Definitions
- the present invention relates to a switch connector for a strip connector on electronic circuits, in particular on data bus boards for the control of machines, the strip connector consisting of a socket strip for receiving the contact blades of a male connector.
- Data bus boards are functional elements in electronic data processing circuits that control the data transport between individual circuit components such as microprocessors and input or output elements.
- electronically controlled machines it is necessary, depending on the specific use of the controlled machine, to adapt universally applicable data bus boards to the machine components to be controlled and, in particular, to open, close or short-circuit data channels depending on the specific circuit requirements.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a switch connector for a strip connector on electronic circuits, in particular for data bus boards, which automatically builds up a short circuit bridge between at least two connections of the electronic circuit as soon as the male connector, which correspondingly connects z. B. to an external control component is removed.
- Fig. 1a the side view of a connector according to the DIN 41612 standard is shown in sections.
- the strip body 1 receives the rigid contact pins 2, which lead to the external connection.
- the contact pins 2 are in electrical connection with the sockets 21 inserted in the base body 11.
- the base body 11 made of plastic material is arranged with the support elements 4 on the strip body 1.
- the mounting and guide elements 3 correspond to the known functional parts for fixing the sockets 21, which receive the knife contacts (not shown) through the funnel-shaped openings 5 for connection to an external circuit.
- a connector according to the partial illustration is usually equipped with 96 contacts.
- FIG. 1b (section along line AB in FIG. 1a) has a U-shaped profile, on the bottom of which a pair of resilient elements 211, 212 is attached below the funnel-shaped openings 5 in the area of the press-in zone , which serves the resilient reception of the inserted knife contacts.
- a sheet 211 of the resilient elements 211, 212 is extended in each case by the formation of switching tabs 41 in such a way that the switching tabs extend in the area between the press-in zones of the two sockets overlap.
- the contact elements 31 specified in the main claim are formed by the resilient elements 211, 212 and the switching lugs 41.
- the switching lugs 41 are pressed apart by inserting the knife contact between the resilient elements 211, 212, so that no electrical contact can arise between them as long as the male connector is inserted. As soon as the resilient elements 211, 212 are relieved of the spreading knife contact, the switching lugs 41 come into contact with one another, as shown in FIG. 1b, as a result of which a short-circuit bridge is built up between the adjacent sockets.
- the sockets 22 for connecting the inserted knife contacts to the contact pins of the printed circuit board are formed by the band-shaped, spring-mounted legs 221, which have an S-shaped in their head region Have a bend to accommodate the knife contact. Furthermore, the sockets 22 are widened in their head region by the switching lugs 222. These switching lugs protrude in the direction of the adjacent socket via a metallic contact insert 223 attached between the sockets in the insulating housing, and in the case of sockets 22 spread by an inserted blade contact, the switching lugs 222 are bent away from the contact inserts 223 in such a way that no electrical contact between them can arise. However, if the knife contact is removed, the contact between the switching lugs 222 and the contact insert 223 closes, so that the short-circuit bridge is formed between the adjacent sockets.
- the switch connector according to the second embodiment can be modified depending on the desired properties of the circuit connection in such a way that for certain pairs of sockets Contact inserts 223 are removed from the base body in order to prevent the formation of a short-circuit bridge if necessary.
- the contacting of two adjacent sockets shown using the exemplary embodiments can in principle also be applied jointly to a large number of sockets.
- the use of the switch piece according to the invention is also possible with socket strips which contain only one pair of sockets.
Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a switch connector for a strip connector on electronic circuits, in particular on data bus boards for the control of machines, the strip connector consisting of a socket strip for receiving the contact blades of a male connector.
Data bus boards are functional elements in electronic data processing circuits that control the data transport between individual circuit components such as microprocessors and input or output elements. With electronically controlled machines, it is necessary, depending on the specific use of the controlled machine, to adapt universally applicable data bus boards to the machine components to be controlled and, in particular, to open, close or short-circuit data channels depending on the specific circuit requirements.
In a large number of applications, it results in particular that certain circuit parts of the data bus boards are to be short-circuited as soon as an external control component has been decoupled by removing the commonly used knife-strip connector. So far, this short circuit could e.g. can be realized by male connectors, which are attached to the circuit board instead of the connector which establishes the connection to the external control component and which contain special short-circuit lines between the individual male contacts.
The object of the present invention is to provide a switch connector for a strip connector on electronic circuits, in particular for data bus boards, which automatically builds up a short circuit bridge between at least two connections of the electronic circuit as soon as the male connector, which correspondingly connects z. B. to an external control component is removed.

In Fig. 1a, the side view of a connector according to the DIN 41612 standard is shown in sections. The strip body 1 receives the rigid contact pins 2, which lead to the external connection. The contact pins 2 are in electrical connection with the
Somit werden die im Hauptanspruch angegebenen Kontaktelemente 31 durch die federnden Elemente 211, 212 und die Schaltfahnen 41 gebildet.1b (section along line AB in FIG. 1a) has a U-shaped profile, on the bottom of which a pair of
The switching lugs 41 are pressed apart by inserting the knife contact between the
According to the exemplary embodiment of the switch plug according to the invention shown in FIGS. 2a-2c, the
The switch connector according to the second embodiment can be modified depending on the desired properties of the circuit connection in such a way that for certain pairs of sockets Contact inserts 223 are removed from the base body in order to prevent the formation of a short-circuit bridge if necessary.
The contacting of two adjacent sockets shown using the exemplary embodiments can in principle also be applied jointly to a large number of sockets. In addition, the use of the switch piece according to the invention is also possible with socket strips which contain only one pair of sockets.
