1 Claim, 3 Drawing Figures COMBINED SLEEPING BAG AND INFLATABLE TENT SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION bag and cover can be rolled up into a conventional cylindrically shaped roll which is easily carried or stored.
The cover, when the package is unrolled, can be inflated to form a tent with the bag disposed therein ready for use. More particularly, the inflated cover defines a hollow half cylinder closed at each end with the flat side of the cylinder serving as the bottom of the tent. The bottom of the bag can be secured to the inner surface of the flat side. At least one of the closed ends can contain sealable flaps which can be opened to function as a door. the cover can have flexible loops which extend outside of the cylinder and which can receive stakes. The stakes, when driven through the loops into the ground, can hold the tent in place. Alternatively the tent can be held in place without stakes by the weight of the contents.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS In the drawings: FIG. 1 is a perspective view of my invention in use;
FIG. 2 is a cross section taken along line 2-2 in FIG. 1; and
FIG. 3 is a perspective view of my invention in rolled up or collapsed position.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT Referring now to FIGS. 1-3, a flexible roll up type sleeping bag 10 has a hollow roll up type cover 12 with ribs 14. The cover is hollow and has an inflation valve 16 which can be removed to allow air to escape. The valve when in position is one way and only permits the cover to be inflated.
The cover is partially detached from the bag having a non inflatable section 18 which is secured to the bottom of the bag.
The cover when inflated forms a horizontally extending hollow half cylinder with closed ends 20. At least one end has sealable flaps 22 which can be opened to function as a door. Section 18 forms the bottom of the tent and supports the bag for use.
Flexible loops 24 are secured to opposite sides of section 18 and can be extended outward therefrom to receive stakes 26. When the stakes are driven therethrough, the tent can be held in place for use as indicated.
The inflatable portion of the cover can have sealed port holes 28 and sealable vents 30.
While I have described my invention with particular reference to the drawings, such is not to be considered as limiting its actual scope.
Having thus described this invention, what is asserted as new is:
1. In combination:
a sleeping bag;
a partially detached flexible inflatable cover for said bag, the cover forming a tent with the bag disposed therein and when inflated defining a horizontal hollow half cylinder closed at each end with the flat side of the half cylinder serving as the bottom of the tent, the bottom the bag being secured to the inner surface of the flat side, at least one of the closed ends containing sealable flaps which can be opened to function as a door; and
flexible loops secured to the cover and extending outside of the cylinder, said loops being arranged to receive stakes which when driven into the ground hold the tent in place.

Claims (1)

1. In combination: A SLEEPING BAG; A PARTIALLY DETACHED FLEXIBLE INFLATABLE COVER FOR SAID BAG, THE COVER FORMING A TENT WITH THE BAG DISPOSED THEREIN AND WHEN INFLATED DEFINING A HORIZONTAL HOLLOW HALF CYLINDER CLOSED AT EACH END WITH THE FLAT SIDE OF THE HALF CYLINDER SERVING AS THE BOTTOM OF THE TENT, THE BOTTOM THE BAG BEING SECURED TO THE INNER SURFACE OF THE FLAT SIDE, AT LEAST ONE OF THE CLOSED ENDS CONTAINING SEALABLE FLAPS WHICH CAN BE OPENED TO FUNCTION AS A DOOR; AND FLEXIBLE LOOPS SECURED TO THE COVER AND EXTENDING OUTSIDE OF THE CYLINDER, SAID LOOPS BEING ARRANGED TO RECEIVE STAKES WHICH WHEN DRIVEN INTO THE GROUND HOLD THE TENT IN PLACE.
