Abstract

A razor having a razor blade unit with a razor blade fixedly disposed in a plastic housing, and also having a handle, on the front end of which the razor blade unit is pivotably mounted via a forked holder that can be opened and closed. The razor blade unit, starting from a spring-loaded neutral position, is pivotable about a pivot axis that extends parallel to the cutting edge of the razor blade. To provide a pivot head razor where the razor blade unit can execute only slight pivot movements relative to the handle during the shaving process, the pivot axis of the forked holder extends in the region of the cutting edge of the razor blade.

Description

The invention relates to a razor consisting of a razor blade unit, in which a razor blade is embedded in a plastic housing, and a handle, at the front end of which the razor blade unit by means of an openable and closable fork holder, starting from a spring-loaded zero position around the cutting edge of the razor blade parallel pivot axis is pivotally mounted.

Shavers in which a razor blade unit is interchangeably and pivotably mounted at the front end of a handle by means of a fork holder are known. In such swivel-head razors, the fork holder of the handle engages in the middle of the underside of the razor blade unit, the razor blade unit being able to be pivoted on both sides of this zero position, starting from a spring-loaded zero position within a swivel range of 60 ° to 70 °.

Due to the large distance between the swivel axis of the fork holder of the handle and the cutting edge of the razor blade, a large torque is generated during the shaving process, which leads to unsafe guidance of the razor blade and, consequently, to a risk of cutting by the user. In addition, the unstable application of force from a zero position in both directions leads to different contact pressures depending on the swivel angle.

In addition, with the conventional razors, the razor blade unit is always stored in the middle on the handle, which leads to unsafe guidance, as is the play that is inevitable between the bearing bore and the journal.

Proceeding from this, the object of the invention is to create a swivel-head razor with fewer swiveling movements of the razor blade unit with respect to the handle during the shaving process.

As a technical solution, the invention proposes that the pivot axis of the fork holder extends in the region of the cutting edge of the razor blade.

A trained according to this technical teaching swivel head shaver has the advantage that the torque occurring during the shaving process is significantly reduced by the arrangement of the pivot axis in the cutting edge of the razor blade, so that the resulting pivoting movements during the shaving process are relatively low. This has the particular advantage that the razor blade unit adapts exactly to the contour of the face.

In a razor with a double razor blade, the pivot axis of the fork holder preferably extends in the area of the cutting edge of the foremost razor blade.

The pivot axis preferably runs in front of the cutting edge of the razor blade and is arranged somewhat below the plane of the razor blade. This results in optimal shaving properties of the swivel head razor, since this is a stable guide. The force is applied through the handle at the level of the force reduction on the blades. The pivot axis can also be arranged below a front guide bar.

In a further development, the razor blade unit is mounted on the fork holder in the area of the side walls of the plastic housing. In this way, there is a storage lying far outside, which leads to a safe guidance.

The fork holder is preferably designed as a spring mounted in the handle, in particular a wire spring, which has an actuation area for the fingers of the user to disengage the spring from the razor blade unit. This poses represents a technically very simple possibility for locking the handle with the razor blade unit, in particular thereby enabling simple one-hand operation by the user.

In a preferred embodiment of this spring for the fork holder, this has a U-shaped base element, the front leg ends of which have fork arms lying in the plane of the base spring element and projecting outwards, which are engaged with their front ends in corresponding recesses in the razor blade unit and the bearing points define. The U-shaped base spring element enables a simple disengagement of the fork holder on the razor blade unit by pressing the legs of this base spring element together, so that the front ends of the fork arms pivot inwards. The front ends of the fork arms are each preferably S-shaped in the plane of the spring and form trunnions. This bend allows the fork holder of the handle to be inserted into the inside of the razor blade unit in a simple manner, so that the bearing points can be brought into close proximity to the foremost cutting edge in a technically very simple manner.

In a preferred development, the razor blade unit has a stop for the zero position corresponding to the fork holder, against which the zero position spring presses the razor blade unit and the razor blade unit can only be pivoted in one direction, preferably backwards, starting from this zero position. A U-shaped spring, a leaf spring, a leg spring or the like made of plastic or metal can be provided as the so-called zero-position spring. The zero-position spring is preferably arranged at the rear, upper end of the handle and is supported on the rear underside of the razor blade unit. In any case, this zero-position spring presses the razor-blade unit into the zero-position position, from which the razor-blade unit can only be pivoted in one direction. The swivel range of the razor blade unit is preferably 15 ° to 30 °. Together with the close arrangement of the swivel axis on the Cutting edge of the razor blade results in an optimal design of the razor with regard to its shaving properties, since the one-sided pivoting movement ensures a constant optimal contact pressure, which is not dependent on a central position.

An embodiment of a razor with a razor head in the form of a razor blade unit is shown in the drawings. The drawings show:
  • Figure 1 is a perspective view of a razor blade unit before inserting the double razor blade from above into the plastic housing.
  • FIG. 2 shows the razor blade unit from FIG. 1 after inserting the double razor blade and after wrapping it with wire and before pushing on a U-shaped cap from behind onto the plastic housing;

Teile davon sind in den Fig. 4 und 5 dargestellt.1 to 3, the various phases of the assembly of a razor blade unit 1 are shown, while Fig. 6 shows a schematic sectional illustration of a complete shaving apparatus 2, in which the razor blade unit 1 from FIGS. 1 to 3 is attached to the front end of a handle 3. This handle 3 or parts thereof are shown in FIGS. 4 and 5.

