Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to emergency lights with escape route markings, which are particularly suitable for tunnels.
Fire emergency lights with escape route markings are intended to indicate in an emergency the person who is the nearest emergency exit in the tunnel and are also to ensure lighting of the tunnel and thus the escape route.
Conventional emergency lights have a housing for receiving bulbs, a lid having a safety disc on which escape symbols are mounted and which is illuminated at its rear by a light source. The rear lighting of this disc is done by means of incandescent or energy saving lamp, the lamp is constantly lit. Furthermore, a fire alarm device is provided which lights up in the event of fire and generates a light cone of a specified size in the corresponding standard. Typically, the emergency lighting fixture has a 150 W halogen spotlight that must meet the standard with I (α) ≥25 cd for α -87 ° <α <+87 °. For this light cone or light area is realized, the safety glass for the emergency light must be arched outward in the area of the emergency light.
These conventional emergency lights have significant disadvantages. If the incandescent lamp or energy-saving lamp fails to illuminate the escape route markings, the escape route identifiers are no longer illuminated and are thus no longer or only very badly visible, which can have corresponding consequences in an emergency.
The formation of a domed or domed safety disc is an expensive custom-made, which makes the emergency light altogether expensive. Furthermore, if the 150 W halogen radiator fails, the entire fire alarm system will fail.
The present invention is therefore based on the object, an emergency lighting with escape route markings, which is particularly suitable for tunnels to propose, in which the above-mentioned disadvantages are overcome, and which creates a simple and effective fire emergency, especially with increased reliability.
This object is solved by the features of patent claim 1.
The fact that the lighting means for illuminating the safety glass pane is formed from a plurality of light-emitting diodes, not only a cost-effective lighting of the escape route markings is achieved, but also avoided that in case of failure of individual LEDs, the lighting of the safety glass pane and thus the escape route markings is still present. In particular, the advantage of LED lighting is up to ten times longer life of the lamp and thus a much longer maintenance cycle for the device. The advantage can be estimated in particular by the fact that repair work in tunnels can lead to considerable traffic obstructions and should therefore be avoided as far as possible.
The fact that the emergency light is formed from a plurality of halogen lamps that generate the required light cone or light area during operation, it is achieved that no additional measures, such as buckling or crowning the safety glass is necessary. Again, here also offers the advantage that in case of failure of individual halogen lamps, the remaining halogen lamps continue to fulfill the function of emergency lighting, albeit to a lesser extent, whereas failure of the individual halogen lamps in the prior art, the function of the emergency lights fails.
The reliability of the light source for the escape route markings is advantageously achieved in particular by the fact that the LEDs are arranged so interconnected that the failure of a light emitting diode, the remaining LEDs continue to light.
This will provide good lighting through the use of high power light emitting diodes reached.
By using a constant voltage source for the light-emitting diodes, there is the advantage that in the case of mains voltage fluctuations, these do not lead to a change in the brightness of the LEDs, and thus mains voltage fluctuations are not visible. This provides the advantage that no flicker occurs in the escape route markings, and thus any distraction and uncertainty of moving in the tunnel people is avoided.
Advantageously, five halogen lamps are provided, which are arranged so that they produce a light cone with an angle of 180 °. This not only exceeds the above-mentioned standard but is the 40 ° radiation characteristic of these halogen lamps as orientation beam in the smoke also much better visible. Advantageously, instead of the 150 W halogen spotlight of the prior art, five individual 20 W halogen lamps with a diameter of 50 mm each are used.
Furthermore, it is advantageous that the lid is formed with integrated safety disc made of stainless steel and is attached to the housing so that it can be removed by unlocking a lock using security key or square opener. This prevents a cumbersome and thus time-consuming removal of the cover for maintenance purposes, in particular for replacing failed bulbs, which, as already mentioned above, in a tunnel is of particular importance.
Advantageously, the lid is constructed in the shape of a truncated pyramid, that is to say its four side walls increase in size from the front pane in the direction of the housing, as a result of which sharp edges on the front side are avoided.
Furthermore, it is advantageous that light emitting diode strips are provided, which are mounted laterally on the truncated pyramid lid of the emergency light. The power supply for these LED strips is located inside the housing. As soon as the cover is connected to the housing, the plug contacts of the cover and housing are also connected to each other via which the LED voltage from the power supply to the Led strip is led.
