Description
BACKGROUND

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] This invention relates to a stuffed toy, which is furnished with a function to operate household electrical appliances remotely.

[0003] 2. Related Art

[0004] Up to now stuffed animal toys whose arms, legs and heads move or which emit voices and lights are known. However, as they remain as a toy after all, they are left alone, as its owner gets tired of them. Also, there is a possibility that remote controllers may be broken in such cases as being lost, dropped, or stepped on as their size is relatively small.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] Objects of this invention are to provide a new type of stuffed toy which is able to prevent one from losing or breaking a remote controller and at the same time the present invention can be used for a long time as a necessity of life.

[0006] A stuffed toy comprises a flexible body and a remote controller operating area of a household electrical appliance in the flexible body.

MEANS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS

[0007] A stuffed toy of this invention comprises a flexible body and a remote controller operating area of a household electrical appliance in the flexible body. TV, Video, CS/BS tuner, audio player, air conditioner or lights etc. are examples of such household electrical appliances. Also, a flexible body is sewn into a shape of an animal and the switches of the remote controller operating area are distributed and provided in each part of the flexible body to improve the operationability of the operation parts of the remote controller without losing the original lovable character of pet in this invention of the stuffed animal toy. In this case, it is preferred to provide an infrared light irradiating plate of the remote controller operation area and a battery exchange slit in the back of the flexible body, which is in animal shape. Also, it is desirable to cover the battery exchange slit with a Velcro fastener in order to maintain the opening and closing function and not to adversely affect the attractiveness of the stuffed animal toy.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0008]FIG. 1 is a front view of a stuffed toy showing one of the embodiments of the invention.

[0009]FIG. 2 is a back view of the stuffed toy.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0010] As FIG. 1 illustrates, a stuffed animal toy in this embodiment is sewn into a shape of an animal whose flexible body 1, the body, in this case, imitates a bear. A remote controller operating area 10 is built into a trunk 2 of the flexible body 1 to control TV remotely, and switches 1116 of the remote controller operating area 10 are distributed and provided in each area of the flexible body 1 in order to make them clearly identifiable.

[0011] In short, a power on-off switch 11 is provided in the trunk 2 of the bear, a switch for increasing volume 12 is provided in the left hand 3 of the bear and a switch for reducing volume 13 is in the right hand 4 of the bear. Also, a channel up switch 14 is provided in the left leg 5 of the bear and a channel down switch 15 is in the right leg 6 of the bear. A video changeover switch 16 is provided in the left ear 7 of the bear.

[0012] Thus, a user is able to operate these switches 11-16 without any confusion. Also, since the frequently used switches 12-16, that is the volume up, volume down, channel up, channel down and video changeover switches, are provided in the extremities of the bear, the user can enjoy the sense of touch when operating the switches. Further, switches 11-16 are covered with felt pieces of a different color from the body of the bear. Moreover, switches 1116 are covered with felt pieces in different colors from the color of the body.

[0013] FIG.2 illustrates that an infrared light irradiating plate 17 of the remote controller operating area 10 is provided in the back of the flexible body 1 and the signals from the remote controller can be radiated toward the TV from the back of the bear, as one operates it with switches 1116 while facing the bear. Also, a battery exchange slit 18 is provided in the back of the flexible body 1 and this battery exchange slit 18 is covered with a Velcro fastener 19 in order to maintain its opening and closing function and not to adversely affect the attractiveness of the stuffed toy.

[0014] A stuffed toy in the accordance with the invention can have the structure of not only a toy but also a necessity of life with a high level of functionality and one can use this regularly since the flexible body 1 and the remote controller operating area 10 are as one. Also, the remote controller operating area 10 is built into the flexible body 1 which is relatively large so, in contrast, to usual cases, there is no possibility of losing the remote controller and no need to worry about breaking it even if it is dropped or stepped on.

[0015] Further, this invention is not limited to the above embodiments and it is possible to add other functions or change its shape and structure as appropriate in the range of the aims of this invention, as follows below.

[0016] (1) It can be comprised so as to emit a voice when operating the switches, being provided with a speaker in the flexible body.

[0017] (2) It can be comprised so that movable parts, such as head, arms, and legs attached to the flexible body, move when operating the switches.

[0018] (3) It can be comprised so as to emit light when operating the switches, being provided with an irradiating area in the flexible body.

[0019] (4) It can be comprised so that one can operate a household electrical appliance by the remote controller in response to the user's voice, being provided with a voice-recognition device.

[0020] (5) It can be comprised so as to notify the usage time of household electrical appliances by voice, light, or movement and cause the power switch of the household electrical appliance to be turned on automatically, being provided with a timer.

[0021] (6) It can be comprised so as to notify the user of an incoming phone call by emitting voice or light, or exhibiting movement, being provided with the receiver of a cellular phone, and can also automatically switch the TV to mute mode when a call is received.

[0022] (7) It can be comprised so as to emit voices and lights and to move its movable parts in particular situations, being provided with a receiver to receive ultrasonic signals emitted by the TV.

[0023] (8) It can be comprised so that TV transmissions can be heard through a speaker on the stuffed animal toy side, both stuffed animal toy and TV being provided with a wireless telecommunications device.

[0024] (9) As a remote controller operating area, types to correspond to any household Electrical appliance, such as video, CS/BS tuner, audio player, air conditioner, or lights etc. can be used.

[0025] (10) The flexible body can be sewn into the shape of animals such as cats, dogs, pandas, or zebras, etc.

[0026] (11) The flexible body can be sewn into the shapes of goods, such as vehicles, vegetables, or flowers etc.

[0027] According to the invention, the stuffed toy can be used as a necessity of life for a long time and prevent loss of or damage to a remote controller since a remote controller operating area of an household electrical appliance is provided in the flexible body.
