- Plug connector for flat ribbon cable (3), having a unitary housing upper part (1) of insulating material, in which a plurality of parallel guide channels (4) for contact elements having insulation-piercing devices (5), and a transverse slot (2), which passes through the guide channels, and in which the flat ribbon cable (3) is slidably arranged, and with a housing lower part (10) which consists of insulating material in which are also arranged a number of parallel guide channels (11) for contact elements, whereby the insulation-piercing devices (5) of the contact elements in the housing upper part (1) are integrally connected to flat blades (6) located in the same plane and arranged in the guide channels (4), and whereby the contact elements in the housing lower part (10) are arranged in the guide channels (11) and constructed as fork-spring contacts (12) as well as arranged at right angles to the flat blades (6), and whereby the flat blades (6) and fork-spring contacts (12) engage over one another and make contact with one another in a all-round closed, through contact channel (14) which is formed by the mutually crossing guides channels (4, 11) of the housing upper and lower parts (1, 10).
- Plug connector according to claim 1, characterised in that on at least one narrow side of the flat blades (6) there is provided a barb (7) for an anti-slip connection with the housing top part (10).
- Plug connector according to claim 1, characterised in that on the narrow sides of the forked spring contacts (12) there are provided barbs for an anti-slip connection with the housing top part (10).
- Plug connector according to claim 1, characterised in that adjacent forked spring contacts (12) are provided with solder contacts (13) arranged offset to each other.
- Plug connector according to claim 1, characterised in that in a side wall (15) of the housing top part (1) there is arranged at least one window (16) and in a side wall (18) of the housing bottom part (10) situated underneath there is arranged at least one snap-in lug.
- Plug connector according to claim 1, characterised in that the transverse slot of the housing top part (1) has its opening enlarged with inclined surfaces.
- Method for assembling a plug connector according to claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the ribbon cable (3) introduced into the transverse slot (2) of the housing top part (1) is contacted in one stage with the insulation piercing connecting devices.
