- Blood and plasma samples currently have information banks on the history of donors' health which are stored in fixed computer systems and which are accessible from labels containing a bar code read by a laser reader; these labels are affixed on the sampling bags and on the corresponding test specimens. Any additional information must be affixed with a new label also including a bar code; thus the same pocket can contain several labels containing a bar code giving access to one or more centralized databases.

Centrifugation can cause deterioration of the container by the electronic chip or its flexible support which injures the wall of the container; humidity or heat can cause labels to peel off; the plastic material constituting the container may be sensitive to components of certain adhesives which migrate through the walls, which implies determining a method of fixing as a function of the environmental constraints which the container must subsequently undergo. We describe below a certain number of fixing methods likely to be retained.
