This invention relates to an insecticide package and primarily it is an object of the invention to provide a package of this kind especially designed and adapted for use in the combating of the boll weevil and wherein the package is of a character to assure effective use of the insecticide without requiring any skill or special knowledge of the part of the user. 7

It is recognized that one of the most efiective mediums to be employed to check the boll weevil is calcium-arsenate and especially when the same is applied to the young plants in mixture with molasses together with water. In making this mixture in bulk it has been found difficult to prevent the mixture from 'souring or otherwise becoming unfit for use if not promptly used. A purpose of the present invention is to waste so occasioned and also to provide a package which will permit. a ready and eflective distribution of the insecticide to the user. r

The novel features of my invention will hereinafter be definitely claimed;

As herein disclosed, a charge 1 of cal.-

.eium-arsenate is packed within the lower 913101171011 of the container C, said charge 1 in the present embodiment of my invention occupying one-seventh of the cubic capacity of said container. At the same time this water applied within the container G acts upon the partition 2 in a manner to sufiiciently soften the same so that when the water is poured from the container G into the receptacle into which the molasses has been previously poured, the partition 2 will readily release, resulting in the charge 1 of calciumarsenate also being emptied into the receptacle so that it is assured the user will have an admixture of the calcium-arsenate, molasses and water in proper proportion. This mixture is then daubed onto the plants in the usual way.

It is to be understood that as the water and calcium-arsenate is being poured from the container C the user can readily take hold of the partition 2 as it passes from the container C, or reaches the upper portion thereof, and thereby remove the same from the desired mixture.

A package as herein embodied is of a character which permits the same to be way-readily maintained in stock and convenient- 'ly distributed to the consumer and is also of a character to assure the consumer having the most effective mixture of the desired .in redients.

%rom the foregoing description it is dhought to be obvious that an insecticide aokage constructed in accordance with my invention is particularly well adapted for useby reason of the convenience and facilit with which it may be employed, and it wi l aled be obvious that my invention is susceptibledf some change and modification without departin from the principles and spirit theme and or this reason I do not wish to o beunderstood as limiting myself to the preaciee arrangement and formation of the several parts herein shown in carrying out my 'invention in practice except as hereinafter claimed.
