Definitions
- the invention relates to an actuating device for a Safety device in a vehicle and an assembly consisting of a Safety device and such an actuator.
- Actuators of this type have hitherto generally been considered as compressed gas-operated piston-cylinder units or electric drives executed.
- Piston-cylinder drives are inflexible and mostly bulky because of them must have a straight running path for the piston.
- An important The prerequisite for use for a safety device is the response time, i.e. how quickly can the actuating device reach the protective device activate that the protective effect occurs.
- the inertia is more moved Parts against. This obstacle is often attempted by over-dimensioning to compensate for the drive, thereby reducing the space and weight of the Actuator are increased.
- the invention provides an actuator with a small footprint, which can be flexibly accommodated in the vehicle and a very short one Has response time.
- a pneumatic muscle becomes a fluid-powered one Actuator understood, such as in the DE 195 31 097 A1 is described.
- the pneumatic muscle consists of one Hose body, which is surrounded by a shell with a net-like structure. When pressure is applied to the tube body, this is radial Expansion resulting in a network structure of the shell Contraction of length of the muscle leads.
- An actuator with one Such a pneumatic muscle can react very quickly when triggered because in contrast to a piston-cylinder drive, no piston mass accelerates must become.
- the pyrotechnic gas generator is a fraction of a second can develop sufficient gas at the required pressure Safety device activated very quickly by the actuating device be so that in the event of an accident the protective effect is timely and effective can be unfolded.
- the pneumatic muscle is flexible so that the Actuator in the vehicle can be bent during assembly and thus also attached to hard-to-reach places and also curved can be relocated.
- FIGS. 1a to 1e show an assembly according to the invention with a Safety device 10 and an actuator 12 in successive phases of the activation of the safety device 10 see.
- the assembly is in an instrument panel 14 of a vehicle built-in.
- the contours of the upper body are schematically one Vehicle occupants 16 shown, the instrument panel 14 out is leaning forward.
- the safety device 10 consists in the illustrated Embodiment of a gas bag module with a folded gas bag 22 and a main gas generator 24, which are accommodated in a housing 26.
- the Housing 26 has an opening that faces the vehicle occupant 16 and through a Cover flap 28 is closed.
- the cover flap 28 in be carried out in different ways, for example as in the illustrations in the instrument panel 14 integrated, as a separate cover on the Instrument panel mounted or as part of the housing 26.
- the actuating device 12 has a pneumatic muscle 30 which with one end on the cover flap 28 and the other end for example on a frame support 32 of the vehicle or on the housing 26 of the Airbag module can be attached.
- a secondary gas generator 34 is advantageously arranged in the vicinity of the pneumatic muscle 30 and is in flow connection with this.
- the Ignited secondary gas generator 34 which generates a gas volume in the shortest possible time, which gets into the pneumatic muscle 30 and this one Longitudinal contraction causes.
- the main gas generator 24 can be ignited to the Inflate airbag 22. Since the opening of the housing 26 is now free to inflate the gas bag 22 requires a smaller amount of gas than at comparable gas bag modules, in which a cover flap due to the pressure of the unfolding gas bag must first be opened. This allows the Main gas generator 24 can be made much smaller and lighter.
- a second embodiment of the assembly according to the invention is in the Figures 2 and 3 can be seen.
- a schematically represented truck 110 with a loading surface 112 there is a load 114 with a tension belt 116 is secured.
- the two ends of the tension belt 116 are on the underside of the cargo bed 112 attached thereto and each by one of two eyelets 118 performed a jig.
- the two eyelets 118 are for tensioning the Tension belt 116 displaceable parallel to the level of the loading surface 112.
- the Clamping device can be operated from an actuating device 122 pneumatic muscle 130 and a pyrotechnic gas generator 132 actuated become.
- the ends of the pneumatic muscle 130 each connected to one of the eyelets 118.
- the pneumatic muscle 130 is pressurized so that it is in known manner contracts and thereby the eyelets 118 towards each other moves so that the tension belt 116 is tensioned.
- An additional mechanical lock can prevent the Clamping device after the pressure reduction in the pneumatic muscle 130 again solves.
- the clamping device automatically or to be actuated by manual triggering after the charging process has ended. This has the advantage that less force is used when securing the load manually must become. Will the pending in the pneumatic muscle during the clamping process Pressure measured, the measured pressure value can be used as a criterion whether the cargo is adequately secured.
