(01. 2-206 This invention relates to devices commonly 6 and in the construction of the false face, porknown as false faces, the. primary object of the invention being to provide a false face constructed in such a mannerthat it may be readily inflated or deflated by the person wearing the false face, thereby changing the contour of the false face to the amusement of persons observing the wearer of the false face.

An important object of the invention is the 10 provision of a false face of this character constructed of rubber material and formed with air pockets which may be inflated at the will of the user, deforming the contour of the face causing the false face to take irregular and abnormal lines, rendering the false face exceptionally hideousor comical.

With the foregoing and other objects in view, which will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts and in the details of construction hereinafter described and claimed, it being understood that changes in the precise embodiment of the invention herein described, may be made within the scope of what is claimed,

without departing from the spirit of the invention.

59 Referring to the drawings in detail, the false face is constructed of two sheets of rubber material of an exceptionally thin grade. The reference character l5 designates the inflating tube of the false face, and as shown this inflating tube extends into the compartment l3. This inflating tube is of a length so that it may 25 be extended into the mouth of the wearer of the false face, and gripped between his teeth, in holding the tube while the false face iSbeing in- Mounted for sliding movement within the tube 30 I5, is a tube indicated at [6. This tube 16 is of a length greater than the length of the tube l5 and is provided with enlargements I'Iv at its ends, so that movement of the tube 16 longitudinally of the tube l5 will be restricted in 5 either direction.

Formed in the outer end of the tube 16, are openings indicated at l8, which openings, when the tube I6 is moved to a position as illustrated by Fig. 4 of the drawings, permit air topass 40 from the tube l6, into the compartment 13 and various passageways and spaces or compartments of the false face, inflating the spaces or pouches to the desired degree.

It is obvious that when the person wearing the false face, forces the tube I6 outwardly to the position shown by Figure 4, and when the false face has been properly inflated, the tube I6 will, when pressure by the tongue of the person wearing the false face, is released at the inner ends of the tube l6, air pressure in the various spaces or compartments of the false face, will contact with the outer closed end l8 of the tube 15, forcing the tube to the position as illustrated by Fig. 5 of the drawings, thereby prevent- I wearer of the false face.

In order that the false face may be conveniently worn on the head of I a person, securing straps indicated by thereference character 20 are provided, the straps being of length to pass around the rear surface of the head and neck of the.

In view of the foregoing description, it is believed that a further detailed description as to the use of the device is unnecessary.

What is claimed is:

In a false face, a body portion including outer and inner contacting walls constructed of flexible material and secured together at predetermined points, portions of the walls between the secured portions thereof providing pouches, passageways connecting the pouches, a valve including a main valve tube connected with the body portion, an inner valve tube mounted within the main valve tube and slidable longitudinally thereof, one end of the inner valve tube being closed, said inner valve tube having openings formed in the wall thereof and through which air passes to said pouches, said valve tube being normally moved to its closed position by air pressure within thefalse face, and said valve tube adapted to be moved to a position to admit air to the pouches, by the tongue of the person using the false face.
