Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a guide tube for a mobile monitoring sensor.
The invention applies, in particular, for surveillance, by means of a video camera pushed by compressed air into a tube, of any room or enclosure, for example for ensuring surveillance in the corridors of the metro.
If the production of such a tube does not pose any particular problem for short distances, it is not at all the same when the lengths are long and even very long up to several kilometers. Indeed, we then have to solve very large problems of expansion, deformation, etc. which make it impossible to propel a sensor by compressed air.
The present invention therefore aims to provide a guide tube for a mobile monitoring sensor which allows proper operation in a very high temperature range: of the order of - 30 ° C up to + 50 ° C, and for indefinite distances. The tube showing no deformation or expansion.
A subject of the invention is therefore a guide tube for a mobile surveillance sensor powered by compressed gas, characterized in that it consists of two parts, one of which comprises a rear face and two perpendicular wings forming a U-shaped section and of which a second which forms a front plate inserted between the free ends of the two said wings, said first part being made of high extruded organic polymer, the rear face and the two said wings being honeycombed.
Advantageously, said first part is made of polyvinyl chloride loaded with about 5% glass.
In the particular application where the mobile sensor is a video camera, said front plate is made of a polymer having an optical transmission quality close to that of glass.
According to another characteristic, at least one of the two said wings is provided on its internal face, with a polyvinyl chloride plate fitted longitudinally on its internal face with at least one flat electrical conductor allowing routing, to a position of processing of an electrical signal supplied by said mobile sensor, provided with contact wipers.
- Figure 1 is a section of the guide tube according to the invention.
- Figure 2 shows a staple for connecting two successive tube sections.
Referring to Figure 1, there is seen in section a guide tube according to the invention. Such a guide tube is used to guide a mobile surveillance sensor, for example a video camera which is propelled into the guide tube by a gas under pressure.
This tube is produced in two parts: a first part 1 made of a high extruded organic polymer, advantageously of polyvinyl chloride loaded with about 5% glass. This first part comprises a rear face 2 and two perpendicular wings 3 and 4 forming a general U-shaped section. This first part is dimpled, in its rear face 2 as well as in its two wings 3 and 4. The dimples are in the direction longitudinal of the extrusion, thus producing
Thanks to this honeycomb structure, there is no deformation of the tube with temperature variations.
The connections between two successive sections of tube are made by plastic parts with hooks which are pressed into the cells of the ends of the two tubes to be connected. These parts, not having anything particular, were not represented. In addition, outside, at the connections between two sections, there is a connection staple shown in FIG. 2.
This staple is placed "astride" the tubes at their jointing.
The
The
- C.C.D. I.R. (Thermographie - mesure de températures), etc....The guide tube of the invention can also be used with different sensors:
- electromagnetic or inductive sensor for detecting metallic mass,
- γ, β and α ray sensor (detection of radioactivity),
- CCDIR (Thermography - temperature measurement), etc ...
There are many applications: surveillance and identification: in the metro, at the SNCF, on the road network, in tunnels, department stores, hospitals, prisons, etc.