- a pressure source for the pneumatic muscle can also be a possibly existing compressed air generator of the vehicle can be used during the gas generator 132 is ignited only in the event of an accident or emergency braking.
- FIG. 4 Another embodiment of an assembly according to the invention is in the Figures 4 and 5 can be seen.
- vehicle 210 for example, a station wagon with a loading area behind the seats between a passenger compartment 212, which is indicated in the figures by the Headrests is illustrated, and a loading net 220 is arranged on the loading area, that in the unused state on the vehicle roof 224, for example under the Headlining is hidden.
- the holding network 220 is one Actuator 222 connected, which consists of two pneumatic muscles 230 consists of a common or separate Gas generators (not shown) are fed.
- Each of the pneumatic Muscle 230 is attached to the vehicle body at one end.
- the pneumatic muscles 230 can be via one Traction device, for example a pull rope 232, a pulling force on the holding net Exercise 220.
- the pneumatic muscles 230 by compressed gas from the gas generator one Longitudinal contraction ( Figure 5).
- the holding network 220 is replaced by the Pull ropes 232 from its unused condition from the vehicle roof pulled down and stretched so that it holds the cargo space from the passenger compartment 212 separates and thus prevents cargo from slipping out of the hold.
- the holding network 220 can be activated before the Actuator spanned between passenger compartment 212 and cargo space be tightened so that when the actuating device 222 is triggered, to increase the protective effect against slipping cargo.
- the end fitting 316 and that Belt buckle 320 are each by a traction means, for example a wire rope 326 or a webbing that is guided over deflection rollers 328 with one Actuator 312 connected to tightening the seat belt.
- a traction means for example a wire rope 326 or a webbing that is guided over deflection rollers 328 with one Actuator 312 connected to tightening the seat belt.
- the end of the Seat belt 310 over the deflection roller 328 to the actuating device 312 to lead.
- the actuator 312 consists of a pneumatic Muscle 330 produced by a pyrotechnic gas generator (not shown) is fed.
- the traction device is still under the seat Guides 332 stabilized to avoid sagging or swinging.
- the actuation device 312 is triggered by the pneumatic muscle 330 being filled with compressed gas by the gas generator.
- the pneumatic muscle 330 thereby experiences a longitudinal contraction and exerts a tensile force F z both on the end fitting 316 and on the belt buckle 320 via the traction means. This automatically compensates for the tensile forces Fg in the seat belt 310, so that any belt looseness that may be present is evenly removed from both the lap belt section 324 and the shoulder belt section 322 of the seat belt 310.
- the reel 314 and the end fitting 316 can also be used Traction means can be connected to an actuating device, in particular then, when these two attachment points are spatially close together are.
- FIGS. 8 and 9 Yet another embodiment of the invention is shown in FIGS. 8 and 9 in the form of an assembly with a foot protection device 410 as Security device shown.
- the foot protection device 410 is in the footwell arranged of a vehicle and includes a footrest 412, which with a Actuator 414 is coupled.
- foot protection device 410 is schematically foot 416 one Vehicle occupants shown.
- the footrest 412 consists of a double Vehicle floor with a rigid outer floor part 418 and a displaceable inner bottom part 420, which are connected to one another by connecting levers 422 are.
- the outer bottom part 418 is at its front in the direction of travel Angled upward at the end and merges into a splash guard wall 424.
- the inner bottom part lies on the side of the outer side facing the foot 416 Bottom part 418.
- the link levers 422 are shown in FIG Embodiment formed as punched-outs from the inner base part 420, with its free end facing actuator 414 and the outer Bottom part 418 is attached.
- Actuator 414 has a pneumatic muscle 430 and a pull lever 432 which has a front end of the pneumatic muscle 430 connects to the inner bottom part 420.
- the rear end of the pneumatic DOs 430 is attached to the vehicle, for example on the vehicle floor or on a frame part of the vehicle body.
- the pneumatic muscle 430 is in Flow connection with a pyrotechnic gas generator 434, the pneumatic muscle 430 can feed with compressed gas.
- the pyrotechnic gas generator 434 ignited and supplied the pneumatic Muscle 30 with compressed gas, causing this to expand its cross section undergoes a longitudinal contraction.
- the pneumatic muscle 430 via the pull lever 432 a pulling force on the inside Bottom part 420, so that this towards the actuator 414 (in the Figures to the right).
