Description
- The present invention relates to an “structure improvement of the pillow”, particularly for one with features that the user head can be exactly placed on and closely supported by one annexed lateral sub-pillow completely with ear not being uncomfortably pressed during on one's side sleeping posture as well as being easily collected and carried for saving storing space.
- As we know that for having good sleep quality, other than mattress softness, warm-keeping cotton-wadded quilt and adequate ventilation effect, the pillow suitability is a key factor. Basing on the medical and clinical study, the frequency in changing the sleeping posture will reach about 20 times during one night sleeping course. Accordingly, using improper pillow, not only will make people fall asleep, but also apt to cause vertebral pathological affections, for example:
- (1) Pillow is too high: That will cause users gradually become bowing-back and crooking-neck posture, which is one chronic cause in the vertebral disease. Regardless of sleep on the back or the back side, sleeping posture will cause the muscles at vertebral both sides in asymmetrical unbalanced tension respectively that likely incurs physical phenomenon in fatigue and exhaustion, convulsion or neck-stiffness. Besides, due to oppression to the carotid arteries by bad posture, reducing the blood flow volume of brain causes the hypoxia of brain from oxygen deficiency so that the dysfunction in neural system with dizzy, dreamy, fatigable and uncomfortable side-effects after waking up may be incurred by sleeping disorder.
- (2) Pillow is too low: That easily causes too much blood flowing into the head and affects the blood circulation thereof so that the brain blood vessels are over-charged, which can make people feel dizzy after waking up especially for hypertensive who will be infected by edema of eyelid. Meanwhile, for sleeping posture of lying on one's side with one shoulder touching the bed, the muscles at vertebral both sides will be distorted in asymmetrical unbalanced tension respectively that likely incurs physical phenomenon in fatigue and exhaustion, convulsion or neck-stiffness too.
- Though, certain industry businessmen recently introduce a conventional pillow that can relatively meet with ergonomics principle, for example new model patent issued No. 480979 and the patent application published No. 200610511 in Taiwan.
- As shown in the
FIG. 1 , the primary design concept lies in segmented pillows with a centralmain pillow 1 for sleeping on one's back and two annexedlateral sub-pillows 2, which are also called as auxiliary side pillows colloquially, for sleeping on one's side, wherein said annexedlateral sub-pillow 2 is higher than said centralmain pillow 1 to offer suitable height for single side shoulder so that neck-stiffness described above and vertebral pathological affections due to crook in the torso can be avoided. - However, the cuboid-shaped design of linear array in segments of conventional pillows described above do not meet the actual shifting pattern of the sleeping posture, therefore, the practical functionality is insufficient. Namely, as shown in the
FIG. 2 , the actual shifting pattern of the sleeping posture is that when from sleeping on one's back posture changes into sleeping on one's side posture, the sleeping body turns to one side in slight crook manner, then the head H shifts in arc movement regarding buttock as the axis so that the head H is not put at onelateral sub-pillow 2 really. This is a common drawback for all the conventional pillows in straight strip segments at present. - Accordingly, having realized and addressed the existing drawbacks in the conventional products of the prior arts as well as basing on the practical experience in physical rehabilitating medical care for many years, the inventor of the present invention has undertaken R&D with prototyped sample in clinical test for a long time. Eventually, the “structure improvement of the pillow” of the present invention is successfully contrived.
- Namely, the primary object of the present invention is to provide an “structure improvement of the pillow”, which comprises a central main pillow and two lateral sub-pillows, wherein, the height of central main pillow is lower than that of the annexed lateral sub-pillow, and a pair of symmetrical skew-angled arrangement for said central main pillow and each of said two annexed lateral sub-pillows is formed in disposal; Thereby, when the user lies on one's back sleeping posture with face up changes into lying on one's side sleeping posture, the user head can be exactly placed on and closely supported by one of the two annexed lateral sub-pillows completely so that not only the sleep quality can be effectively promoted but also the sleep hinder can be completely eliminated.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide an “structure improvement of the pillow” as recited above, wherein, a sunken dent space is created on the central top of the annexed lateral sub-pillow so that the user ear will be not pressed without uncomfortable feeling.
- The other object of the present invention is to provide an “structure improvement of the pillow” as recited above, wherein, the central main pillow and two lateral sub-pillows are designed into detachably separated independent manner having a set of plural foldable mats with articulations disposed beneath and a preset collecting bag for having all the components being conveniently stored and packed therein so that not only the storing space can be saved but also the carrying method in out-of-home becomes more convenient.
