To all' whom 'it ma/y concern:

Be it known that I, O HES'DER W. SYKES, of the town of Suiiield, State of Connecticut, have invented an 1111-' proved (llarving-Dish; :tud I `do hereby declare the following' to be :tfull and exact description thereof, referenoe being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters` of reference marked thereon.

The nature of my invention consists in forming, on the inner sulfaee of V'n carving-dish, points, or other projections, for the purpose of preventing meats'and other' edibles from changing positionA during the process of carving.

The points, or other projecting surfacesglpon the inner snrfaee of a catrving-dish, to retain, in the desited position, meats and other .articles while -being carved.
