This invention relates to abiii ing A'coi1`s-`truc tion and more particularly to a'rne/ansfor securing together dierent members of a building in such 'a manner as to retin'them rmly united and to'provide makimiir'n's'trengtli Tand durability forthe 'entire structure. f. .An object of this irrvenuon'gisto provide I,riti/e1 means 'for rmlyje's'cuing '1-"`f.'i"ft'e`rs;` roof "supp-orting frames, or similar members, in position upon Wall upright members and the said upright members vertically upon the building foundation.
A further object of this invention is to provide a construction comprising tubular members secured together by means of strands, such as cables or the like, for reinforcing said members and securing them together.
Further objects and advantages of my invention will be more clearly understood from the following description and from the accompanying drawings, in Which:
Fig. 1 is a view in central vertical section, illustrating a building construction embodying my invention.
Fig. 2 is a similar View showing the invention as applied to a modified form of the construction.
Fig. 3 is a view in central vertical section on the line 3--3 yof Fig. 2.
The construction shown in the drawings preferably comprises upright tubular posts 5 which are mounted upon a foundation 6 that is formed in the ground, indicated at 'I between form plates 8. A roof frame 9 .is supported upon the tops of said posts. This frame is constructed of tubular rafters I and a tubular beam I I.
In erecting the frame of a building, the form plates 8 are first placed in the ground to form the foundation 6. Top plates I2 are then placed upon the tops of the plates 8 to support the posts -5 which project through the said plates I2 Vand are supported thereon by means of temporary flanges I3 which are clamped to the posts.
A cable I 4 is threaded through the beam II and the rafters Ill- I0 andthe vends thereof are permitted to hang downwardly through openings in the beam II and lengthwise through the posts 5 5. Weights I5 are then secured to the ends of said cable and permitted to hang between the form plates 8. If desired, the entire unit, consisting of the side posts 5 and the frame 9, may be assembled fiat on the ground and then raised vertically and placed with the ends of the posts 5 upon the plates I2.
After the said frame construction is placed in vertical position, the weights I5 will retain it in said position as their weight is applied `upon (ci. i12- 1.)

Cement, or other similar material, may then be poured downwardly through the said posts, from the tops thereof, until the foundation 6 is formed and the posts are filled as shown. This cement is then permitted to harden and thereby embed the ends of the cable I4, together with the weights I 5, solidly in the structure.
It will be noted that the cable I4, being threaded through the beam II and around through the rafters III-I0, will unite the roof frame so as to firmly secure the rafter against longitudinal displacement upon the beam I I and thereby reinforce said frame.
In the modified form shown in Fig. 2, the cable is threaded in one direction to the center of the beam II, then upwardly through the post I6, then downwardly in one of the rafters I0, then through the beam II to the opposite end thereof, then upwardly on the other rafter Ill, downwardly through the post I6 and outwardly in the other direction through the beam II the ends of the cable may hang downwardly through the post 5 in the same manner as in Fig. 1. This construction will firmly secure the rafters I0 to the post I6, as well as to the beam II, and the entire frame is secured to the uprights 5.
I t will be noted that after the required number of the above described units are in position and the cement has been poured, the remainder of the building may be constructed in a conventional manner so that all of the said units will be securely tied together and thereby held in position to render the said building strong and durable.
As shown in Fig. 1, after the building has been erected, the space between the foundation may be lled with cement to form a i'loor foundation I1 and, if desired, cement blocks I8 may be laid upon the said floor foundation.
The above described construction will provide an economical as well as a very strong and durable building construction.
I claim:
1. A building construction comprising a foundation, a pair of tubular upright posts mounted on said foundation, a roof frame mounted on said posts, and a continuous flexible strand extending through said posts and frame and having the opposite end portions thereof depending through said posts and secured .in said foundation.
2. A building construction comprising a foundation. a pair of upright tubular posts, a tubular frame supported upon said posts, a cable extending through said frame and having portions of the ends thereof depending downwardly through said posts into said foundation,r and Weights secured to'thesaid ends and embedded in thesaid foundation` for anchoring the construction in position thereon.
3.
