limbs by envelopingthe same with a cover or with a container filled with water, sand, 6 mud and the like, so that these bathing means or curatives enclose the part of the body and are enclosed themselves by the envelope. The container is arranged according to the invention to be stripped over the parts of the 10 body or limbs and fitted with a packing arrangement designed to tightly pack the container also on parts of the body and limbs of varying thickness and shape.
Four embodiments of the invention are illustrated by Way of example, in the accompanying drawing, in which Fig. 1 shows in longitudinal section an apv 'paratus for treating knee-joints.

Fig. '3-shows a modified construction of a part of this apparatus.
Fig. 4 shows in longitudinal section an apparatus for the treatment of projecting limbs as hands, fingers, feet.
In the form of construction shown in Fig. 1, the container consists of an oblong hollow body a open at both ends and having in its wall a charging opening 6 and a. discharging opening 0 both adapted to be closed. The discharging openingmight be omitted, the charging opening being then used for discharging the filling mass. The diameter of the container at is so great that the part of the body, for instance the leg, to be treated can be easily pushed through the same. For packing the two open ends of the container pneumatic rings d are used, one at each end. The pneumatic rings have each a tubular connection 0 with a cock f and they are adapted to be inflated. The inflated pneumatic tube presses on its inner surface tightly against the part of the body and on its outer surface against the Wall of the container efl'ecting thus a secure packing. In order to ensure a secure seat for the pneumatic ring the two ends of the container are bulged out in semi-circle so that the pneumatic ring fills this bulged out portion 9 when having been inflated.

These rubber. cuffs are either funnel-shaped or cylindrical and they have an end flange of larger diameter as shown in Fig. 4; they expand when the container is being pulled over the part. of the body and then fit tightly on the part of the body. On the inner surface of the wall of the container projections 'h of similar circular cross section are arranged designed to bear against the part of the body. The pneumatic rin s d may be rigidly connected with the rub er cufi's g or arranged on the outer side of the rubber cufls as shown in Fig. 3. For the hot treatment of ends of parts of the body the container (1 has only one open end, constructed in a similar manner as in the other forms of construction. In this form of construction which is shown in Fig. 4 a'suf- .ficient packing may be obtained in certain cases, for instance for the treatment of fingers or hands, already by the rubber cuff 9 I claim 1. An apparatus for the hot treatment of parts of the body, comprising in combination a container open at both ends having a charging opening in its wall adapted to be closed, a funnel-shaped rubber cufl' at each end of the container, a pneumatic ring arranged under each rubber cuii, a tubular connection ofeach pneumatic ring for the inflation of said ring, and a cock on each tubular connection.
2. An apparatusfor the hot treatment of parts of the body, comprising in combination a container open at both ends having a charging opening in its wall adapted to be closed, a hood-shaped rubber cuff at each end of the container, a pneumatic ring arranged under each rubber cufl, a tubularconnection of each 95 pneumatic ring for the inflation of said ring, and a cock on each tubular connection.
3. An apparatus for the hot treatment of parts of the body, comprising in combination mo ing opening in its Wall adapted to be closed, a rubber cuff at each end of the container, a pneumatic ring fixed on said rubber cuff,
