Abstract
Description
- la figure 1 représente, en vue de profil, une caisse que comporte un ensemble de conditionnement suivant un premier mode de réalisation selon l'invention ;
- la figure 2 montre une partie de la caisse représentée en figure 1 en vue de coupe suivant le plan P ;

The present invention relates to a product packaging assembly for the transport or presentation of said products, said product being capable of comprising a residual liquid.
The invention applies more particularly, but not exclusively, to the packaging of food products stored in ice or in a preserving liquid, in order to maintain their freshness and their storage duration. This is the case, for example, for fish and seafood.
Such consumer products are commonly packaged in this way to be transported from the place of production to the place of sale and then arranged by the trader on a display.
The disadvantage of such packaging is that the ice melts gradually and produces a large volume of liquid.
The liquid must be evacuated to meet certain quality standards and ensure the consumer a fresh and consumable product.
A first solution consists of transferring the products from the boxes to the other boxes containing only ice.
This first solution involves a large consumption of boxes. It then causes a relatively significant cost for the merchant.
A second solution is to completely empty the crates, to replace only consumables inside, and to add ice again.
This second solution, less expensive for the merchant than the first solution, however, is tedious and requires more time than the first solution.
In the case of crates made of polystyrene, there is another solution. The latter consists in piercing, with a contending object, a hole in the bottom of the box, so that the liquid is evacuated by gravity.
The contending object is never really adapted to this operation. The result of such a drilling is disastrous concerning the standards of conservation of the products to be respected: -
- by piercing the box containing the products, polystyrene balls are introduced into the box and mix with the product,
- the crate is no longer waterproof,
- the crate is no longer aesthetically presentable,
- and the liquid flows into the lower crates in case of stacking.
It consists of a set for the packaging of food products that may contain a residual liquid. The assembly according to the invention comprises a box having a bottom and at least one side wall. The box has at least one liquid outlet channel which is formed through the side wall. The assembly according to the invention also comprises means for controlling the flow of liquid towards the outside of the box.
Thus produced, the assembly according to the invention ensures the evacuation of the liquid without having to remove the packaged product in the box. It also ensures the control of the liquid flow, leaving the choice to the user is to maintain the product in the residual liquid, or to evacuate the residual liquid.
According to a first embodiment, the box is of polygonal section, having a plurality of side walls, and the discharge channel is formed in an angle formed between two side walls.
In this way, the boxes can be easily stored in a transport vehicle, and the residual liquid can be discharged through a side wall of the box, which allows to stack at least two boxes, and to prevent the residual liquid. a first crate does not flow inside a second crate.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the channel has a liquid inlet which is located at the junction between said bottom and the bottom of at least one side wall of the body.
Preferably, the discharge channel is made inclined relative to the plane of the bottom of the box, so that the liquid is discharged by gravity on a downward slope from the inside of the box to the outside of the box.
Thus, it is not necessary to tilt the boxes so that the liquid is evacuated.
According to a first embodiment, the control means comprise a liquid discharge duct designed to connect to the channel in a sealed manner. Advantageously, the duct is of such length that it projects from the side wall.
In this way, the liquid discharged does not flow on the side walls of boxes stacked on each other. The crates thus remain presentable.
According to a second embodiment, the evacuation duct is made integral with the body.
According to a third embodiment, the control means comprise an attached flexible sleeve whose diameter is substantially equal to that of the conduit to be connected in a sealed manner. The flexible sleeve has a length such that its free end can be raised and fixed in the up position to stop the flow of liquid.
This embodiment allows the user to control the level of residual liquid: the more residual liquid, the higher the level of liquid in the flexible sleeve.
This embodiment prevents the evacuation of the liquid if the user chooses to fix the flexible sleeve in the up position, the liquid can not rise and overflow beyond the flexible sleeve due to the principle of communicating vessels.
To do this, the length of the flexible sleeve is preferably at least equal to the height of the side wall of the body.
According to an alternative embodiment, the control means comprise a rigid and bent-shaped sleeve, having a first section connecting to the channel, and a second section allowing a user to control the flow of the liquid. The second section is advantageously rotatably mounted relative to the axis of the channel between a position where it ensures the flow of liquid to the outside of the box by gravity, and a position where it prohibits flow.
According to a first embodiment, the first section is designed to be fitted inside the channel tightly duct forming.
According to a second embodiment, the first section is designed to be fitted outside the channel around the duct.
Advantageously, it is provided that the control means comprise an element for sealing the channel.
According to a first embodiment of the shutter element, it consists of a removable plug connected to the conduit.
According to a second embodiment of the closure element, it consists of a plug which comprises a fixing ring around the conduit, the ring being connected, via a flexible spacer, to a cap nestable on the end of the conduit.
According to a third embodiment, the closure element consists of a plug connected to an element designed to be introduced through the channel into the box, without the possibility of return, the element constituting a means of retention of the plug at the crate, so as to bind the cap to the box without the cap necessarily sealing the channel.
According to a fourth embodiment of the closure element, it consists of a movably mounted plate moving in the vicinity of the channel between a position where it closes said channel and a position where it does not close said channel.
Advantageously, the box is made of a cellular material, preferably expanded polystyrene or expanded polypropylene.
Finally, the invention also provides a method for producing the assembly described above.
According to the invention, the box is made by molding and the evacuation channel is formed by introducing a core into the mold before introduction of the molding material and removal of the core during demolding.
Other features and advantages of the invention will emerge in the light of the description which follows, with reference to the appended figures among which:

It should be understood, however, that the invention is not limited to this application.
The fish are kept in ice-cold water (temperature below 0 ° C) to keep the fish at a low temperature without freezing or freezing.
The conditions of transport and storage progressively alter this conservation at low temperature. The reasons for this alteration may be the rise in temperature of the bath, or the contact with the exudates.
It is necessary to drain the icy salt water and exudates and pour into the crate a new bath of salt water ice.
The assembly according to the invention makes it possible to empty the box as many times as necessary.
The assembly according to the invention makes it possible not to have to repackage the fish. Also, it is not likely to deteriorate because of several repackaging.
