Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum berührungslosen Fixieren eines Tonerbildes innerhalb eines elektrofotografischen oder verwandten Druckverfahrens auf Papier (1). Zur Fixierung wird Heißgas mit einem wesentlichen Anteil Wasserdampf verwendet, dem das Tonerbild ausgesetzt wird. Die Vorrichtung enthält einen im wesentlichen geschlossenen Raum (3), der das gerade in der Fixierzone befindliche Tonerbild umgibt.
