Definitions
- the invention relates to a snowboard binding according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a bond is from the EP 1 186 328 A2 known.
- This binding has a base plate with perpendicularly projecting side cheeks, to which an intermediate element whose position is adjustable in the longitudinal direction of the snowboard binding, is attached.
- an intermediate element On the intermediate element, a pivotable heel support is attached, which is thus displaceable together with the intermediate element in the longitudinal direction of the snowboard binding.
- the intermediate element can be fastened by two screws on the side cheeks and indeed via a slot mounted therein.
- the EP 0 838 248 B1 shows a snowboard binding with a base plate, which is attachable to the top of a snowboard. From the base plate are on both sides side cheeks from above vertically to which adjustable toe and instep straps are attached and a swivel heel support, which is also commonly referred to as "highback".
- the heel support consists of two parts, namely a pivotable lower part and an upper part screwed thereto, wherein the upper part is adjustable in its position by means of oblong holes.
- the said toe and instep straps are adjustable in length to match the binding to the respective shoe. These straps are also openable for entering and exiting the binding.
- Such bindings are usually made in one or a few sizes, and it is then up to the user to adapt the binding to his shoe size by adjusting said straps.
- the relative position of the heel support to the edge of the snowboard is usually fixed, namely by threaded inserts (so-called. Inserts) in the snowboard and corresponding holes in a holding plate, which is inserted into an opening of the base plate.
- the plate has at market bonds per mounting screw either a slot or a series of holes, so that the position of the binding relative to the snowboard can be adjusted and thus the relative position between the heel support and the adjacent edge of the snowboard.
- this setting is tedious and is usually done only once during the initial assembly of the bond.
- the object of the invention is to improve the known snowboard binding to the effect that even after mounting the base plate on a snowboard, the binding can be adjusted individually to the respective boots and in particular the position of the heel support is adjustable.
- the basic principle of the invention is to hold the heel support on both sides of intermediate elements and to fasten these intermediate elements on the base plate or the side cheeks, wherein the position of the intermediate elements in the longitudinal direction of the binding is adjustable.
- the base plate facing the lower sides of the intermediate elements have a toothing and the intermediate elements facing the upper side of the base plate or the side cheeks a corresponding counter-toothing, so that a positive and yet finely adjustable adjustable connection is created.
- the base plate or the side cheeks each have at least one opening for the passage of screws, which reach through the intermediate elements. The said opening is formed as a slot.
- At least one support element is mounted on the base plate facing the underside of the intermediate elements, which engages in said opening and is supported on the side wall, which gives the connection between support elements and base plate a higher strength especially against tilting of the intermediate elements about the longitudinal axis of the binding ,
- two screws and two support elements are provided per intermediate element, wherein the base plate and the side cheeks then each have two openings.
- a tension member is attached to the intermediate elements, which is guided around the upper region of the heel element and this fixed in the closed position of the binding.
- the snowboard binding of the Fig. 1 has a flat base plate 1, of the two sides of the side walls 2 substantially stand vertically upwards.
- a instep belt 3 is arranged, which is fastened on both sides by means of toothed belts 4 and 5 on the side cheeks.
- the toothed belts 4 and 5 are threaded and can be locked, whereby the length and thus the height of the strap 3 is adjustable.
- the instep strap 3 is formed integrally here and extends substantially from the forefoot area 8 to the instep area 9 of the shoe, not shown.
- an intermediate element 11 is attached to both side cheeks 2, to which a heel support 12 is pivotally mounted via pivot bearings 13 in such a way that the heel support 12 can be pivoted to open the binding to the rear in the direction of arrow 14.
- the heel support 12 is held by a pulling member 15 in the illustrated closed position, wherein the pulling member 15 is fixed to both intermediate elements 11 and the heel support 12 engages on the outside thereof.
- Attachment points 16 for the tension member 15 may be formed as a pivot bearing and are compared to the pivot bearing 13 offset toward the forefoot 8.
