All these devices have a common disadvantage, namely that with greater distances of the facing from the supporting wall or the ceiling, exceeding e.g. 80 mm, the facing cannot be exactly adjusted with regard to the supporting wall or the ceiling, so that the uneven ness of the supporting wall or the ceiling cannot be accurately compensated.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the invention to remove the abovementioned disadvantage and to propose a device for holding front wall or inside wall facings as well as inside or outside facings of a ceiling at a pre-set distance from the supporting wall or the celing, allowing the facing plate to be exactly adjusted with regard to the supporting wall or the ceiling at a distance or spacing exceeding 80 mm.
According to the invention, the holding device is characterised in that the bracket comprises a tube-like receiving member extending perpendicularly to the supporting wall or the ceiling and outwardly of the same and into which an inserting neck of a compensating element is introduced, the neck having grooves on the opposite sides thereof, and the bearer head of the compensating element being clamped in a U-shaped girder by a wedge-like clamping bolt, with the bolt being introduced in a groove of the bearer head and supported with its holding lug by the inner side of the elevated edge of girder.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS For a better understanding of the invention, reference is made to the accompanying drawings, in which FIG. 1 is a partial sectional view of the device,
ranged in close relationship. The grooves 4 on one side are staggered with regard to the grooves on the other side. The inserting neck 3a is locked within the receiving part la by the peg 8. The peg 8 can be inserted in various grooves 4 of the compensating element 3 so that the required distance of the facing plate from the supporting wall 2 can be precisely adjusted.
The other end of the compensating element 3 is formed as a bearer head 3b which is provided with two opposite grooves. The bearer head 3b of the compensating element 3 is introduced into a U-shaped girder 5 and an elevated edge of the girder 5 is inserted in the one groove of the bearer head 3b and a wedge-like clamping bolt 6 is inserted in the opposite groove so that the bearer head is clamped within the girder 5.
The wedge-like clamping bolt 6 has a butting face 6b which is inclined to the horizontal axis to allow the inserting of the clamping bolt 6 against the elevated edge of the girder 5. This butting face goes over in an indented surface 60 which is parallel to the horizontal axis, which surface serves in its effective position for gripping engagement with the elevated edge 5a of the girder 5. The clamping bolt 6 has a holding lug 6awhich projects sidewards and the outline of which follows the outline of the both surfaces 6b and 6c. This holding lug 6a is supported by the elevated edge 5a of the girder 5. The surface of the clamping bolt 6 lying opposite to the indented surface 6c is stepped, the
FIG. 2 is a section following the line IIII of FIG. 1,
FIG. 3 is a section following the line III-III of FIG. 1, and
FIG. 4 is a plan view of a wedge-shaped holding bolt of a bearer head, the associated girder being illustrated partially in section.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT FIG. 1 shows a bracket 1 fastened to a supporting wall 2. The bracket 1. has a tubular receiving part la which is perpendicular to the supporting wall 2 and extends out of the same and is rectangular in cross section. Two opposite walls of the receiving part 1a have stepped part forming a stop edge 6d. The stop edge 6d provides a safety factor, because it prevents the clamping bolt 6 from being taken out from its clamped position.
The compensating element 3 can be supplied in different lengths so that the distance of a not shown facing plate to be fastened to the girder 5 from the supporting wall 2 can be changed as required. The above described holding device is advantageously used to hold front wall or inside wall facings at a distance of mm 210 mm from the supporting wall. Within this range the facing plate can be exactly adjusted with regard to the supporting wall. The compensating element is clamped by the wedge-like clamping bolt on the girder very solidly so that no movement of the same can occur.
What is claimed is:
1. In a device for holding front or inside wall facings at a pre-set distance from a supporting wall, or for holding inside or outside facings of a ceiling at a pre-set distance from the ceiling, and of the type including a bracket fastened ot the supporting wall or the ceiling, the improvement comprising, in combination, a tubelike receiving member forming part of said bracket and arranged to extend perpendicularly outwardly from the supporting wall or ceiling on which said bracket is fastened; a compensating element having an inserting neck at one end and a bearer head at its opposite end, said inserting neck being constructed for insertion into said tube-like receiving member; said inserting neck having grooves on a pair of opposite sides thereof cooperable with means for anchoring the inserting neck in said tube-like receiving member; a U-shaped girder formed with parallel flanges having inturned lips at their outer ends; said bearer head having at least one groove therein cooperable with an inturned lip; and a wedge-like clamping bolt engageable in a groove of the bearing head and formed with a holding leg engaging the inner surface of an inturned lip of said U-shaped girder.
2. Holding device as claimed in claim 1, in which the receiving part of the bracket is rectangular in its section.
