SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 402,491, dated April 30, 1889.
Application filed December 27, 1888. Serial No. 294,759. (No model.)

Be it known that I, BENJAMIN F. THOMAS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Denver, in the county of Arapahoe and State of Colorado, have invented certain new and nseful Improvements in Pocket-Books, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings, in which-a Figure l represents av View of an ordinary pocket-book with my invention applied to it, the iiap being open; Fig. 2, a transverse seotional view ofthe book closed.
The obj eet of the invention is to provide an ordinary pocketbook with an ordinary horseshoe-magnet or loadstone, whereby the healing and nervine properties of the magnet will be administered to the person Carrying the book in a constant and unobtrusive manner.
