This inventionis an improved stopper for bottles, particularly for use in bottles contaimng poison or other da erous'subs tances, the ob ect of the inventiotiieing to provide a stopper which also forms a cap and which necessarily consumes some time while it is being removed from'the bottle so that it serves to indicate that the contents ofthe bottle are of unusual character, to' caution the personusing the bottle.

In the accompanying drawings,'Figure 1 is a side elevation of a bottle provided with a stopper and a cap. constructed in accordance with this invention. Fig. 2 is a sectional view of the same. Fig. 3 is a detail transverse sectional view through the stopper and cap. v The bottle 1, which may otherwise be of anysuitable construction, is provided on the suitable point with screw-threads 2. In combination with a bottle having a screw thread on its neck at a distance from its mouth, a cap having a sleeve (portion to fit on the mouth of the bottle, sai sleeve portion being interiorly threaded at its lower end to engage the threads of the bottle neck and being further provided with externally located annular beads to strengthen the construction of the threaded portion of the sleeve, and a stopper on the innerside of the cap and disposed within the sleeve, said stopper being united to the cap and movable therewith when the sleeve. ls-screwed or unscrewed on the bottle.