The razor blade unit 1 consists of a one-piece plastic housing 4. This has a front guide bar 5, two side walls 6 and a blade platform 7 on the inside.

In this plastic housing 4 of the razor blade unit 1, a double razor blade consisting of the two razor blades 8,8 'is inserted from above through an opening 9 formed in the plastic housing 4. For this purpose, the two razor blades 8, 8 'are attached to a flat, elongated, cuboid spacer 10 in such a manner that the spacer 10 is sandwiched between the two razor blades 8, 8'. The razor blades 8,8 'and the spacer 10 thus form a so-called razor blade / spacer unit 11. The spacer 10 is somewhat longer than the two razor blades 8,8', so that the spacer 10 slightly over the ends of the razor blades 8, 8 'survives. Corresponding to these projections, the blade platform 7 of the razor blade unit 1 has a recess 12 on both sides in the region of the side walls 6.

As indicated in Fig. 1, the razor blade / spacer unit 11 is placed from above in the direction of arrow P in the plastic housing 4 on the blade platform 7. Subsequently, as can be seen in FIG. 2, the plastic housing 4 is wrapped with wire 13 together with the razor blades / spacer unit 11 used.

Since so far the razor blades / spacer unit 11 is only loosely inserted into the opening 9 of the plastic housing 4 and is only held by the wire 13, a special fixation of the razor blades / spacer unit 11 must be provided within the plastic housing 4. A cap 14 with an essentially U-shaped cross-sectional profile is used for this purpose. The cap 14, which extends over the entire length of the plastic housing 4, has a latching device 15 on the upper side. This consists of end-side latch arms 16 which each have a latch 17 at their front ends. Corresponding to these locking lugs 17, the plastic housing 4 each has a locking recess 18.

As can be seen in Fig. 2, the cap 14 is pushed in the direction of arrow P 'from behind onto the plastic housing 4 such that the locking lugs 17 of the cap 14 snap into the recesses 18 in the plastic housing 4. This finished assembly state of the razor blade unit 1 is shown in FIG. 3. Because the top of the cap 14 rests on the razor blade / spacer unit 11, the latter is fixed firmly on the blade platform 7 of the plastic housing 4.

To form a razor 2, a handle 3 is provided for the razor blade unit 1. This has a special fork holder 19 at its front end, by means of which the handle 3 can be snapped into the razor blade unit 1.

This fork holder 19 consists of a spring 20 in the form of a wire spring. This is shown in FIG. 4 on its own without the handle 3. This spring 20 initially consists of a U-shaped base spring element 21, the front leg ends of which are bent vertically outwards and form fork arms 22. The front ends of the fork arms 22 are bent in an S-shape and form bearing pins 23.

Nach Loslassen kehren die Lagerzapfen 23 wieder in ihre Ausgangsstellung zurück.FIG. 5 shows how the spring 20 of the fork holder 19 is arranged in the front area of the handle 3. The base of the U-shaped base spring element 21 is fixed within the handle 3 in such a way that the legs extend forward. The fork arms 22 come to lie in a T-shaped extension 24 of the handle 3. As can be seen in FIG. 5, the legs of the basic spring element 21 are exposed in the front area. As a result, actuation areas B are formed so that the bearing pins 23 of the spring 20 can be pivoted inwards toward one another by compressing the legs of the base spring element 21. This is indicated by the arrows P˝. After releasing the bearing pins 23 return to their starting position.

Furthermore, a so-called zero-position spring 25 can be seen in FIGS. 4 and 5. In the exemplary embodiment shown, this is designed as a leaf spring made of plastic or metal and is mounted with its lower end in the handle 3. Instead of being designed as a leaf spring, it can also be designed as a U-spring, as a leg spring, etc. The technical meaning of the zero position spring 25 will be explained later with reference to FIG. 6.

To attach the handle 3 to the razor blade unit 1, the journals 23 are first pivoted inward in the manner described. As a result, the fork holder 19 can be inserted into the razor blade unit 1, as can be seen in particular in FIGS. 3 and 6. The razor blade unit 1 is each provided in the region of its side walls 6 with a recess 26 into which the bearing pins 23 of the fork holder 19 engage after the spring 20 has been released. As can be seen in particular in FIG. 6, the pivot axis S defined by the bearing pin 23 lies in the region of the cutting edge 27 of the front razor blade 8, ie the pivot axis S runs in front of this cutting edge 27 parallel to it and somewhat offset below the plane of this front razor blade 8 As can also be seen in FIG. 6, the zero-position spring 25 presses the razor blade unit 1 forward against a stop 28 inside the plastic housing 4. During the shaving process, the razor-blade unit 1 can thus only be pivoted backwards against the force of the zero-position spring 25, the pivoting range being between 15 ° and 30 °.
