ABDOMINAL GUARD AND 'SUPPORTER- ratenteu' Apr1'l9, 1907.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JOHN GAMBLE, a citizen of the UnitedStates, residing at PhiladelphiaJ Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Abdominal Guards and Supporters, of which the following is a specificatlon.

My present invention relates to the improvements in abdominal guards and supik l perspiration, and

porters desi ed `more ball, foot-ba and boxers, and the like.

The object of the invention is to rovide a light and comfortable sup orter W oh will be ventilated, which Will lie free from any parts capable of becoming saturated with which may be easily and thus kept in a sanlespecially for basepolo players, wrestlers,

cleansed and dried, tary condition.

W'ith these and possibl A view the invention inclu es the novel features of construction hereinafter described, and particularly pointed out in the appended claim.

The invention is illustrated in the accom- Flgure 1 1s a s1de elevation; I Fig. 2, a face view, and Fig. 3 a section on line 3 3 of Fig. 1.

Around the edge is secured a rubber protector 7, consisting, preferably, of a strip of rubber folded over the edges of the frame and having its edges reinforced by strips of canvas or other substantially waterproof fabric, as indicated at 8, these being secured in place by sewing through suitable perforations in the frame, the stitches being indicated at 9. The Ordinary holding straps or tapes are indicated at 10 and 11.

Having thus described my invention, what An abdominal guard and supporter comprising a corrugated sheet-metal body having a non-corrosive surface and its edge provided with a moisture-proof padding, substantially as described.
