IMPROVEMENT IN MEDICAL COMPOUNDS FOR LINIMENT.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 137,624, dated Api i1 8, 1873; application filed December 11, 1872.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM E. Ross, of Hornellsville, in the county of Steuben and State of New York, have discovered certain new and useful improvements in a compound pound with the hand, flannel, and sponge, producing an electric effect. I have produced almost instant relief, and in valmost every case a sure and speedy cure.
I will now proceed to describe my discovery:
Eight ounces oil amber; four ounces tincture capsicum; eight ounces spirits turpentine; eight ounces laudanum; eight ounces beefgall; eight ounces oil hemlock; eight ounces oil sassafras; four ounces tincture lobelia; four ounces oil lemon three quarts alcohol, ninety per cent.
The above is all put into one vessel together, where it can be well shaken for ten minutes or more, then filtered, and is ready for use.
What I claim as new is- The combination and specified proportions of the same, as substantially shown, and for the purpose herein described.
