Abstract

Eine Abgasreinigungsvorrichtung für ein verbrennungsmotorisch angetriebenes Kraftfahrzeug umfaßt ein Gehäuse (3) und mindestens einen darin unter Zwischenschaltung mindestens eines nachgiebigen Lagerelements (2, 2', 2'', 12) gelagerten, im wesentlichen zylindrischen Abgasreinigungskörper (1). Das Gehäuse umfaßt einen rohrförmigen Lagerabschnitt und zwei hieran endseitig angeschlossene Übergangskonen (5) und ist mindestens in einer sich im wesentlichen senkrecht zur Längsachse (7) erstreckenden Ebene geteilt. Der Lagerabschnitt ist zumindest bereichsweise sich in Richtung auf die Teilungsebene hin konisch erweiternd ausgebildet. Und der zwischen dem mindestens einen Abgasreinigungskörper (1) und dem Lagerabschnitt des Gehäuses (3) bestehende, zumindest teilweise von dem Lagerelement (2, 2', 2'', 12) ausgefüllte Ringraum (11) erweitert sich zumindest bereichsweise in Richtung auf die Teilungsebene.

An exhaust gas cleaning device for a motor vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine comprises a housing (3) and at least one essentially cylindrical exhaust gas cleaning body (1) mounted therein with the interposition of at least one flexible bearing element (2, 2 ', 2'', 12). The housing comprises a tubular bearing section and two transition cones (5) connected at the end thereof and is divided at least in a plane extending substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (7). The bearing section is at least partially designed to widen conically in the direction of the division plane. And the annular space (11) which exists between the at least one exhaust gas cleaning body (1) and the bearing section of the housing (3) and is at least partially filled by the bearing element (2, 2 ', 2'', 12) widens at least in some areas in the direction of the Division level.