- the Connecting lever 422 With this shift, the Connecting lever 422 the path of movement of the inner bottom part 420, whereby the inner bottom part 420 simultaneously extends from the outer bottom part 418 removed and thus the foot 416 of the vehicle occupant who is on the inside Floor part 420 can rest, a greater distance from the vehicle floor provides. In this way, between the vehicle floor and the foot 416 created a crumple zone.
- FIGS. 10 to 13 show two further variants of the invention Assembly shown with a foot protection device.
- they are inner and outer bottom part formed as hard foam panels, the Contact surfaces of the two bottom parts each have a congruent one Have rib structure, so that in cross section a wave profile (figures 10 and 11) or a sawtooth profile ( Figures 12 and 13).
- This has the consequence that when the inner bottom part 420 'is displaced the outer bottom part 418 'transverse to the longitudinal extent of the ribs the two Floor parts move away from each other and thus the contact surface for the foot is removed from the vehicle floor.
- FIGS. 14 to 16 show a seventh assembly of a safety device shown for a vehicle.
- This assembly is a Actuating device 500 for an engine hood 502 of one in FIG. 14 schematically shown vehicle.
- the actuator has one pneumatic muscle 530, the end of which is not shown firmly on the vehicle attached and the other end is provided with a hose head 531.
- a plurality of gas generators 532 are arranged, which are ignited can be to pressurized gas inside the pneumatic muscle 530 too conduct.
- the hose head 531 is via a tension member 534 with a knee joint 536 connected, the vehicle fixed on one side and on the other side on the Bonnet 502 is articulated. There is also a support member 538 on the hood intended.
- the pneumatic muscle 530 shortens, the Bonnet 502 through knee joint 536 from that shown in FIG Starting position in the position shown in Figure 16, stirred. On This can be done in the event of a collision with pedestrians or cyclists a larger deformation path can be provided. Setting up the Bonnet can, for example, after a contact measurement in the Front section.
- the installation of the bonnet should be reversible. After activation the operating device 500 can push the bonnet back down so that it comes to its starting position. Because several gas generators 532 are provided, of which only one in the case of actuation is ignited, the actuator is still activated after activation operational. It only needs to be used up at the next opportunity Gas generator to be replaced. This is possible with little effort, without the replace entire pneumatic muscle.
- FIG 18 is an alternative embodiment of the Actuator 500 shown using a toggle lever 540 which is slidably guided on the hood 502 at one end.
- the bonnet 502 can pivot out of the toggle lever 540 Starting position to be transferred to the set up position.
- FIGS. 19 and 20 An eighth embodiment is shown in FIGS. 19 and 20.
- a bumper 600 which by means of a Actuating device from the rest position shown in Figure 19 in the in Figure 20, activated position shown can be transferred in which it is opposite the Rest position extended by a distance A.
- an actuator 622 is used, which is a pneumatic Muscle 630 and two knee joints 636 are used, as known from FIG. 15 are. Each knee joint is fixed to the vehicle at one end and at the other end connected to the bumper 600, with a tension member 634 acting in the middle, which is connected to the pneumatic muscle 630.
- the Actuator can be designed so that this one as possible can absorb a large proportion of the crash energy through deformation. This reduces damage to the other supporting parts of the vehicle and at the same time leads to a reduction in the vehicle pulse. It just happens a small collision, e.g. contact with a post or with a Vehicle at low speed, so the device can be designed be that the energy absorbing parts of the device are easy to replace are. This reduces the repair costs.
- the pneumatic muscle can continue be designed so that it automatically turns after a minor accident due to the cooling of the propellant gases provided by the gas generator withdraws the starting position. Alternatively, the actuator can be so be carried out by the driver in the starting position can be pushed back.
- FIGS. 21 to 23 show an actuating device according to a ninth Embodiment shown, the third shown in Figures 6 and 7 Embodiment builds.
- Components are given the same reference numerals, and in this respect reference is made to the referenced above explanations.
- the pneumatic muscle 330 for tightening both the end fitting 316 and the belt buckle 320 used.
- a gas generator 359 is provided for activation (Not shown) trigger circuit is activated if necessary.
- the pneumatic muscle is not arranged below the vehicle seat, but inside it.
- the pneumatic muscle 330 is not in the area of the transition to the seat back Arranged as it is for the shortest connection with the buckle and the End fitting is appropriate, but near the front edge of the Seat near the top.
- a bead 360 on the top of the seat be generated.
- This one formed by the inflated pneumatic muscle Bead serves as an anti-submarining agent. If in addition a system for controlled ventilation of the pneumatic muscle is provided Webbing force limiting function for the area of the pelvis / lower torso be realized.