- the tension member 15 is held on the heel support 12 on an eccentric lever 17, which is pivotable about a pivot axis 18. If the eccentric lever 17 is pivoted downward in the direction of the base plate 1, then the heel support 12 can be pivoted to the rear in the open position. Conversely, the binding is closed by folding the heel support and folding the eccentric lever 17.
- the toothed belt 5 may also be attached to the respective intermediate element 11 and that either, as shown by the reference numeral 5a, at the attachment point 16 for the tension member 15 or elsewhere of the intermediate element 11, for example between the attachment point 16 and pivot bearing 13, as illustrated by the reference numeral 5b.
- the associated closure device 7, 7a and 7b is always attached to the instep belt 3 and indeed pivotable so that it can be correctly aligned with respect to the toothed belt 5, 5a, 5b.
- the front toothed belt 4 and its closure device 6 are pivotally mounted on the side cheek 2 and the instep strap 3, so that the instep strap 3 can also be moved in the longitudinal direction of the binding forward and backward and thus positioned.
- the intermediate elements 11 have on their underside a toothing 19 which engages in a counter-toothing 20 on the side walls 2.
- the intermediate elements 11 can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the binding, whereby the position of the heel element 12 with respect to the longitudinal axis of the binding is adjustable. Thus, the effective length of the binding to the respective shoe can be adjusted.
- the two intermediate elements 11 are independently adjustable, whereby the heel support 12 can also be positioned obliquely.
- the heel support 12 consists in the concrete embodiment of two parts, namely a lower part 22 which is fixed to the intermediate elements 11 and an upper part 23 which is fixed to the lower part via a screw 24 through a series of holes 25 or a Slot allows different relative positions between the upper and the lower part 23 and 24, whereby also an inclination of the upper part 23 with respect to the longitudinal axis 21 is possible.
- Fig. 2 is more detailed to remove the attachment of the intermediate elements 11 on the side walls 2.
- the side cheeks here have two each up to the bottom 25 of the base plate 1 continuous slots 26 and 27, extending in the longitudinal direction extend the binding.
- the toothing 20 is mounted around the elongated holes 26 and 27, the toothing 20 is mounted.
- the intermediate elements 11 have two through holes 28 and 29 which extend through the height of the intermediate elements 11 therethrough.
- screws 30 and 31 are used, which cooperate with screw nuts 32 and 33 and possibly washers or lock washers 34 and 35, which are to be mounted from the bottom 25 of the base plate 1 ago.
- the elongated holes 26 and 27 have a widening 36, 37 from the bottom 25 forth, so that the nuts 32 and 33 and the washers 34 and 35 can be accommodated there and do not protrude beyond the bottom 25 of the base plate 1.
- the support elements 38 and 39 may be formed as separate parts and on their side facing the intermediate element 11 side have a toothing corresponding to the teeth 19. But they can also be integrally formed on the intermediate elements 11.
- Fig. 3 shows a plan view of the base plate 1 with the side walls 2. This figure is clearly the location and arrangement of the slots 26 and 27 and the toothing 20 refer.
- the base plate is fixed in a known manner by means of a mounting plate 40 which engages in an opening in the base plate on the snowboard and that via screws which engage in screw holes 41.
- this mounting plate which is also called “turntable”
- the rotational position of the bond ie, the orientation of the longitudinal axis 21 of the bond relative to the longitudinal axis of the snowboard, not shown, can be adjusted.
- Fig. 4 shows a view of the underside of an intermediate element 11 with the support members 38 and 39 and the bores 28 and 29th
- the invention is not only applicable to snowboard bindings of the type shown, in which the heel element 12 is pivoted to open the binding to the rear. Description
- Fig. 1
- eine perspektivische Ansicht einer Snowboardbindung nach der Erfindung gesehen schräg von hinten;
- Fig. 2
- eine Seitenansicht der Bindung in teilweise geschnittener Darstellung;
- Fig. 3
- eine Draufsicht auf die Grundplatte; und
