surface les agents de collage de l'encre afin d'assurer l'adhésion, et à utiliser au cours du pressage entre plateaux chauffants une pression de 100 x 105 à 250 x 105 Pa (100 à 250 daN/cm2).
- D'autres particularités de l'invention apparaîtront dans la description qui va suivre d'un exemple de mise en œuvre.
- Le papier utilisé est un papier couché, mat ou brillant, dont la microporosité mesurée par le test de maculage sur appareil I.G.T. avec l'encre 3800 Lorilleux, donne les résultats suivants à la mesure de densité optique de maculage:
- . après 15 secondes de 0,30 à 0,80
- . après 60 secondes de 0,10 à 0,60
- Ces papiers sont imprimés à l'aide d'une encre courante pour offset ou typo à polymérisation naturelle à l'air, c'est-à-dire non activitée par ultraviolets.
- Pour assembler les douze à quatorze feuillets que comporte habituellement un calendrier, ou encore deux calendriers de sic feuillets, imprimés sur un papier couché de 100 à 140 g/m2, on met en oeuvre une pression de 150 x 105 Pa (150 daN/cm2). Cette pression peut varier avec l'étendue de la surface à thermocoller, en raison de la variation de la dispersion de chaleur, et l'état de surface des papiers, qui peuvent être mats, brillants ou toilés.
- Cette pression minimum peut ainsi être largement dépassée et atteindre 200 x 105 à 250 x 105 Pa (200 à 250 daN/cm2).
- Cependant, les risques d'adhésion du calendrier avec l'outil de pressage font qu'il convient d'utiliser la pression minimum compatible avec les paramètres indiqués ci-dessus. Nataurellement, on peut reculer ces limites en enduisant les outils de pressage d'un film anti-adhérent tel qu'un film de silicone.
- La cadence de production peut atteindre un pressage par seconde. Pour une telle cadence on peut en outre augmenter, si on le désire, la vitesse de production en pressant plusieurs calendriers superposés, mais à la condition d'introduire entre eux des intercalaires chauffants ou chauffés.
- Enfin, la pression élevée utilisée peut être combinée d'une manière connue avec un gaufrage ou rainurage complémentaire des outils de pressage afin de produire par exemple une ou plusieurs ner- vurations à profil sensiblement trapézoïdal, ce qui non seulement augmente beaucoup la pression d'adhérence sur les flancs du trapèze, mais en outre augmente la raideur de la tête du calendrier obtenu.
