Abstract
A hand lotion dispensing device comprises a housing having a coin slot formed therein, a viewing window therein and a lotion opening therein. Atransparent container of hand lotion in the housing has an opening therein at the lotion opening of the housing. The container is positioned at the viewing window to permit visual observation of the level of lotion in the container. A valve at the opening of the container controls the supply of hand lotion from the container via the opening. A coin meter in the housing opens at the coin slot of the housing and is coupled to the valve for controlling the operation of the valve upon the supply of a coin to the coin meter.

The container is positioned at the viewing window to permit visual observation of the level of lotion in the container. A valve at the opening of the container controls the supply of hand lotion from thecontainer via the opening. A coin meter in the housing opens at the coin slot of the housing and is coupled to the valve for controlling the operation of the valve upon the supply of a coin to the coin meter.
3 Claims, 2 Drawing Figures ll/j/l/Y [ll/I III/l/I/I lI/l/I/l/ HAND LOTION DISPENSING DEVICE DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a hand lotion dispensing device.
The principal object of the invention is to provide a coin-operated hand lotion dispensing device for dispensing hand lotion in public places conveniently, in a sanitary manner and with efficiency and effectiveness.
In order that the invention may be readily carried into effect, it will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing, wherein:
FIG. 1" is a perspective view of an embodiment of the hand'lotion dispensing device of the invention; and
FIG. 2 is a partially cutaway view of the hand lotion device of the invention.
In the FIGS., te same components are identified by the same reference numerals.
The hand lotion dispensing device of the invention comprises a housing 1 (FIGS. 1 and 2) having a coin slot 2 (FIG. 1) formed therein, a viewing window 3 (FIGS. [and 2) therein and a lotion opening 4 (FIG. 2) therein.
A transparent container 5 (FIG. 2 of hand lotion in the housingl has an-opening 6 therein (FIG. 2) at the lotion opening 4 of the housing. The container 5 is positioned at the viewing window 3 to permit visual observation of the level 7 (FIGS. 1 and 2) of lotion in the container.
An orifice adjuster 8 (FIG. 2) in the housing 1 at the opening 6 of the container adjusts the size of the opening under manual operation.
The housing 1 has an openable cover 9 (FIGS. 1 and 2) thereon for access to the container 5 and a coin meter 10 (FIG. 2).
A valve 11 (FIG. 2) of any suitable type, such as, for example, a solenoid valve, at the opening 6 of the container 5 in the housing 1 controls the supply of hand lotion from said container via said opening.
The coin meter 10 is in the housing 1 and opens at the coin slot 2. The coin meter 10 is coupled to the valve 11 and controls the operation of the valve upon the supply of a coin to the coin meter via the coin slot 2. The coin meter 10 has a timer included therein in a known manner, and opens the valve 11 for a predetermined period of time upon the supply of a coin thereto. Thus, a predetermined amount of hand lotion is dispensed for a coin.
While the invention has been described by means of. a specific example and in a specific embodiment, I do not with to be limited thereto, for obvious modifications will occur to those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
I claim: l. A hand lotion dispensing device, comprising A housing having a coin slot formed therein, a viewing window therein and a lotion opening therein, the viewing window comprising a substantially elongated slot;
A transparent container of hand lotion in the housing,-
having an opening therein at the lotion opening of the housing, the container being positioned at the viewing window to permit visual observation of the level of lotion in the container, the viewing window extending substantially lengthwise of the container;
valve means at the opening of the container for controlling the supply of hand lotion from the container via the opening;
coin metering means in the housing opening at the claim 1, wherein the coin metering means opens the valve means for a predetermined period upon the supply of a coin thereto.
3. A hand lotion dispensing device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the housing has an openable cover thereon for access to the container and coin metering means.
Claims (3)
1. A hand lotion dispensing device, comprising A housing having a coin slot formed therein, a viewing window therein and a lotion opening therein, the viewing window comprising a substantiaLly elongated slot; A transparent container of hand lotion in the housing having an opening therein at the lotion opening of the housing, the container being positioned at the viewing window to permit visual observation of the level of lotion in the container, the viewing window extending substantially lengthwise of the container; valve means at the opening of the container for controlling the supply of hand lotion from the container via the opening; coin metering means in the housing opening at the coin slot of the housing and coupled to the valve means for controlling the operation of the valve means upon the supply of a coin to the coin metering means; orifice adjusting means in the housing at the opening of the container for adjusting the size of the opening.
2. A hand lotion dispensing device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the coin metering means opens the valve means for a predetermined period upon the supply of a coin thereto.
3. A hand lotion dispensing device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the housing has an openable cover thereon for access to the container and coin metering means.
