My invention relates to apparatus made use of for the purpose of binding together stalks, reeds, Ste.; and the nature thereof consists in certain improvements in the construction of the same, hereinafter described and shown.

In the accompanying plate of drawings, which illustrates my invention and forms a part of the specification thereof, Figure l is a side elevation; Fig. .2, an end view 5- Fig. 3, a view of the bottom part, to `,which the feet or legs are secured.

The corrugated plate A is provided with a flange or base, c, to which are secured the rings c, which rest in slits cut in the detachable legs E. The plate B is provided with apertures, through which pass screw-bolts d, the heads of which are rigidly attached to the plate A. yThe said corrugated plate B rests upon the ange a, and is secured to the plate A by means of the nuts i upon the screw-bolts d. Stalks, reeds, Src., having been placed in the corrugations wit-hin' the plates, are held rmly together while being bound or united.

Having thus described my invention, I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The corrugated plate A, .provided with a base, a, rings c, bolts d, plate B, nuts i, and detachablelegs E, provided with slits, all combined together as and for the purposes dv scribed.
